Love your genuine and honest approach. As a beginner, it's so intimidating to hear all the rules and "musts" and so refreshing to hear someone's real world experiences. Great tank btw.
You are delightful... I appreciate your love for your hobby, your candor, enthusiasm, knowledge, plus the rhythms in your voice. And, your tank is most enviable too!
Yes simple and beautiful! Some reefers scare people away from this hobby adding so much expensive equipment when basically all you need is good ro water good salt and heater and filter and not over feed and a keep water in good par, good to go!
You probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Oscar Yehuda Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Great video great tank too. I haven't done a water change in over 2 years only top off. Not because I'm lazy because it works for me. I get my butt chewed off from alot of forums which I never asked for advice from only to ID check something. They bring up what tank size what filtration what sump etc. when I tell them I get blasted. I am disabled and do what works for me and my tank. And for all the tang police I have three in one tank. Anyway I am glad to see that you have the same views. Why take out water that you've worked so hard on. Thanks Isabella 😊
Hi Izabela, I have to say you’re videos are very interesting. I have been working on a 10 gallon nano reef tank for the last 8 months. And gosh! It’s been a roller coaster. I’ve lost some corals because of fluctuations on water quemistry. And one thing most of new salt or reef aquarium user face is what type of water use. 99% of expert out there say NO tap water, only RO/DI water. But you are that 1% who uses tap water. I’m impressed and I wonder how radical the water can be on an aquarium success. Hmmm. One day I’ll start a project with tap water. Thanks for your experience!!!!!
thanks :) it depends on your tap water. i did a professional analysis so make sure i didnt have lead or something weird. all well so why not use free minerals
Well, that can also be a variant. And yes, I am planning on upgrading to a bigger tank. I have had freshwater tanks without mayor problema, so I wanted to try with saltwater aquarium, but I don’t have much space in my house, that’s why I started with that 10 gallon. Thanks for your follow up
Not sure about her, but I use 2 tidal 110s and all I did was keep the corse sponges, add a intake corse sponge, and fill it with as much seachem matrix media as I could while still closing the lid. They work great.
I use seachem purigen, matrix, and filter foams. Really general stuff :) it's the mangroves and seaweed in my refugium that do the work. Check latest video about the tank in the saltwater playlist ;)
Can I run a fish tank only (2 damsels or chromis) with dry rocks, regular filter, protein skimmer, natural seawater, some macro chaeto, no sump, no water change in half year? Does it possibly work?
What testing was 400 my Triton test here in Europe was only 40 euros and test about 40 items if even more if you have magnet pumps in the tank over time they can leech small amounts of copper I keep a huge sps tank and though every thing was fine until I got Triton,
Why am saying this one day you think everything is fine then crash I do believe in water changes if your tank has a problem what do you do a water change even Triton rec s huge water change
Hello love, I own my own business and I'm editing my first video, before I launch the website too. I like your tank. I was wondering if I can use one of your frames to show customers your clownfish. I never seen a clown host a candalactise anemone before until now. Great job. And I like how you didn't lie to people about the coraline ALGAE. The other purple stuff was painted rock and you never mentioned it, but you basically said that's not it let me find you some. I use to service aquariums but now I take care of my customers stores and I make my own sea salt that I calculated. Anyway great job.
In a reef with corals, stabilize the tank with good parameters and leave it alone while feeding fish quality immune boosting food (look my fish food making video) in just fish tank no corals, raise temps to 30 celcius and drop salinity to 1.020 do that for a week
They will all die. The only way to be ich free is to let the tank go fallow - no fish for 2 months. If you treat the tank with copper, your rock will absorb it and all inverts/corals will die. If you have a hospital tank, then transfer the fish and treat with copper. I hope this helps.
Subscribed! Awesome video! Amazing tips. I will try that out without expensive equipments. By the way I would like to try your recipe if it's okay with you? Where can I find? Thanks

Wow, I can't argue with the results you have. However, there are quite a few things most experience reef keepers advise me not to do and you are doing it and have great results :-)
I have seen plenty of people do no water changes with proper dosing and a big refugium BRS even did a test and had great results but tap water I have well water with a giant UV and filters on it and i wouldnt use it for a reef. for 240 bucks why not just rodi your water with a couple big trash cans or some kind of reservoir. Your results so far are good so thats great but a rodi system might make your stock even happier and they are cheap considering the investment in everything else in your tank....

Real Nice, What do you do for water yellowing, Carbon or something else.
I'm setting up a tank like this right now. Thanks for the information!
how did you do this, what supplment did u use
How did you get blue coralline algae?
I dont think blue coralline exist, its light scattered all over her tank its called disco ball effect.
That is an amazing tank! Very good and informative video. What salt mix do you use for this tank? Very cute accent/voice you have btw ;)
Tap water bare minimum of filtration and this tank looks great wow I am amazed
So so beautiful, 💚 I am so nervous to do a saltwater aquarium. I do love saltwater, but I have freshwater aquarium.
when I heard TAP WATER i passed out
Hehe
I use tap water as well.... I got a 90 gallons with no problems
Tap water is great for topping off minerals
I use drinking water on mine so i dont have to dechlorinate and no unwanted minerals like copper

Hey just wondering what type of media do you use in the tidal? I'm thinking about switching over from my magniflow canister?
Not sure about her, but I use 2 tidal 110s and all I did was keep the corse sponges, add a intake corse sponge, and fill it with as much seachem matrix media as I could while still closing the lid. They work great.

I use seachem purigen, matrix, and filter foams. Really general stuff :) it's the mangroves and seaweed in my refugium that do the work. Check latest video about the tank in the saltwater playlist ;)
Hi this video is very intriguing. I am wondering how this system has turned out over the long term? Thanks!
Still doing good ☺️

@@AquazoneQC great to hear!!
Are you using filter tap water?
Yes I filter through carbon, floss and uv
As long as you do your tests to see how much your tank consumes so you can replenish what gets used. Most dry foods contain PO4.
You’re totally right :)
Did you manage to find the fish ?
Can I run a fish tank only (2 damsels or chromis) with dry rocks, regular filter, protein skimmer, natural seawater, some macro chaeto, no sump, no water change in half year? Does it possibly work?
Maybe but a little WC is always good
Your tank is absolutely amazing, I like your tips too, thx
Hi, what water do you use for your tank. Do you have a rodi Machin?
Yes I do. When water from.city bad I use reverse osmosis
Fantastic video really enjoyed watching
Thanks
Did you always use tap water from the beginning?
Yes mostly
You sound just like Phoebe Buffay ❤️ !!! Thanks for your advice !

Ricodea mushrooms

Another great example of low-tech no-nonsense marine tank keeping.
The secret is, not too much fish in one tank 🤓
I have one nano reef very cheap no sump no skimmer no filter Just with softs corals
