I don't know why the "Masters of the Air" series chose to show the demise of this plane and crew so differently than what actually happened.. I guess getting burned alive is less palatable to being shot by 20mm or flak. So much for keeping it real.
Yes, you heard right. "Poontang". Maybe I didn't pronounce it correctly. If so, I am sorry! I'm not a native English speaker. My native language is German. What just occurred to me, what does "Poontang" actually mean?
@@B17FlyingFortress oh, no, your pronunciation was fine, it just seemed like an unusually rude word to use as a name! I'm guessing there was no art to go with it.
Great video, nice work.
Thank you :)

A lot of the action is a composite of several aircraft being hit or crew being wounded or killed
TY🙏🙏
Did I hear that correctly - "Poontang"? I haven't heard that expression for decades...

oh, a rude word. no details please :D. Actually, "Poontang" was never painted on the aircraft.
@ingFortress Young men usually go out looking for "Poontang" i.e. a woman to have sex with. It's actually not a slur on the women themselves.
ok, thank you for explaining. A word, I can live without to know it :D
