And, I am especially great full to you and another Numismatist, Numismatic for the details referring to the not so loved Roosevelt Dimes; in which I am a good fan of the Roosevelt Dimes! Hello. I don't know of any errors with missing edge reeding. It would have to be broadstruck our of collar and the design details would look spread out. Otherwise it would be damage from someone smoothing the edges.

I have just found a 2018 D Dime that has Mel it appears to be a bug on a leaf on the reverse little bubble and then along the edge of a leaf and appears to have what looks like a worm or a ruffled head in the flame has one little bubble also and on the obverse there looks like Roosevelt has a pimple on his forehead and a few bugs in his hair what do you think about that
Any suggestions on where to find information on 1996w dime varieties? Mine has at minimum a doubled eye. I got overexcited and immediately came to search your site.

I have a question about a Roosevelt dime have you seen a 1969 Roosevelt dime mint mark d that on the back of it it's missing a letter I've looked numerous times for videos like this and don't see many thanks Jim
When you mentioned about the 1965 on a silver planchette , you mentioned to check the weight... I do that to a lot of different coins for transitional years, you mentioned check with a magnet... For what ?? money doesn't stick to a magnet.... 1943 did.....
Maybe it's just me, but I counted only 9 dimes listed: the 1996 W, 1968 DDO, 1970 D DDR, 2004 D double ear, 1982 no P mintmark, 2017 P DDR, 1964 D/D, 1969 Reverse of 68, and 1965 struck on silver planchet...(you very briefly mentioned the 1970 also can have a reverse of 68, so maybe that was the 10th?) Can you clarify for me which one I missed please Daniel?
I found a 1965 Rosy in pretty good shape . Has anyone ever seen a dime where the Ts in 'TRUST' are Y-shaped ? I'd be happy to send a good closeup photo to anyone who might be able to help me , enlighten me as to whether the Ts being Y-shaped is a rarity or something possibly valuable . Thanks in advance ! And happy July 4th !
CoinHELPu Hi , thank you so much for your reply . I'd just looked at a gagillion dimes and had never seen one . Oh well , it's still kindof a novelty . Thanks for all the info you give us !
I've got a 1980 with an oversized head, slight off center on both sides, and the M on DIME is completely missing. And the sideburn drops lower in front of the ear. The ear has something about it, almost matching with the modern dimes and MUCH softer than the 90s ears. The size of the head halves the distance from the edges of the coin causing the mint mark to be half the size of all my other Ds as well as the 1 in the date. The 0 at the end of the date is small to accommodate the mint mark that drops below the top plane of the date. The W in WE is cut off by the border of the coin. And all lettering on the front protrudes further off the surface but with soft definition. The JS has been shrunk and softened to the point of being nearly unrecognizable. The details abruptly stop on the torch even with the Latin with no sign of the upper band above the pommel. And I swear that the torch is only 5 strips wide instead of 7 but I have an 1987 P that is 5 wide as well so that may be just a thing. Those are the only 2 dimes I have that are 5 wide though. OH and it weighs dead on with the rest of my 80s on a grain scale so... I'd love someone's opinion on this little guy I have found other big heads but none with the rest of the neat stuff as well and 0 missing the M.
You’re looking for the wrongs things in coins, minor anomalies doesn’t add collector interest or value to a coin. Stick with varieties like doubled dies.
