I've got a 1980 with an oversized head, slight off center on both sides, and the M on DIME is completely missing. And the sideburn drops lower in front of the ear. The ear has something about it, almost matching with the modern dimes and MUCH softer than the 90s ears. The size of the head halves the distance from the edges of the coin causing the mint mark to be half the size of all my other Ds as well as the 1 in the date. The 0 at the end of the date is small to accommodate the mint mark that drops below the top plane of the date. The W in WE is cut off by the border of the coin. And all lettering on the front protrudes further off the surface but with soft definition. The JS has been shrunk and softened to the point of being nearly unrecognizable. The details abruptly stop on the torch even with the Latin with no sign of the upper band above the pommel. And I swear that the torch is only 5 strips wide instead of 7 but I have an 1987 P that is 5 wide as well so that may be just a thing. Those are the only 2 dimes I have that are 5 wide though. OH and it weighs dead on with the rest of my 80s on a grain scale so... I'd love someone's opinion on this little guy I have found other big heads but none with the rest of the neat stuff as well and 0 missing the M.

You weigh it, it must weigh silver dime weight. If it does then submit it to PCGS for grading and authentication. You can use ANACS grading company as well.
