How'd the refs try to screw them? They didn't look like a #1 team. Illini not even ranked. Vols shoulda won by 15 on the road if they the real #1. Jan 25th Auburn gonna blow they doors off by 30
@@scottyking7161 Illinois is top 15 in ken pom and the net rankings. Refs called 2 against Illinois in the second half and 10 against Tennessee. Not to mention the flagrant against mashack that was called a common foul. Don’t come on here unless you bring facts sir.
TN is ranked #1 they are not the best team in the conference and will not finish #1. However, they are a very good team and would have beaten Illinois by 10 or 15 points at Thompson Bowling. And in a fairly officiated game, they would have won by 5 or 6 points at Illinois. There is a photo on the internet that shows Gainey getting hit on the wrist as he made the winning basket. No call by the refs.
