Nice compilation! As far as I know these are most of the existing videos of him playing Chopin etudes. There are only some more of op. 10 no. 4, no. 12 and op.25 no.1 that yet have to be recovered

i dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
Okay, I gave that poor man another chance and listened to his rendition of 10/8. Terribly self indulgent, lots of notes that Chopin didn't write, muddy and uneven passages... Overall quite heavy handed and show off.
I shouldn't have said "sloppy". That was disrespectful. I just listened to opus 10/1 again and as a matter of fact I came to a more nuanced judgment. It's full of banging in the left hand, of wrong notes and uneven arpeggios in the right. Wait, that's what one calls "sloppy", no? 🤔
@@Pogouldangeliwitz quite interesting that Cziffra is regarded and admired by most of artists but there are always some ignorants one who thinks he knows them all and diss one of the greatest virtuoso who showed his authority in his improvisation (yes, the whole damn thing was just his warm up improvisation for the BBC recording which didn’t include op.10 no.1 in the program) he was simply enjoying the music and warming up for his program. He took the speed that most of the pianists (and highly likely you) can’t play one arpeggio up and down perfectly and he just nailed it effortlessly while having fun with it. You can listen to his 24 Chopin études recording and you will realize that he’s more than capable of playing it clean and crystal clear. As a matter of fact you can only hear what you know and can’t go beyond the little mistakes here and there at the tempo less than 0.00001% of the pianists can play it.
12:28 to 12:48 is what REALLY got me in to classical music, now it’s really the ONLY genre i listen to :)
Same bro. It's really the only genre you need.
I listen to just classical too!
One of my FAVORITE pianists growing up... and STILL is today!

Quel merveilleux pianiste! Il a tout ❤️♥️☀️☀️♥️❤️
Good job with the compilation!!
It was Cziffra, and the others.
Thanks!Yes, Cziffra is unique.

@Solomon Jayceon Instablaster :)
Faster isnt always better
the torrent and waterfall etudes have to be rare videos
That must honestly be the fastest Waterfall rendition on record.
But beside the fast there is the expression and the touch
It’s op.10 no.1 not waterfall. Chopin has not named that étude as such.
@@XPKpianistThis happens you know
@@mehmethacioglu2092 what happens? People just named the shit up without any regards or respect of the composer’s intention?
@@XPKpianist Yeah, simply
At 9.00 is it really Cziffra ? ( with a cat on the piano ). If so he was not in good shape.
It's almost as bad as Horowitz in 1983...
@@Pogouldangeliwitz O.k. , Horowitz in Tokyo 1983 , also in bad shape.
Sure this is Cziffra. Seems it is a late record when he was hardly ill...
He got cancer..
Old man…

この演奏普通に下手やな(笑)
Wow, that was unexpected! 10/1 quite sloppy. Didn't listen further on...
