That first footage is my earliest memories, born at the begining of summer my mom brought me as an infant everyday to the beach, that's my happy place, nantasket beach 1960.

Thank you!!! It was one of my favorites so far. The waves were absolutely perfect. Right at the peak of high tide.

Great day on Nantasket Beach. One of my fondest memories is from a day in the early 80's, my mom and I went in for a day at the beach and I made a dayfriend who asked me to help him dig this huge hole. Sure, why not? So then he covers it in a big aqua colored blanket and covers three of the four edges with sand and some heavy bricks on the corners, and then crawls under the forth edge with a big 2x4 and pokes it up right in the center to make a big tent. Coolest thing I had ever seen. This was WAY before the time of canopies and beach umbrellas were kind of rare. It made it SUPER easy to find your way back to your spot when you went out into the surf for a cool down, just look for the big light blue bubble! You could see it for a quarter mile! Good times!
edit: wow, I do not remember all those boulders or that river rock. And I seem to remember the sandy beach head going a lot deeper before it hit the retaining wall... like a good 75 yards... maybe it's super high tide or something and early in the year when this video was taken and the beach sand hasn't really had a chance to become nice like I remember it. Maybe it's just the fog of years.

I absolutely love this! I don't think it's the fog if it helps lol this video was shot at peak high tide. And I might start stealing that idea to be able to find your spot when I go to the beach from here on!
