Stoked to see you on more of my home trails Jeff! Cactus Garden, Hawes Rocky, Magic Mountain, Ridge... Loved the vid. Loved your SoMo and Lemon drop vid too. Come back to AZ soon!
That's Hawes? Holy cow, guess I need to go back, it wasn't anything like that when I lived there 20 years ago, haha! National is still probably my all time favorite (anywhere, really), and Holbert is a must hit when in the area. There are some unknown diamonds in Flag, too.
I used to ride there a bunch and the N.R.A. freeride area, but now I mostly go there for bass and trout fishing! I saw a crowd there early on Wednesday, made me wanna dust off the ol' hardtail for a spin. My favorite local trail however is National trail on South Mountain.
Right on Bass! I never got to sample NRA, but we did ride National trail a bunch on the last trip! I've got multiple National vids in the editing queue now.
Sweet video. If you are ever back in Tucson I highly recommend trying out Agua Caliente Trail. It's a pretty miserable ride/hike-a-bike up to the top but the descent is epic. I thinks it's better DH than any thing on Mt. Lemmon.
Great ride and great trails. Hawes is one of my favorite trails in Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale area, I head out there a few times a year just to ride. You may want to try out the National Trail and Corona de Loma in Phoenix South Mountain.
Sick riding as always, Jeff! I only live 40 minutes from Hawes and ride it every couple of weeks. However, I'm an amateur compared to you guys! Thanks for sharing and visiting my home state! :-)
Hawes and Usery is are on my wife's favorite places to ride! Would love to see a follow up vid, from you, where you clean Goat Trail going up and down! Challenge posted!
If you're still in AZ go to Tucson and ride La Milagrosa trail. Or do the entire Lemmon drop ride from the top of Mt. Lemmon. Um oops i guess i commented too soon. Looking forward to the Lemmon drop vid.
Just awesome stuff I wish I could ride those trails lol! Will you be taking your DV9 on more rides? just got me one and would love to see you doing some more videos with it !
Let some folks know next time your down here dude! There are some awesome jump lines on the east side of hawes that you would have a blast on 🤙🏼 Locals call it the NRA Pit.
Jeff is a different kinda jumper. he's not worried about getting his front down as fast as possible (like many of us), he' likes to get that front wheel way high and land on the rear wheel just for kicks. unique style.
Hey Willyboy, I ran a 170 dropper on the DV9, it was too tall for me at its lowest extended height but I'm only 5.8" and that bike was a size large. I had to send it back a couple days after I made that video so I haven't been able to shoot anymore on it!
Hi Chris, I use a Hero 6 with a karma grip gimbal for most of this. The Hero 7 is no good in the dark woods, and it's still not as stable as the gimbal, but it's pretty good. I prefer the Hero 7 for Instagram style vertical clips though.
Jeff, thanks for sharing a fund ride in my backyard of Hawes in Mesa. Keep the dirty side down. Jg

I know those trails and your ability to not wash out at those speeds with all the flat turns is amazing.
That was Hawes?! Dang I need to go back there and hunt those trails down next time I’m there. So rad.
probably need better local source too.
That was my response too... it was nothing like that back when I lived there!
Anytime you want a tour of the goods. :)
Hawes, Usery, south mountain, Gold Canyon... I could keep going. I love a lot of trails here! Depends on what I’m feeling is what I go ride.
Me and my brother went to usery but we didn't find anything more fun than what was at San tan :( do you have any trail recommendations up there?
Sweet stuff!
Thanks guys!
Hawes is awesome
Love the follow footage, so fast. I feel blessed that Hawes is my backyard!
Love both sweet up and down, but your ups are the sweetest! Still trying to learn to hop when I run out of momentum...

Yes JKW! Your follow cam with Nate Hills recently was so sick!
Thanks Andy!
Thanks Scuddy- stay tuned for more!
Rad!! Ride them all them time!! Glad you got ride some of the best in Phoenix!!
I was running the WTB Breakout in the rear last month in Az hooked up good.
The Breakout was a great tire! Unfortunately it's been discontinued.

Sweet Trails. 👍
For me that is the ideal place to ride bike, nice vid Jeff!
My local trail system...cool too see you checking it out
Right on Zach!

Right on Ray! Lots of folks LOVE Hawes! I rode a ton on South Mountain, climbed the waterfall three times that same trip. Will post those vids soon!
You gotta check out black canyon trail system especially going south from rock springs. Definitely the best trail in the Phoenix area.
Sick riding as always, Jeff! I only live 40 minutes from Hawes and ride it every couple of weeks. However, I'm an amateur compared to you guys! Thanks for sharing and visiting my home state! :-)
Thansk man!
Dang Hawes looks pretty fun! Haven’t been out that way, didn’t realize it had jumps.
Very cool riding! Which trails in the Hawes region were they?

what trails were these at Hawes?
Hi Jeff when were you here ? I like that trail , good video man👍
Thanks PHX- that was the weekend before Christmas!
Jeff is a different kinda jumper. he's not worried about getting his front down as fast as possible (like many of us), he' likes to get that front wheel way high and land on the rear wheel just for kicks. unique style.
Hawes is great, there are some great jump lines on the East side of Hawes as well. South Mountain is obvious choice.
I've been hearing that! We didn't have time to hit those jumps but maybe on the next visit!
Hey I know that your dv9 video was a while ago. Would a pnw bachelor 150 dropper fit the bike? Also can you make a update video on the dv9 too?
Hey Willyboy, I ran a 170 dropper on the DV9, it was too tall for me at its lowest extended height but I'm only 5.8" and that bike was a size large. I had to send it back a couple days after I made that video so I haven't been able to shoot anymore on it!
Jeff Kendall-Weed thanks so a pnw bachelor dropper would fit fine?
Hey Jeff. I ride Hawes all the time but have never seen jump lines. Can you tell me which trails these are please?
are you using a gimbal? hero 7? i want to record my rides, but don't want a gimbal
Hi Chris, I use a Hero 6 with a karma grip gimbal for most of this. The Hero 7 is no good in the dark woods, and it's still not as stable as the gimbal, but it's pretty good. I prefer the Hero 7 for Instagram style vertical clips though.
Awesome vid man! Who the hell thumbs down this?? Some winey little snowflake!
Trail 100 through the phx mountains preserve
We're you flying bro🌲
How do you go about getting sponsored
Hey J, I'm not the best at getting sponsors believe it or not! But it all started with racing a ton while working at bike shops.
Aspen Draw has my vote for best downhill trail
Thanks Ryan!
Sick video!! Puts my recent videos to shame!!
