Can you test battery life in running mode. wear all day and push start running mode until battery lost. ( not real running but wear to test battery only) that important for smart watch for marathon runner.
OK, since this is new technology in a large round watch, I'll start testing the battery. I'll edit this post with data as I check the watch from time to time. I'm fully charged 100%. I have turn wrist to light screen set for 15 seconds, and in running mode I have GPS turned on. I have to leave running mode and save the track in order to check battery level, then I'll start it again with GPS on each time. Here we go: ELAPSED TIME BATTERY LEVEL 0.0 HRS 100% 4.0 HRS 60% 8.0 HRS 40% 12.0 HRS 10% 13.0 HRS 0% (but still running) 13 HRS 12 MIN Watch shut down I connected to the charger with the watch off and battery empty and let it charge for 30 minutes, then turned it on. Charge was up to 20%. Then I continued charging with the watch powered on (and the screen visible and always on but no backlight or activities running). Here are the charging results: ELAPSED TIME BATTERY LEVEL 0 MIN 0% 30 MIN 20% 60 MIN 40% 120 MIN 80% ??? MIN 100% (fell asleep after 120 min check) .
Good night sir, I have a Kingwear FS-08 watch, but when we activate the cycling mode, the time and distance in it don't work, how about the improvement? thank you
I'm sorry for my bad english, but I want to help. I bought such a smart watch, but I was disappointed. The basic functions of the clock work, the "always on" transflective display is great! But there are some huge bugs: - The application is very buggy, does not start, or stops unexpectedly, the bluetooth connection is often interrupted (connection is not visible on clock watch), no synchronization of step and sleep data, so the application is unusable - the power management of the clock is not good. the standby time with average usage is 2 days, but if the bluetooth connection works, it is 1.5 days. and what's terrible: the clock is charged to 100%, the battery starts to dive right away even if it is still on the charger! Even if the clock is off! - the notifications hectically arrive at the clock, but the worst is that the incoming calls are not notified to the clock. Never. It would be important for me ... :( - sleep monitor does not always work, eg 11 minutes sleep after a full night. This is so bad. But the sports features are great, the gps also works, it would not be bad in itself I hope I've made it clear. :) I'm happy to answer if there is a question (and I understand :))
does screen turns on when you pull your hands to see the watch? KW06 does not support that feature, you have to push the side button to turn on the watchface.
I noticed most of the smart watch is showing full screen in advertisement, but when you are testing it, it's barely 70% of the rendered image. except this...cool stuff.
What does the button on the left of the watch do? I've just accidentally found the factory settings for this watch, and re-calibrated the screen to my fat fingers, successfully. But I don't know how it got there, & I can't seem to get that screen back up. As you said, a good watch, let down by a p*ss poor app.
I doubt I can get another one unless something more has changed than just the processor. Are there any other significant differences or new features the you have found?
I don't think so. If it can, I probably show it in the part about the tethering app. The only way you could connect would be through the app passing the data to Strava via remote login. It's a bit complex.
does screen turns on when you pull your hands to see the watch? KW06 does not support that feature, you have to push the side button to turn on the watchface.
I don't think so on this one. If you can, it will be a feature in the tethering app, not the watch, so check thoroughly the app which you can download for free before you buy. Also check the apps for the Amazfit PACE and STRAVA for comparison.
in the running mode screen, what does "speed" mean ? is real time speed or average speed? is it KM/H like a speedometer ? thanks a lot if you can answer me, i need this smartwatch to train for a run exam, i need to run on at least 13km/h for 12min... please help me
