Yesterday I watched a young dude livestream breaking two cases. Landed only 2 Bedard Young guns. It's gambling for children... So be careful. I was gonna buy but then I saw that stores more than doubled the price of the boxes. No thanks. Besides Bedard, there's nothing else in there of any relatable value at all. Producing collectors cards gotta be the most profitable thing ever. Ya can break a hobby box for $400CAD and end up with maybe $20 bucks worth of cards. No joke or exaggeration at all. The scary part I find, is that most in the "hobbiests" showing their breaks, say things like... "It was a fun break though" as they did get their kick of dopamine, and it feels good. Yes feels good to loose money, just like gambling addicts do and say.
@@driftwoodgear7923wtf are you talking about 😂. Buddy gets more opportunities on ice than the entire rookie class. Bedard is a mediocre undersized flash in the pan. Zero d game, zero grit. He will be out of the league in 3-5 years.
The hype will die off as it did with Lindros in the 90's. Everyone will eventual have one and the value will plummet. Upper Deck is price gouging consumers ($300-$380 for a 144 card Hobby Box) while increasing the amount of product available. Not to mention the slew of variations. And guys that are doing Breaks are merely cashing in on the popularity of it. It's a massive money grab. A smart business plan that makes it insanely hard for a common collector to work on the set. What child can afford a $300 box? Or $15-$20 for a 12 card pack? Bedard is a good player, but to have his base Young Guns sell for $1,000 to $1,300 is absolutely insane, and disgusting. I run a Hobby Card Show in Lloydminster twice a year so I am very educated on what's going on here. It's wrong in so many ways but what can people do? The rich will only get richer as the poor miss out on collecting. This isn't for the fans of the hobby, this is for fans of money.
I'm thinking the same thing, gonna skip this year a hobby box is 399CAD and tins are 150CAD lol, might as well just buy the card when the season is over
I tried 2 and didn’t get him but I did get a Roman numeral emerald auto patch I in artifacts…it’s a keeper and maybe not a young guns but I think way more valuable than the 50000 young guns UD made…PSA 10 counts will be astronomical 😂
I got the gold young guns outburst Bedard. Not selling it until price is right. Kid is gonna have a special career and gonna be the one of the all time greats
its cheaper to just buy the card for 400 bucks.. instead of buy cases and boxes . going for a hunt... however with the cases and boxes... u can get a bedard rookie exclusive.. 1/10 made.. probably worth 25 grand.
The hockey card business is just like the housing market. An unsustainable bubble. Unlike housing, though, hockey cards are being overproduced to the likes of the 90s and there are probably 100,000 printed Bedard YGs.
@@caryd2360 you could also buy Yeezy Red Octobers for retail back then too doesn’t mean there was less hype for them. Price gouging only started post 2020
I collect hockey cards and yes it’s a rush but I get 2nd hand embarrassment for the “let’s go” middle aged adults 🙈
I wonder why they say people can’t afford groceries
beer, weed, and cards lol
@@markgaudreau8053😂😂😂
My LCS will be stuck with this product on the shelf just like the other hockey cards 😂.
How’s that looking like now?
Bud said you get 1 per box you get 6 depends on the type of box tho
Ya, they have no clue what they're talking about. Maybe 3 per case, if you get a good case.
6 YGs per box… Jason is a muppet.
nice still looking for mine

Sorry but Bedard is not Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid, Matthews, Mackinnon.
You're right his rookie numbers would be better than all of them if he wasn't injured
Playing with no body
Sorry not Crosby and ovechkins

@@driftwoodgear7923Both Crosby and Ovechkin had over 100 points as rookies while the next closest player on their team didn’t even hit 60 points. 😂

I heard someone was ready to pay 1.2 mil for it.
Frenzy? Hardly! 😂
Would be a frenzy if it was normally priced

😂 wasting 1k on a card that has a 150k print run 😂. That card with be 200.00 next summer 🥱
150k print run when millions upon millions of people want it is not alot.....

Why put the price on hobby boxes up 5x ??? Wow very disappointed so is my son
Only my opinion, I don't think it's gonna be worth what they're thinking it's gonna be
and he is like a rag doll out there
Mcdavid had more interest though chill lady
Wrong, you could buy the boxes for normal prices back in 15.
Not even close.
@@caryd2360 The price was higher, but not to the likes of 300% like we're seeing with 23-24 UDS2. That's pure greed and imbecile buyers.

Way over priced …. Yes he is a great player and hopefully will continue his career like he is doing now but upper deck is gauging on this card
I get he’s good but his raw cards going for mcdavid prices already and higher 😮 is plain silly.
@@phils6733as a collector I totally agree what you are saying, I could see if he was leading in goals, points, assists, I think it’s all hype up.
Celebrini & McKenna will be better then Bedard.
Maybe McKenna, but Celebrini will be a few tiers below
Hehe every year cbc eh
there's millions of them. the value will tank
