We have been watching you and your realty videos on RUclips for years, it seems as you are the mayor of Houlton as well as the realtor, police chief, soap box derby announcer, the town plow driver, and principal of all the schools. Thank you for all the laughs that you have provided to us!
Small towns in Maine, where everyone wears many hats and contributse +davidduquette Thank you for stopping in! www.mooersrealty.com/houlton
Thanks so much
Haven't lived in snow country in 45 years. Only seen 3 snows since ,gone within days. Looking to move back north. But...I think we maybe had better hold on to a winter lot here. Thanks for posting this. Beautiful, houlton looks like a nice little town.
Well....not so little. We have to drive 45 miles to a town her size. Ours has all of 6,ooo citizens.
.
Wife & I looking to move north next year. Maybe Maine or N. H. Missing the cold & snow
Lived in Aroostook County for 4 years, courtesy of Uncle Sam, that was enough for me!!
beautiful town....reminds me of Jimmy Stewart movie “It’s a Wonderful Life"

You are very welcome for my comment, AND it was sweet to get mail from an unexpected source
into my inbox...woo hoo !
Please dont ever take your video down, as Im really homesick this year, and nobody in my suburb or community speaks with the correct accent....
It’s more comfort than you will ever know, just to be able to hear the audio portion in this video...
AND, the visuals bring me back to a time in my life, when things were childlike, and perfect, long
before the world. ( and everyone in it ) went to the dark side...
I still prefer the cold temps, keeping my inside air at a mean 67 deg. F.
Even though I left my hometown, Bangor, in 1978, at age 24, to enlist in the Navy, ( mess
specialist ) I really do miss the old days-- listening to high school basketball tourneys on radio,
picking apples in fall, ice skating on pond in winter, clearing snow...
Those were the days, I could sit on the front porch at night with my sisters, and, in the dark, as a
vehicle approached, I could tell you the make of the vehicle, just by the headlights...
No use trying that now, lol..
Mama, daddy, both Nanas are gone now....but, I still remember mostly everything they taught me..
I’ve gone through my life, wrongfully thinking that my family were just a bunch of shit-asses, but,
truth be told, I would not hesitate to burn everything I have now, just to go back in time to the year
1961, and get a do-over...( hell of a ride, but might not change one thing )
Im ever so grateful I was born and raised in Maine..
Im a widow now, but still keep 2 black Labrador dogs....yay !
*** Please consider uploading some new videos ( in Georgia ) just so we can hear your accent..
In the meantime, I plan to replay this video here, because it takes me back to my roots, while
giving me comfort and peace..
I do not even recall exactly how I found it, but, no matter...
Appreciated so much,
from Kate in NorthWest Florida Panhandle
Monday the Labrador mix. 3.75 yrs.
Lucien the Labrador. 4 mo.
p.s.
All I want for Christmas is. ( Moxie, some decent doughnuts, bakery products, decent Asian cuisine, steamers, lobster roll, fiddleheads, mince pie with real venison, and semi truck loaded with Allens coffee brandy. ). And a real fireplace, not this fake one like I have here...and someone with cribbage
skills, who can make me laugh every day....oh, and more potatoes, of course...
Is that too much to ask ?
Happy Holiday Season to All....( don’t frig up )
xxxxxooooo

We complain here in Brisbane Australia of a steaming hot Christmas and new year but after seen you video I'll stick with our December summer storms. Nevertheless one day I would like to visit your town which looks beautiful.
Hope you do! www.meinmaine.com/2016/11/24/houlton-maine-tell-me-about-aroostook-countys-oldest-town/
Thank you for the beautiful winter scenery, quite a nice town. I see that your town is way up in Maine next to the Canadian border, thus all the snow. Did your town get a lot of snow from the blizzard that hit Maine on February 13-15? Always wanted to travel up to Maine, my wife is looking at trips to Arcadia National park this summer, maybe might get up there this year for the first time. Snow doesn't bother me, especially if the area has the proper equipment to deal with it and the people know how to drive in it. Here in southwest Ohio people just act stupid on the roads when it snows and the schools are off if it snows 2 inches. There is nothing better than breathing in the cold clean fresh air of a snow storm and the quiet it becomes when it snows.
Not much this year and melting off fast with higher temperatures around 50 and sunshine, light rain too! Winter is just one of the four seasons in Maine!
Love the snow
its been a wile since i was is houlton last i live in east millinocket maine i used to live in sherman maine
Really enjoyed this, just now.
Thanks...

Caribou, Conner schools closed. What is the problem with. northern Maine. We never had a snow day in the 50's and 60's. The only time we where out of school was when Conner consoladetd burnt down and we had no school to go too
you got to love New England?
Coming up from Georgia ( medical worker) ideas and tips on , clothing, driving, and living through this kind of weather. Thanks
Thank you +eugenegary We Mainers love all the seasons.. winter especially! We know how to plow, have fun in the white fluffy snow.
Having difficulty finding rental property, 2 bedroom apt, house etc. Any ideas?
@@mgary3 Right now rentals are short supply because of COVID19 but will look around for you!
Believe it or not, I actually miss those snow storms that I grew up with in Massachusetts. They can be dangerous if you don't use your common sense otherwise they can be quite beautiful. Downtown Houlton has a lot of character.
I lived on spring St in 08
Yay ! I love this video....Im from Bangor, but hunkered down in Pensacola, Florida...
Happy Halloween 🎃. 31 October 2019
Thank you for the response! Glad you liked it!
no wonder we dont get much snow in the UK, looks like they drop most of it on you guys before it blows over to us.
we'd be finished if we had a storm like that, it'd ruin us. its the authorities that are useless, its been a bad winter so far by UK standards,we had 12" fall in a day last month and we we're short on road salt cus they used it all on the 6" before xmas. their winter preparations are cross ya fingers and pray that it dont snow.they never learn.you guys are prepared and get on with it
Yep, been there, done that, I live in Oakfield!
Zach Brown I camp in Ludlow
What a great video!!
Lemme ask you... is coming to Houlton worth it? I mean I hear its in the middle of nowhere and I hear that I-95 at its northern end only sees 1,880 vehicles a day... sound believeable?
I love living here, you will like what we have, enjoy what we don't. No traffic, no crime, no gangs and no high priced properties. Space, outdoors, friendly people! Learn more www.meinmaine.com about the local community flavor.
XD I love Maine
Maine is awesome, and the snow is beautiful, but yikes! This Texan would not know how to manage.
TheHealthyAdvocate You wimp!!!?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shoveling snow? Forget that build a homemade flamethrower from a propane tank and a butane torch.
Beautiful place, like Mayberry on steroids.
