Sometimes i wish teams would offer Gamemaster positions when hiring people to make a game, a game master isnt necessarily the person who owns the game, but rather controls how things work, the drop rates, difficulty, amount of enemies, basically, they are the people who bring balance to a game, Undertale Tower Defense was perfect, it had balance, it was fair, it offered difficult challenges that takes genuine effort and time to fight and doesnt force you to pay or to grind away your life trying to achieve what it requires from you, most of the grind aspect comes from the fact that you play the game and you are expected to exceed what your capable of doing, it makes you look up tutorials and makes you want to know more about the units it offers, it even pays you back in full for your effort, whether thats access to better units or just giving you a new unit that would aid you in the game as you play Undertale Adventures does this perfectly too, problem? They lack a game master, a balancer, they lack everything that makes a game fun, you are forced to sit in the AFK chamber for units that are either too expensive, hard to obtain, or just straight up unfair to the player to achieve, it also gives a middle finger to collectors who have to suffer from the horrible drop rates and gacha chances, thats not even mentioning how unfair the levelling and pass systems are, beginners are forced to painfully carve a road in order to just BARELY get what they need to pass 1 level, only to be forced back and be unable to progress, whether thats because they are too low a level, they lack the resources, or even just lacking the required units Undertale Adventures needs people who what over these things, without a game master, the game is bound to fail at one point or another, no matter how many changes the devs make, unless the players see someone genuinly putting effort towards fixing these difficulty and RNG related problems, then the game is forever doomed to be as it is now, a loop of painful grinding with no end in sight for its players [Id KILL to help them balance their game, MANY people who know how game balance works would, all just for the sake of fun, they would make more profit from their game if they paid attention to the areas that lack what they need, no game is fun if your F2P player base complains, they usually just tank the difficulty and go on with their day, but not in Undertale Adventures, if beginners are complaining, thats already an issue, if the vets are complaining however? Thats when you know you f*cked up somewhere along the road, which in this case, would be the Snowdin Update, after Waterfall came out, thats, allegedly, when things started going to sh*t] How do i know all this? It really sucks too, i remember first getting into this game back when it essentially just came out. And it was honestly pretty fun, and it’s kinda sad to see this game become what it is now, since i had hope this would fill the spot UT Tower defense did.
It doesn't help either that the only other Undertale defense game being worked on still (autd) is done thanks to the owners getting banned, so you are either forced to play games that has stopped updating or this cashgrab
Its kinda sad that every upd is a cntrl C + cntrl V from the release build but stronger and way more expensive/grindy I tried to point about ruins dust "event" in their DC server that were just a cash grab because you could on get him on AFK chamber, and a mod(i think it was a mod since it were a long time ago) replied "we fixed it in snowdin update", but they didnt re add ruins dust again Dust events in general sucks, they doesnt even make sense at all and has a ultra rare chance Also new raid event legit uses everything from normal levels with a single acessory on them and alot more HP because "we need to make it the most hard possible to make sure they buy our 1k+ event chars!" I’ll be honest (some of you guys will not like hearing what I’m about to say which is ok) the real problem with this game isn’t even that it’s “p2w” cause say what you want to say but in my opinion the only real p2w unit in this game is snowman the dusts their super good but you can find replacements for them. NOW the real problem with this game is how dependent it is on rng and its not small rng its big rng like you’ll probably get the unit from pity and not from luck type of rng and its not something you can do in one to even get ink or blue or dream you’d have to grind the game for 6 days (for pity) if you play casually and 3 days (for pity) if you none stop grind this game and this is be excluding grinding grinding for their evos and im not even gonna talk about sansta here cause no way in hell will I be fighting him 70 or 66 times Now on a side note (you might also not like hearing this) I’m kinda happy that the new event units are not game breaking so it doesn’t feel like you’re forced to do the event for them (assuming you’ve already did the past events and got those good units) I do find it weird that all top ten units in this game are limiteds (yes I’m also counting the underpass units) To sum it up this game isn’t as p2w as people are making it out to be seeing as there’s only 1 id dare say 2 p2w units (snow man and the first ever dust when the game first came out) Ice bound is the definition of low tier mid waterfall dust and snowdin dust could’ve also been grinded out extremely easily if you were endgame (assuming you were playing the game back then) So this game is less of a p2w and more of a don’t touch grass or leave house and none stop grind to win Let me know how y’all feel about this and if you disagree let me know why

i dislike the game from the moment i saw they had the same gache system as like genshin impact, which is absurd. the 0.1 chances, your never getting a good tower unless you get up to pity, which is just from doing the same shit over and over. the game isnt..fun enough for that. maybe its just me, but unlike games like UT AU tower defense, theres nothing that really makes it fun or interesting to come back. the towers are pretty basic and not much to look at. i should not have to play this game as much as i have to as genshin, its a roblox game, the fuck are u making the drop rates so low for? the beginer arc is unforgiving. its slow, tedious, and with the low drop rates, your gonna be usiing the same boring ruins towers for possably days unless you do nothing but play this game. i didnt even get past ruins and i already lost any motivation to keep playing the game. events are pointless. why bother with these hours of playtime ass event waves when 9/10 you can just buy the thing anyway. plus, each event just throws the other one out of the meta. meaning events come so often as well, so each event char becomes a collectable more than cool to use. its much more worth to just, wait for the next event and buy the char. they are making events constantly, they need to add more base content, and by base content i mean for mid-low tier content to keep noobs wanting more. the high players aready have more than enough content, but in this game, the rich only gets richer and the poor has to work even harder to not stay fucking poor. i have yet to see a event that can be somewhat reasonable difficulty for mid tier players. i already knew this game was gonna be a flop the moment i saw drop rates for some of the only GOOD not op, but GOOD towers (toriel, flowey, so on) and the only reason its still alive because of youtubers already being at the top and easily getting said top tier stuff, and people that pay for shit or have actually nothing better to do besides this game.

However, the reason why people say thag UTTD was peak was because 1: The power scaling was resonable and not drastically affected by new content 2: both games have gamepasses yes. Neither game of which makes it needed for you to buy a gamepass to win. However in terms of pricing, UTTD is alot more reasonable. 3: The bosses actually felt like bosses which made players have a actual goal to pursue. Additionally, there was a incentive to keep playing even if your rng was bad due to the titles/discount on the unit for the title. 4: While annoying, the secrets were actually worth getting. Now you don't necessarily need every secret but people wanted them cause they have a use in some way. 5: the endless modes (true lab and new home) were good. True Lab was for getting the amalgamates (albeit the climb to get one is very annoying if you're unprepared) New Home is a endless with modifiers which spiced up the usual afk and wait to end motto. And the rewards were worth it! 6: The game knows how to make friends/random not a burden to have on a team. The souls in-game can synergize to make levels demolished and endless fun. THERE IS PROBABLY MORE IM TOO LAZY TO KEEP GOING
