    Great video great tank too. I haven't done a water change in over 2 years only top off. Not because I'm lazy because it works for me. I get my butt chewed off from alot of forums which I never asked for advice from only to ID check something. They bring up what tank size what filtration what sump etc. when I tell them I get blasted. I am disabled and do what works for me and my tank. And for all the tang police I have three in one tank. Anyway I am glad to see that you have the same views. Why take out water that you've worked so hard on.
    Thanks Isabella 😊

    Hi Izabela, I have to say you’re videos are very interesting. I have been working on a 10 gallon nano reef tank for the last 8 months. And gosh! It’s been a roller coaster. I’ve lost some corals because of fluctuations on water quemistry. And one thing most of new salt or reef aquarium user face is what type of water use. 99% of expert out there say NO tap water, only RO/DI water. But you are that 1% who uses tap water. I’m impressed and I wonder how radical the water can be on an aquarium success. Hmmm. One day I’ll start a project with tap water.
    Thanks for your experience!!!!!

    • @AquazoneQC

    • @carlosdaniel00325

      Well, that can also be a variant. And yes, I am planning on upgrading to a bigger tank. I have had freshwater tanks without mayor problema, so I wanted to try with saltwater aquarium, but I don’t have much space in my house, that’s why I started with that 10 gallon. Thanks for your follow up

    • @invaderjoshua6280
      @invaderjoshua6280 3 года назад

      Not sure about her, but I use 2 tidal 110s and all I did was keep the corse sponges, add a intake corse sponge, and fill it with as much seachem matrix media as I could while still closing the lid. They work great.

  • @tashfiqmannan
    @tashfiqmannan 4 года назад

    what media in the tidal? how do you ensure low nitrates? how're you not draining alk and Ca? think you'd be able to keep stony corals in there?

    • @AquazoneQC
      @AquazoneQC  4 года назад

      I use seachem purigen, matrix, and filter foams. Really general stuff :) it's the mangroves and seaweed in my refugium that do the work. Check latest video about the tank in the saltwater playlist ;)

    Hello love, I own my own business and I'm editing my first video, before I launch the website too. I like your tank. I was wondering if I can use one of your frames to show customers your clownfish. I never seen a clown host a candalactise anemone before until now. Great job. And I like how you didn't lie to people about the coraline ALGAE. The other purple stuff was painted rock and you never mentioned it, but you basically said that's not it let me find you some. I use to service aquariums but now I take care of my customers stores and I make my own sea salt that I calculated. Anyway great job.

      In a reef with corals, stabilize the tank with good parameters and leave it alone while feeding fish quality immune boosting food (look my fish food making video) in just fish tank no corals, raise temps to 30 celcius and drop salinity to 1.020 do that for a week

    • @multanemo
      @multanemo 6 лет назад

      They will all die. The only way to be ich free is to let the tank go fallow - no fish for 2 months. If you treat the tank with copper, your rock will absorb it and all inverts/corals will die. If you have a hospital tank, then transfer the fish and treat with copper. I hope this helps.

Your results so far are good so thats great but a rodi system might make your stock even happier and they are cheap considering the investment in everything else in your tank....

    was wondering why this video had so many dislikes. Now I know. I didn't learn shit! You didn't even cover how you get rid of Nitrates! Which is kind of the reason WHY people do water changes.

      SoulLexiol um isn’t that why she has the algae growing in the corner to get rid of nitrates and nitrites along with using seachem safe and a protein skimmer ... stop being a Debbie downer

    I didnt watch your whole video because there are no secrets in concerns to doing no water changes, you simply keep your water pure, which in itself requires that you keep basic marine aquarium principles in check two examples are topping up with pure fresh water and keeping ammonia and nitrite levels very low. I think it is lazy and a sign of stupidity to keep any marine aquarium without changing water. Your aim is to mimic the natural ocean environment fish do not breath in the same water constantly but are breathing in new water that comes in from the tides and currents. While it may appear to your mind that your aquarium is thriving i can assure it is not thriving. At the most it remains stable and relatively healthy but it is not a thriving reef aquarium. This method of not changimg water is for lazy individuals, and im sure the fish and all of the micro organisms would greatly benefit from a water change. Especially with clean unfiltered, natural sea water. You people are not in a position to educate. On top of that fact your using tap water and water conditioners to an aquarium with no water changes. Be honest to me how many corals and fish have you lost that you have not mentioned in this video? There is a possibility that within your suburbs vacinity the tap water may be more suitable but in other areas of the world using tap water is a mistake that is of the level of embarrassing. please start changing at least some of that water with a quality salt mix. Even better use natural sea water then come back and shake my hand

      People like you are literally the EXACT reason that makes me wanna do it this way. In my experience, it’s the people who think they know it all that are the ones who typically don’t know $hit!....lemme ask you this, how is it that prisoners have the best physiques out of everyone? Yet all they have are rusty metal bars and a few weights. They are putting all the people on the outside with all their fancy gym equipment to SHAME!!! YOU are the one in no position to criticize, let alone lecture. What can you teach? Where’s your tank? Where’s your video? Exactly!!!!!!!!! The only thing that’s on a level of embarrassment is how you literally think you made yourself look smart, but all you did was make yourself look stupid. Get a life loser
