From every angle - casting, writing, ravishing score, gorgeous production values - this is an incredible series. And as the series progresses, it just gets better. Two seasons are in the can, with a third season slated for 2025. Can't recommend it highly enough!

This pilot is iconic, sometimes I watch as a movie lol and the fact that the story only gets more intense from now on, literally a love story between monsters, it's romantic, disturbing, toxic and beautiful all at the once, buckle up hehe
jacob anderson deserved all the awards for that confession scene alone, he's insanely good in this role

@@cullenarthur8879 Because this video is part of a series where she just watches Pilots of shows, it has happened begore that she’s kept going with a show, but near the end of thr video it seemed like she was saying that she was going to keep watching on her own time.

I went into the show completely blind too and was expecting just some campy, kinda bad (like in a fun way) type show and I was so blown away by how good it was. Jacob Anderson is such a phenomenal actor.

They most definitely DO sleep in coffins, IN THIS. In the lore of Anne Rice coffins are ESSENTIAL.
That annoys me a little bit because there's just no reason why they would be. As long as the light doesn't penetrate the room, you're fine. Sleep in a basement; get room darkening curtains and duct tape them to the wall or move your armoire in front of the window.
I need to see her reaction to the movie with Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst because I love how both the movie and show are the same story set-up and characters but a completely different story. This pilot was so captivating!
Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles was the 1st vampire book series that I ever read. I have every book of the chronicles! I have read them so many times, I think I will need a new set, as they are pretty worn out. Granted, I have had them since I was a teen, and I'm now in my upper 40's lol. I'm so glad you watched this pilot, and I really hope you will continue to watch it on Patreon!
I was about to comment almost the exact same thing. They're the 1st vampire books I read as well in my teens. Then, every book that came out I've re read over the years. I'm 40 now. I was so sad when we lost Anne Rice, but even with the changes the show made I like to think she'd be proud of this series.
@@thekimfilez Anne's son Christopher is one of the producers of the show, and before Anne died, she and Christopher were working on it together. I think they've done an amazing job with the show in honor of Anne. 💔

Thanks for your reaction. Anne Rice was a very gifted writer. She wrote Lestat and Louis perfectly. The wants and desires. The fears and loneliness of being Human are in their story. It is ironic that she told the most Human of stories with two men who are no longer Human. But especially in Louis case, is clinging to that lost Humanity as hard as he can. Is a brilliant book. And this series is the long-waited interpretation we fans have been waiting for.

I watched season 1 last year i was instantly hooked rollin jones has done a great job as showrunner sam reid is Australian he did a great job the only thing i seen him is the movie belle back in 2013 great film
