KX125s flat spot the ring on the exhaust bridge. You can drill the piston below the ring to line up with the bridge which adds some cooling and lubricating fuel. Some cylinder repairers relive the bridge a bit to slow up the wear.

I ride my loud af 250sx "full fmf pipe" around the house a lot and never get complaints and you can even hear it about a mile away

That flat spot on your ring is maybe from a edge on one of your intake ports on the cylinder. You might look at it next time it is apart to make sure it isn't sharp.
Your right man the 125s are the way to go they are so much fun and you have to push them to go fast and they make us a better rider . Don’t get me wrong I love the power or my 06 RM 250 and 18 Rmz 450 but my 90 Honda 125 is just so much fun to push and learn how to ride harder and better! Can’t wait for the next vid and to see you again bro.

the reason its like that is because when you bog it the piston sort of moves in a direction pushing harder on the cylinder because of the tension it has to go somewhere.

the powervalve hitting the piston is also probably why it makes crunchy noises at low rpm
That flat spot is just in-between the powervalves (I'm assuming). On my 03 kx125 the piston had a mark there it was pretty significantly worn flat just like that

TX RACE does a conversion for the kx 125 and 250 with 2017 plastics for the 03-08 they come with a seat tho so I'm not sure how to fit up a stock 250f seat I thin k you can and I think you can run a 250f tank aswell might just need some adjusting

your piston is most likely touching the powervalve which is why it has a flat spot on the ring

My 05 kx 125 does the same thing with the flat spot in the ring, I normally re ring mine every 10 hrs and new piston every 20 hrs

You need to break it in properly!! Run it easy for 10 minutes, let it cool down. Then do that one more time. 3rd get on it at 1/2 throttle a few times in third let cool down. Then the rings should be set. Just letting it idle a few times doesn't seat rings. You may need new rings already, as it is.
ive rebuilt my yz and then went out and put in some hard motos and I easily get 25 hours out of a piston. If youre too easy on a piston, the rings glaze and don't get set.

@@Jake-rp9cv that’s not how you glaze piston rings. You’re meant to do heat cycles and then ride the bike under load not hitting powerband, gradually increasing the throttle each ride. You’re meant to take it slow not full throttle after some heat cycles. The rings need to bed into the cylinder and match the bores wear shape, as they oval over time
@@honda8192 Ive done 5 top ends in my yz 125 in the last 6 months. I have never broken any of them in the way you described and get 25-30 hours out of them and replace because I want too, not because I need too. My cylinder also still measures out to a C size, even after 140 hours. I ride b level motocross, mostly deep sand tracks. Tbh I think breaking in a piston is the most retarded thing I have ever heard. I have never broken anything in, dirts, quads, sleds. They are race ready from the factory, and they never let me down.
Its better to have more oil in the fuel mix than not enough and don't rev the heck out of it when its cold.

get the new white batteries for the go pro they work a lot better in the cold
Get the GoPro 9 or 10. Theirs an enduro battery which helps the GoPro run in cold weather
polisport restyle plastic kits new style 2021 or the same as what you have for your 125 (tx race)
Running a tad bit lean, hurting the piston. 50:1 ratio should do the trick. Throw a 1744 race creations full system on there.

As much as those coatings for the forks cost that is piss poor quality. I think you need to get in touch with SGB and have them fix it because you have a lot of followers and as myself being one I’d never use them to coat my stuff unless they fix it.

i have a problem with my kx100 where it doesnt start and when i jumpstart it it bogs down and doesnt run right but when i change the sparkplug it runs for 10 minutes then doesnt work again i have changed the reeds maybe a new top end not sure 40 hours on this top end
I had the same problem on mine, turns out the airbox wasn’t flush with the carb, so you might want to check that.
