TBH this song was the most underrated part of the soundtrack. Most people remember the two GOOD Eclipse songs and Linkle, But when I think of Hyrule Warrios OST, this is what comes to mind.
The last line is different from the rest. All the other lines end sound like "ee ee" or "eepee", but that one ends with "eesee". There's a couple theories that the chanting is French, one being "Le hero est ici" (The hero is here) and the other being "Protéger l’épée" (Protect the sword). I think it's both. Protéger l’épée (Protect the sword) Protéger l’épée (Protect the sword) Protéger l’épée (Protect the sword) Protéger l’épée (Protect the sword) (guitar) Protéger l’épée (Protect the sword) Le hero est ici (The hero is here) (guitar) It's representative of the stage. The ghost forces try to "protect the [Master] Sword" at all costs, until they realize that "the hero is here", come to claim the sword that is rightfully his. They then open the way and vanish. As for why it's in French, Nintendo has always drawn on other cultures and religions for inspiration (OoT is a prime example of this), so it's no surprise that they'd utilize other languages as well.
i really like this song as i think it's amazing how they translated the typical ambient temple choir music into an upbeat jam while still keeping the mysterious and holy sounding element.
This Is In My Opinion The Best In Song In HWDE. In It's In My Favorite Mission. This Level Was So Cool And This Music Is Perfection. I Used To Play That Level Just To Her This Song.
And in addition of that i can hear "l'hero" but in french for this particuliar word we can't ignore the "h" so in the end the word should be in 3 syllable not 2.
I remember seeing a theory about it being a different French phrase: Protéger l’épée, or Protect the sword. As the French member of this comment thread, what are your thoughts on this possibility?

BUT. THAT. GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds like they're saying "let peace be."
This sounds like a Mega Man X/Tekken song or something, was NOT expecting this from Zelda
It sounds like Metroid Prime honestly
@loafBread I was thinking the same thing!
That guitar is definitely a dynasty warriors thing