I'm not sure. I'll have to try and figure it out. Did you see mention of it in the manual I showed on the screen at the beginning of the video? It might discuss it there.
Hey Mr.Ticks another quality video keep them coming please I just have a couple of questions about this particular watch which I have been interested in for a while now 1: is there any possible way to install other watch faces eg. via side loading or anything? 2: this is a similar question but also might seem very stupid, is there any way to sideload apps onto this watch (I know it’s not an android watch just wondering if possible And 3: would it be possible for you to demonstrate the transflective screen in more direct sunlight/ flashlight eg. Basically showing off and testing the screen I would greatly appreciate feedback from yourself or anyone else who can help, thanks
Yes, magnanimous is in fact a word. mag·nan·i·mous very generous or forgiving, especially toward a rival or someone less powerful than oneself. synonyms: generous · charitable · benevolent · beneficent
I have this watch for a week now. These are my impressions: Watch are looking nice and sturdy, only downside is epoxy cover on PPG sensor, which came already scratched. May be a problem in future after it wears down some more. The watch firmware looks nice, however it is far from perfect. There are bugs and the translation is quite funny. The huge iussue is the phone app. Current version 2.1.2 is not working at all. Only thing that works, well... sort of are notifications. Sync does not work, step goal can't be set, because save button does not work, even feedback and issue report is bugged and you are not able to contact app suport via the app. Overall I say it is a sadly missed chance to be a interesting product. I can imagine this watch to be one of the most interesting on the market, considering the price and quite good HW. I am selling this watch and will try Amazfit Pace 2 instead. For the time being I do not recommend buying it. Oh and chceck different sellers, I bought mine for 56€.
Dear Smartwatch Ticks or should I could you Smartwatch Guru :) I searched most of the smartwatch around but still couldn't find anything as I wanted. What I'm looking for is: has built in compass, altimeter, barometer, thermometer stuff (must work without sim card required), hearth rate sensor, but more important than all at least 2 day battery life for normal usage. In addition gps preferably. This watch Kingwear FS08 seems not too bad. But I believe there will be better options. Which one can you suggest?? What do you think about JM01?
You won't be happy with the battery life of the JM01: ruclips.net/video/JOvUtePSMWI/видео.html Right now, with the FS08 being the first and ONLY reasonably priced transflective (read: longer battery life) screen large size smartwatch, it's your best option. Also I'm very hopeful the forthcoming smartwatches of the Casio's. The last one (WSD-F20) almost has everything I need except heart sensor and battery life. If they manage to improve the battery life on next one I'm planning to buy it. I know it is very pricey but it might be worth it. To get to the main point ; I'm willing to buy a smartwatch on near future :P and I finalized my options for these 2. First and possible candidate is FS08 as you suggested and the second one is No1 D7. But there is a lot of negative feedbacks for D7 especially under your video. What are you gonna say for these two?
The D7 is an older wathc by today's standards, and the screen isn't transflective. Take a look at the Amazfit line, particularly the PACE whoch should come down in price with the Amazfit Smartwatch 2 coming out. It might work for you.
please reply :) hello :) what is the best watch / fitband / wristband that is viewable outdoors ...waterproof with real time heart rate if posible if not the maybe dynamic heart rate but hopefully continous real time ....and with blood pressure and oxygen level in about 30 dollars or under 30 dollar with 35 as a maximum ?l ike with a good app... Since you want viewable outdoors, your choices are limited. Amazfit PACE or Smartwatch 2, HEy 3S, and a few others. Google this: "youtube smartwatchticks always on" I try to put always on screen in the titles of the ones that have it. Good luck!

