Very nice restoration video. I discovered Wireless Girl a few months ago. I used her site for my restoration which so far has involved only the filter caps. I ran two pairs of 22 MFd axial capacitors in series with 180 K 2 watt balancing resistors on either side of the filter coil. So far so good but grid voltage is very low on the 6AG7 oscillator tube. It measures 140 volts and current is just above 1 mA key down. Oh on the rectifier tube, I’m sticking with the 5U4G. There’s no need to change it out in my opinion as long as it’s working. The 5U4G is easy to get so I depart from wireless girl here.
Great you could keep some of your Dad's old junk. Wireless girl is an asset to all of us. 👍
I think I would forget the diodes keep the rectifier tube!
This is awesome Darren! You'll love having it in the shack when done. I have done several efj and they are very well engineered! 73 de kd0ezs

Two caps on the primary side (AC in) are called killer caps. If one shorts to ground the chassis is live
Cool
