A person has ported an old policy to niva bupa last year and that time he was not aware of any pre existing diseases. In general health checkup, if BP/ Diabetes (slow growing disease) are diagnosed, 1. Is it necessary/recommended to declare newly diagnosed disease before renewal of the policy this year? 2. Are there any repercussions around increases in premium? 3. Will this affect sum insured for any/ newly diagnosed disease? It would be great to have answers for these questions.
It is always recommended to maintain your medical file with all medical infromation documents like test reports/ Doctor's precriptions In your case, since it was not a PED, you are not obligated to inform insurance comapny. But , yes maintain a file which will come handy at the time of claims - For eg- company may ask for first consultatyion paper/ diagnosis papers for BP/ Diabetes
Mam... annual Health Check up niva Bupa is annual that is from 1st Jan to 31st December then from again next year ...if we book a test on 25th December 23 and available date of test is test 3rd January 24....will it be counted in 2023 or in which year test is done like in my case test will be done on 3rd January 2024. After multiple emails and calls, they told me that they'll correct the insurance papers and will provide me the updated policy within 24 to 48 hrs. But instead they mailed me and asked for all the documents and additional documents again. I am totally fed up. I purchased the policy on EMI, so the company is cutting the money every month but no resolution has been provided. Could you please tell me what to do in this scenario? It feels like someone looted my hard earned money. Can you please help here?

Depends how important/ significant that condition was , the application got rejected because of incomplete assessment