Not yet. This is not an Android watch. We only have the three faces they gave us. It's a start though! This screen on an Android watch with a full clockskin folder would be wonderful! Let's hope they are working on it.
No, unfortunately you're stuck with the ones installed, unless there's a away to get vxl faces in it. It certainly doesn't work the way Android watches do for custom faces.
There is a huge nonconcurrence between manufacturers and consumers. Day by day they are making those watches with better resolution with increased processors. No, no. Those are not our number 1 priorities. Our main concerns are BATTERY LIFE, BATTERY LIFE AND BATTERY LIFE. Please, we are begging you, pleaaasssee focus on that one first! I'm hoping they (manufacturers) read here :)) have a nice day to all...
Yes, I did. They refer to it as a barometer often on these watches because it displays the current barometric pressure. Some pull that from the Internet for your GPS location and some actually have sensors for it. There's no weather predicting though, as it doesn't track changes over time.
The review is excellent. I had it on 2x, yet it was still very clear. About the watch, I like the fact that it can be used to track your workout on its own without syncing. I'm bored of synchronizing with the buggy app of fitbit. It is also interesting that you can use the app anonymously. But, as we have seen the drama with Huawei, can we trust the Chinese with our daily data? I am skeptical. Personally, I don't want the watch to interact with the phone, as a phone, at all; such as receiving call, reading texts etc. The phone is already good for that. I just want a device that helps me with the workout. So this is the closest as I can get until now. The only downside is that it doesn't have the built-in mp3 player and Bluetooth hook up to the headphones.
2nd most important thing is, I don't have time to test for it! Battery life testing can take several days, and I'm reviewing about three watches a week now. Simply a lack of time. But I do ask that users of these watches leave a quick post about their battery life experiences. That will help all of us.
Sorry about that. Here's what I get when it's expanded: www.banggood.com/Kingwear-FS08-Transflective-TFT-Screen-1_26inch-GPS-Heart-Rate-Monitor-Pedometer-Compass-Smart-Watch-p-1250683.html?RUclips&cur_warehouse=CN
hehe deutsch sounds pretty funny when you say it but spelled understandable. Now with this device things are getting more interessting, colors doesnt seem as vivid as on superamoled but if this extends battery life double the time or more this could be very nice device. Greets
Nice watch........but it's not on the level of my Thor 5. I owned two Lemfo smartwatches and both failed inside of six months......I think I'll avoid Lemfo for the foreseeable future. No cheesy elephants in this video.........thanx for the review ;)
Haha, you remember the elephant video! That's great. I'm overdue doing another guppy video again. Gotta work that in for a waterproof watch someday soon. Thanks for your feedback regarding Lemfo. It's good if viewers hear real world experiences.
Hell yeah, an underwater smartwatch review........sounds awesome!!!! I can't think of the watch brand at the moment, but they sell their watches in a transparent water filled containment vessel.......soooooo cool!!!!
If it claims IP67 or IP68, then it's supposed to be waterproof for submersion underwater. Anything less than that and it will probably survive light splashes of water, but probably won't survive being dunked underwater.
Thanks. I retyped the link by hand in case the copy/paste picked up some invisible character or something. I hope it works now. If not, I included the expanded link at the bottom of the show notes.
@@SWT it would be great if smart watch manufacturers continued with improving tech like that along with colour e-ink and e-ink, much like Pebble did. I guess there's a reason they didn't.
Não recomendo. O smartwatch apresenta uma boa aparência entretanto não apresenta suporte para realizar as função descritas. 1) app para transferência de dados é péssimo
tested while swimming as usual , IP68 my ass.. waterproof ? resistant to water? whatever.. they turned OFF with first drop of water like the last chinese cheep shop crap :(
Can you test battery life in running mode.
wear all day and push start running mode until battery lost. ( not real running but wear to test battery only)
that important for smart watch for marathon runner.
Here we go:
ELAPSED TIME BATTERY LEVEL
0.0 HRS 100%
4.0 HRS 60%
8.0 HRS 40%
12.0 HRS 10%
13.0 HRS 0% (but still running)
13 HRS 12 MIN Watch shut down
I connected to the charger with the watch off and battery empty and let it charge for 30 minutes, then turned it on. Charge was up to 20%. Then I continued charging with the watch powered on (and the screen visible and always on but no backlight or activities running). Here are the charging results:
ELAPSED TIME BATTERY LEVEL
0 MIN 0%
30 MIN 20%
60 MIN 40%
120 MIN 80%
??? MIN 100% (fell asleep after 120 min check)
.
Thank you so much. :)
for great review.
Wow, 13 HRs with GPS. It's great smart watch.
that mean this model good enough for marathon running event.
Thank you again for battery testing. :)
You're welcome.
Good review. Please could you tell me if it’s possibile to receive whatsapp and Facebook notifications and read them with iPhone ? Thanks!
Is there any way to change ""watchface""??
Is it compatible with wear os application by google?
Subbed a few days ago. Love your enthusiasm, thorough and fun reviews. Keep up the good work my friend.
Good night sir,
I have a Kingwear FS-08 watch, but when we activate the cycling mode, the time and distance in it don't work, how about the improvement?
thank you
hi ticks, great review but, can you tellme, please, if this smartwatch can control the music in smartphones? thanks!
Hy!Thanks for the great review!
Could you please tell me if the watch is good for tracking swimming? Does it have a swim mode?
Thanks!
Hello, I have a question. How can you play music through the watch. I'm kinda having a little hard time with that. Thanks
Hey there, thanks for this video, they do have climbing mode but no swimming mode.. what mode would you use instead please?
Wow, good question. I don't have any idea, actually.
Pls update about the watch faces are there new watch face available now...!!!

