I'm almost positive Jackie would have told John to not speak about how he feels to outsiders, only family and to politely say "I don't remember" bc he absolutely remembered and got that love of flying from his dad's AF1 rides and choppers. He didn't want to say anything and Jackie knew there'd be idiots who'd ask him.

Jackie was a woman who cared. And she had class. An example is, after JFK's funeral Jackie Kennedy received tons of mail, written from people all over the nation, expressing their grief
and how badly they felt for her. Kennedy then went about reading each and every letter and she wrote back, and answered personally to each and every individual person that wrote to her.
It took months, but she did it. I believe the main reason why she did that was because, she wanted to help each and every person that wrote to her deal with their grief and sorrow. My mother even wrote to her and never expected to get any response back. When my mother got a personal hand written letter back from Jackie Kennedy, she cried and cried the whole day long. When my father got home from work and asked her what was wrong, my mother showed him the letter and he was upset but he was able to hide it.

At the funeral , writing to console a fellow widow, the wife of the Dallas police officer killed by Oswald, their hosts in Ft. Worth and Dallas, the staff of the hotels they'd stayed at who had specifically redecorated their rooms for them; on and on. She was not "silent" to everyone . Aristotle Onassis was a Oil Shipping Magnate ( he shipped oil for Arab Emirs and the Iranians)! Jacqueline was a hustler and smart to marry the guy!
The big settlement payout by Christina Onassis put Jacqueline, Caroline and John/RIP (died in a plane wreck/ he was not instrument trained) on Easy Street. Marilyn Monroe started to become famous in 1952. By then, Jackie was 23 and already had that voice. When Marilyn Monroe "put on " that voice I don't know but it is highly unlikely she knew who Jacqueline Kennedy was in the early 50's. In my opinion, Jackie's voice sounds more natural - and Marilyn's more put on, especially the way Marilyn would move her lips when she talked. People who have heard Jackie's aunt talk say that she sounds just like Jackie - so it may run in the family.

It’s good that she found some happiness again while she was down here but she did leave her young children to go and marry the billionaire in Greece. I’m sure the kids were great cared for anyways. She inherited millions and millions but that doesn’t buy happiness. And having lost her two babies oh my god can’t even imagine. Not to mention John constantly working his job must have been enormously stressful and all his cheating. No one deserves that

Kennedy expected to still be active in national and world politics following his 2nd term and wanted to stay near Washington. Mrs. Kennedy wanted an estate to ride her horses, so the Virginia location suited them both.

    • @joiisler8986
      @joiisler8986 Год назад

Except MARILYN invented hers for Theater. She was highly influenced by her acting coaches. Her first husband said she sounded almost unrecognizable to him, starting from when he returned from Military duty. (She had done that famous nude “pinup” by then, and was on her way. No longer his “Norma Jean.”)
JACKIE was trained by her Parents (especially her Mother) to speak softly, as a “well-bred Young Lady” should have a certain calm and soothing affectation in her voice. It was thought to make them more desirable, and a “better catch” for marriage. Her Father, particularly, admonished her to never raise her voice, especially in public.
In her rare short public comments, her Mother spoke similarly. They sounded almost identical.
JACKIE was teased mercilessly about it (especially by the KENNEDY sisters); and LEE rebelled against it. (Still, LEE emulated her when it suited her, as well.)

LBJ was a very shrewd politician and some say he was the Pelosi or McConnell of his time for purely knowing how “to play the game”.
He was acutely aware that JFK only wanted him on the ticket to win the South and so he wouldn’t be a pain for his agenda in the Senate where LBJ warded great power and influence.
Aside from the horror of the assassination, it greatly changed the landscape of American politics for the next 8-10 years.
Many historians didn’t believe LBJ would’ve even agreed to be on the ticket in 64’ and let the chips fall where they would and then begin vying for the nomination in 68’.
There were also concerns JFK wouldn’t be able to physically make it through about her four years because of his health issues. When he was assassinated, he wasn’t in good health and was taking large amounts of drugs both legal and otherwise to stay upright.
Those 20-30 seconds in Dallas literally changed the landscape of American history.

