MAN! finally something refreshing from a real dj. after djing myself for 28 years and paying attention to the dmc for a long time i was loosing hope in djs now a days. thank you for restoring my faith.
this is what inspires me to become a better DJ. Now a days theres no one different all u hear is djs playng the same songs in different order or in the same order... appreciate it man. keep up the good work
Great stuff. 6:25... dope as hell man... Beats to the rhyme in reverse to 99 problems?!?! WHAT?! Love the KRS-One beat juggling, too. And real-time mashups. People who don't DJ have no idea how hard all of this is to do! They see someone like you making it look easy and they think "I could do that". They have no idea. Keep this up!!!!
thanks so much for the feedback! means a lot billy18bm!!!! same back dude you're a big motivator, keep it up. wish you lived in cali so we could session haha peace! :D
great job mate!! good tracks nice scratches n damn near perfect execution an i only say near perfect because ive never seen a completly perfect live routine EVER!!!!
I enjoyed so much watching and listening this vid! I have only one year using turntables and I'm learning the scratch technique, and I loved your scratches, pretty good!
Mad respect bro! I think I've watched all your videos more than 100 times each lol I'm new at mixing and I'm having some difficulty mixing tracks of different genres with different BPM. Do you have any tips or resources you can share? Anything would help. Keep it up man!
DJ K.M.C. from the N.O. 504....And Man you have the skills and I can tell that you love your craft....I taught myself how to Dj without videos or anyone at 14, 30 years later I gotta learn all over again (training at home by myself) just to do some of the stuff ya'll cats are pulling off. But looking at this one, you give me a great hand to eye movement to study.....have the things you do on here, back in the day, I would only have an ear perspective of it....now I can see and hear. Thanks!!
He did an excellent live mix, used excellent samples, and has an excellent setup. Just do me a favor and reassure me your comment doesn't stem soley from the equipment he uses, because that would be incredibly ignorant.
Thanks brotha!!! really appreciate it! and some advice i can give you without writing a huge paragraph would be to PRACTICE a whole lot and mixing different genres is almost the same as mixing, lets say all hip hop..the bars are still the same and all that stuff..just make sure the bpm's match up and you should be good! So just keep at it man!!! hope this helped
Just checking :) You know, as a 'controllerist' who appreciates turntablism I get anxious around comments like that. The turntable crowd has a horrible reputation for thinking they are the only 'real DJ's on the planet and they are quite verbal about it. At the end of the day, when I reflect upon the equipment and the style of mixing I personally perform on my controller, I actually have LESS to work with than a SSL user on tables. That was a perfect reply to my comment BTW. Thanks :)
Later fader input on a stab can leave something a little closer to the "sound of the track" other than that you have to do really fast forward scratches (releasing record) when you do a fader input.

Ladies and gentlemen we have yet another person who deserves the title of DJ.