I hope I've made it clear. :)
I'm happy to answer if there is a question (and I understand :))
Thank you for your report. That will be helpful for people.
Dénes Molnár I read this comment, it is actually true, These cons are crucial.. and I regret buying it
does screen turns on when you pull your hands to see the watch? KW06 does not support that feature, you have to push the side button to turn on the watchface.
Hello is it possible to install custom watchfaces in domino dm368 not the plus?
I noticed most of the smart watch is showing full screen in advertisement, but when you are testing it, it's barely 70% of the rendered image.
except this...cool stuff.
does it run music and/ or answer calls?
Is the battery replaceable? Thanks
Please tell me Witch one better FS08 vs amazfit pace??? 😊😊😊

But I don't know how it got there, & I can't seem to get that screen back up. As you said, a good watch, let down by a p*ss poor app.
Does it synchro with STRAVA?
Hey there! Congratulations for your channel. Do you know FS08 now has a MTK2503 version? I'm waiting for your review on that!
I doubt I can get another one unless something more has changed than just the processor. Are there any other significant differences or new features the you have found?
From what I've seen, there's nothing new other that the processor and the price tag. Thanks.
thank you for the video. Can you conect the watch with STRAVA?
I don't think so. If it can, I probably show it in the part about the tethering app. The only way you could connect would be through the app passing the data to Strava via remote login. It's a bit complex.

Remember, this one has an always on screen, so don't worry about turning your wrist!

nothing in the manual about it, could you test this function(speed) in an outdoor running ?... will be a big help for me, very thanks
or you could test it when you drive your car... i only want to know if works like a car speedometer...?
what kind of glass this watch has? I cannot find it. Thanks M.
Good question. I'm not sure.
It's compatible with strava?
Hello, i want to know. this watch is waterproof? and line reminder. thanks.
See in the title? That should answer your question.
Hi does it have wear os?
No, it has a special OS for this watch, not WearOS.
how about the ip68 ..is that work in this watch? can we used to swiming?
Yes, Kingwear claims IP68 so the watch should be OK for swimming.
How is GPS accuracy?
Hey Mr.Ticks another quality video keep them coming please
I just have a couple of questions about this particular watch which I have been interested in for a while now
1: is there any possible way to install other watch faces eg. via side loading or anything?
2: this is a similar question but also might seem very stupid, is there any way to sideload apps onto this watch (I know it’s not an android watch just wondering if possible
And 3: would it be possible for you to demonstrate the transflective screen in more direct sunlight/ flashlight eg. Basically showing off and testing the screen
I would greatly appreciate feedback from yourself or anyone else who can help, thanks
Yes, magnanimous is in fact a word.
mag·nan·i·mous
very generous or forgiving, especially toward a rival or someone less powerful than oneself.
synonyms: generous · charitable · benevolent · beneficent
It's such a fun word to pronounce. I wish I could use it more often! Thanks, and thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I hope more watch owners take the time to give us honest evaluations. Excellent report.
👍 56€? Where?
Can you change the watchface?
Does the clock have an offline navigation?
x D no navigation at all. It's a sport tracker watch.
Can we control music from this watch?
Do I can read messages and reply from the watch
No, sorry, you probably need an Android watch for that. Check out the THOR PRO wit ha similar transflective screen.
Some time on the next day the step cont downloads to the week score but in v 1.4.3 still no day step count
Thanks for letting us know.
v 1.4.4of the app has fixed the main problem of the daily screen

Sorry, I don't know.

No, unfortunately you're stuck with the ones installed, unless there's a away to get vxl faces in it. It certainly doesn't work the way Android watches do for custom faces.

I hope they are reading too. Thanks for your feedback. :)
My Microwear H1 lasts only 2 hours. :-(
So it becomes a garbage. I know it is very beginning for smartwatch era but they are focusing the wrong matters instead of vital issue - battery!
bought one kingwear watch two years ago, the watch last for only 4 hrs lol i turned to garmin sports watch immediately,
A barometer shows barometric pressure which can indicate short-term changes in weather. An altimeter shows the altitude. I think you got it mixed up.
Yes, I did. They refer to it as a barometer often on these watches because it displays the current barometric pressure. Some pull that from the Internet for your GPS location and some actually have sensors for it. There's no weather predicting though, as it doesn't track changes over time.

