I have to agree and disagree, because the season shop had many possibilities to buy things you wanted yourself it was of course super handy, but then the "challenge"is gone because you can get those 1000 season shop points every day so there is not really a "challenge" to it, so without the season shop it is much more attractive to do such a nice challenge gamemode to get tokens and banners and that is more fair and skilled i think.
But maybe they can bring back the season shop in a different style/form so that it is just a little bit different?

inferno dragon evo is cool and all, but the playerbase wants a stable way to get: evo shards, wild cards, regular cards, and books. its not like we don't want events, but we just want to be able to make decisions based on something, the reason why people liked the season shop was because you could make decisions based on the amount of crowns you had, and were actually able to save them up for somethng that would help better. The problem now is that not only are players left without any decisions but they are now completly at the mercy of the developers, now that events are the main thing, there is no reason to play tournaments or the different modes. Now clash royale has been stripped down to only its gameplay, and that's what players are upset about.

You can counter e-giant by putting it right on the out side of the aura and it will kill it before it reaches the tower without anything else
