In Las Vegas, February weather averages to be a high of 64°F with a low of 42°F. As you can see, the lows can still get fairly chilly, so it's best to pack layers. Desert nights can get especially cold, so be sure to pack your warm pajamas. While Vegas has an average of 294 sunny days a year, February tends to see more rainy days.

That bacon can’t help but shrink. There’s so much fat in it. It’s just a bit thicker than most bacon. I prefer thick cut bacon. Bacon is loaded with protein. You can even eat it on a heart healthy diet, just a couple of pieces. We call the flower mixture for sauces and gravy roux up north. Yummy. Never thought to slice my potatoes like that. I generally microwave them to partially cook and then fry. Did you put salt and pepper in that gravy?

My stepfather was born in 1896 in Pinebloom, Ga. He made a his cake that was out of this world delicious and he cooked it on the stove top. He used a 8" nonstick little skillet. He mixed self rising flour, milk and bacon grease together. He put 1-2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet, Poured the batter in, cooked it slowly for about 20 minutes, flipped it over, cooked it another 10 minutes or so and it was delicious.!

Today I learned so much. Thank you, Tammy.
First, I’m gonna start slicing my potatoes. Those look sooo YUM. Second, I am going to think more critically about timing. This was an awesome example for breakfast prep. Everything was so fluid, focused, and efficient. 🤯 this would easily take me 1 hr and then some.
Third, I’m getting four new cooking tools:
    - A mixing fork
    - Bacon grease holder
    - Sifter
    - A fish spatula
    - Hand glove for protection during slicing
Thank you for this delightful treat! Admittedly, I’m fancy from Cali but still have sincere reverence for my family’s Southern heritage.
Have a fun vacationing in Vegas! HBD to Chris!
And LOL to your tshirt 😂

I like onions in my taters.😋 I had a class in Art & Architecture when obtaining my Electrical Engineering degree where the professor told us up front that she didn't believe any Engineering major could write well enough to deserve an A. Well, I never got an A out of the old bat, but I got two B+'s! I have to admit I have known engineers who couldn't spell cat even if you gave them the C and the A, but could bury you with the math. I guess I was more rounded. Lol

      😊Hello Ms.Tammy!👋🏿
My mom and them made ours mostly with cornmeal.
Sometimes they woukd add crumbled up bacon, fried fat back, chopped up ham, hot pepper, cheese, onions or just plain..sometimes, sweet, sometimes savory..whatever we had a lot of in the fridge or pantry or seasonal garden.
      They were so darn good.🙏🏿

Back in the day, flour might have had lumps and foreign objects in it. You didn't just to grow it out, you sifted it out. That's one of the reasons they sifted it. Now, all of that is done in the mills.

Looks delicious. We usually like our eggs with the yolks aren't quite done so they are a bit runny unless we're eating them on a sandwich. We usually dice our fried potatoes. At Mom's (mine) we usually eat our eggs with toast. I like to dice my fried eggs really small just like my father did. I am mostly like my father. At Dad's (Lee's as mine died in February 1996) he does biscuits.

I live in Dekalb County during the winter and summer and Arkansas during spring and fall for fishing. I think you speak eloquently and have a good subject and verb agreement. You have a southern drawl and you have a nasal sound. I have the same issues. I have a wall that is papered with degrees but because of sinus issues, I have a hoarse and nasal sound. We love you greatly.

Tammy that tip on the sifter probably helped a lot of people today! Mine is as old as the hills but works perfectly.

When you flour it, it doesn't shrink either. Doesn't shrink when you put it in the oven either. I LOVE THICK SLICED bacon ONLY. Trader Joe's or Sprouts Farmers Market bacon ONLY.

We cook very similar. I use shortening in my biscuits and gravy. I fry my eggs in butter sometimes in bacon grease I make hoe cakes but I call it pone bread but the same recipe. My husband's grandmother taught me how to cook. I'm from VA close to Cumberland Gap but I've been in TX for some time. She taught me how to make cornbread and it is identical to yours. Your video really impressed me and now I'm hungry. Thanks for sharing. ❤

Love my grill Cheese sandwiches… I make them alot I use the cream cheese and butter to on outside of bread and I put Gouda cheese and cheddar.
I also have used Hellman’s mayonnaise on outside of bread and have used Muenster cheese, Swiss or American, pepper Jack. Mostly what ever cheese we have..I just had one Thursday night with tomato soup. Yummo Tammy ❤ We once did Palmetto cheese South Carolina brand and made grill cheese sandwich’s.. No matter what you use grill cheese sandwiches is always good even with a tomato 🍅.. I was trying to post this one the grill Cheese video don’t know what happened lol.. can’t rewrite all this. Lol ❤