Yes, it's the Android version. Apple is very restrictive on what you can access via 3rd party apps on their devices.
The most important thing - how is the battery life?
2nd most important thing is, I don't have time to test for it! Battery life testing can take several days, and I'm reviewing about three watches a week now. Simply a lack of time. But I do ask that users of these watches leave a quick post about their battery life experiences. That will help all of us.
Since this is new technology, I tested this one. See first comment reply for results.
it is really waterproof?
The Google shortened URL doesn't work.
Sorry about that. Here's what I get when it's expanded:

Rofl . please never change the way you review things . hilarious hahaha. Thumbs up
Appreciate the feedback. It helps offset the comments from folks who want a more serious, dry review. Plenty of those out there already.
👌👌👍👍 Awesome and detailed as always..
Thanks!
And what the altimeter?
If it shows on the video, then yes.
Поздрав. Regards Mr. Ticks. I find it is very nice watch. Solid options for the preise.
Please watch makers, android watch + transflective screen, please!
We now know it is possible. Thanks for posting this. I know for a fact that they are reading these comments.
Do a review of Mabikes Hr3 pls
Is this the same band? ruclips.net/video/24lKPLtM8LI/видео.html

Zeblaze thor s + Ip68 + That red n black strap = Auto buy.
Glad this one is in stock!
SmartWatch Ticks I just buy Lemfo lem6 sir, and the battery life is sooo bad for 550 mah. 😐
Devin Vinata Zeblaze thor s is not waterproof !!!
xxxvz1 it's just a wish Zzzzz. You do not even understand what i mean. Please be smart 😊.
No swimming mode :(
is it really waterproof?
If it claims IP67 or IP68, then it's supposed to be waterproof for submersion underwater. Anything less than that and it will probably survive light splashes of water, but probably won't survive being dunked underwater.
Well, i have just ordered one because of the water proof thing. :-D I will test it in the first minute when i receive it. :-)
Great! Please let us know how it goes. Thanks.
I will!
How is the watch zoltan...
Hello, Good Morning! Viewer 585 here lol. The link does not work? Thank you.
Good morning sleepy head. The link works for me! Try again: goo.gl/FHyxdf
Yes, this one works. The one on top still doesn't though. Thank you zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz lol
Keep getting this: 404: Page not found - the page goo.gl/FHyxdf%C2%A0%C2%A0 does not exist. on the link at the top.
Thanks. I retyped the link by hand in case the copy/paste picked up some invisible character or something. I hope it works now. If not, I included the expanded link at the bottom of the show notes.
Yes, it works now. Thanks

English?
You SHOULD register in appp. Otherwice it das not work.!!!
Wow, OK. Thanks for letting us know.
Sony brought this tech with their first official smart watch (Smartwatch 2), then the Smartwatch 3.
That was then, I guess, and this is now.
@@SWT it would be great if smart watch manufacturers continued with improving tech like that along with colour e-ink and e-ink, much like Pebble did. I guess there's a reason they didn't.
magnanimous
Such a nice word. Sounds like the name for a first born child.
Não recomendo. O smartwatch apresenta uma boa aparência entretanto não apresenta suporte para realizar as função descritas. 1) app para transferência de dados é péssimo
Nice video
Can you get WhatsApp on this?
This is not an Android phone/watch, so I doubt it. Check the info in the review though. If it's there, I probably covered it.
is not waterproof watch !!
Only if it says IP67 or IP68 can you get it under water, and 5ATM or higher if you want to swim with it.
@@SWT No I had one, after a stay in the pool she died. Bad quality, bad watch. Do not buy it
Ip68 is not waterproof
tested while swimming as usual , IP68 my ass.. waterproof ? resistant to water? whatever.. they turned OFF with first drop of water like the last chinese cheep shop crap :(
Sorry to hear, but thanks for testing. The screen won't work in water, but if water got in and fried the watch, that's not good at all.
@@SWT indeed fried the watch completely .. unable turn it on.. returning back to circus retailer.