    Jacqueline Kennedy:
I always sensed she was this great actress! She was made famous by marrying a US President! That beautiful veil at the funeral of JFK was legendary!
Jackie then married a Greek multimillionaire after Robert Kennedy was killed in Los Angeles, California in 1968! She fled the US for about 7 years! She lived in Greece and New York City! Aristotle Onassis worth 500 Million at one time! Jacqueline got a big settlement from Christina Onassis after Aristotle died of a rare disease!
She was so stylish and glamorous after the Aristotle Onassis marriage! He died after 8 years and left Jackie 26 million dollars ( equal to 100 million in 2022 dollars)! Jackie had to fight Christina Onassis over the 26 million!

Melvin Ascencio I also greatly admire both of them Jackline was very smart & very clever, she spoke 5-7 languages & held speeches it was in the 50tes & 60tes you can't compare that time with today. She truely loved Jack & he loved her, his Medic. Doct. injected him Doping Stuff & Testosteron etc. that is the reason he needed so much Sex, it was his weakness, most men were womanizers then! His Dad was even worse & her Dad was one, too. They had a mutual understanding between each other & Jack had terrible Back n Spine problem. He was a great president, it's horrible how these brutal cowards killed him. It was the worst nightmare more Jackline, her small kids & his Family! They shld ve told Bob not to canditate to be a president, even he got killed! His parents sacrifised all their sons. Poor little J.F.K. he turned 3 yrs on the Day his Dad was killed, it was his/their Destiny. His wife was very brave & it's amazing how she recorded all those Films & showed how he played w. his Kids. Thks to J.F.K we didn't have a 3.rd World with Cuba & Russia, Chrustow tried to fool J.F.K. but he had v. good advisers in his total team! Remember Russia was in East Berlin & whole of East Germany, they took lots of land frm Poland & other countries & bullied everyone there. In Germany many were scared of the russian, specially the poor got badly raped by them & the US soldiers, by the way 3 Mio ladies & they could never talk about this! Any War is a crime for the civilians. You americans pls stop Mr. Trump, he doesn't know what he is doing, he says 1 thing n does an other & he feeds his Ego non stop! My Aunt & Mum had at times an hair style like Jacky, she looked n moved greatly, God bless all of them.

I have often heard that she married Onassis - only to get out of the United States. She was quoted as saying "They are killing Kennedy's - and I have 2 of them!" And that was the reason she married Ari and moved to Skorpios - it gave her the two things she wanted most - security - and the security of money!!!!!! The Kennedy's had money - but Onassis - had it in truckloads - Kennedy was a millionaire - Onassis was a billionaire!!!!!!!!

Jeff Schwartz I don't judge her for marrying Onassis. He wanted to protect her and her kids, and was very good to all of them. I believe it was a fair trade; he got to marry her, and she got protection, adoration and millions out of their partnership. If someone offered those things to me, I'd do it!

+MsJourneyfan Yes, and a big part of it, I think, was the importance of having protection from the media; not wanting to have reporters shouting questions about headshots as she's taking her kids to school or midnight mass or whatever. The kids could be safer physically, but emotionally and psychologically too. The details of how their father died would be a story best told over the years as they got older, guided more by their readiness to absorb it. That's a luxury we would all have that they didn't. At least she could control their exposure somewhat living with Onassis.

Shame on her, doing what any one of would do if we could. You realize she didn't need Onassis to go shopping, right? Would it be okay with you if she stayed unmarried and bought crap she didn't need? One minute she's sitting beside her husband, waving to the kids, and the next, his head explodes and he falls in her lap, a corpse. I don't know why she didn't become a heroin addict! You're scraping the bottom of the barrel to find something to get judgy about.

I disagree with Doris Kearns Goodwin. Jackie had an opinion of LBJ that was separate from Bobby's. I think what she said about LBJ was true. Everyone know that he had a drinking problem. He wasn't terribly cooperative with JFK-- and JFK complained to others about LBJ sitting in on meetings looking sorrowful and never saying anything. Probably the statement that you could "never" get an opinion out of LBJ was partially untrue, but everything else is true in my opinion.
