- We just finished watching Violet Evergarden, and we are in love with it.
Even though we don't know exactly what happened with Mayor Gilbert, we love the process of Violet learning about her feelings, maybe too late, maybe not. Who knows...
If you haven't watched it, you should. just be patient with it is a slow story.

Mikasa and Violet have so many similarities like:
*Their lovers give them a gift and treasure it. Gilbert give Violet a Emerald Brooch, while Eren gives a red scarf to her.
* Both Gilbert and Eren have Green eyes
* Loyal till death, even their lovers gonna die they don't want to find another man to love but Violet's lover is alive
* Expressing their love by action and protecting their lovers
* Both of them are almost got raped when they are still a child
* Meet their lovers at the young age
* Can't even say I love you to their lovers
* Their lovers lied and hurt them in order to protect them
* Both are superior in combat skills
* Skilled weapon wielders
* Superhuman strength
* They have individual favorite words . Ereh for Mikasa and Shousan for Violet
* Lost their parent at the young age
* Both of them are soldiers and Warriors
But there is a difference both of them and is that Violet ended up marrying Gilbert and live together with him while Mikasa left alone to her life after losing Eren
Violet and Mikasa have same VA in Japanese, have super human strength, Loyal to their lovers, Both are soldiers and Warriors, their lovers have Green eyes but one thing is completely different to them and it's Mikasa ended up being alone while Violet ended up with Gilbert

I don’t know why people thinks it’s just brother sis kinda love like every letter she writes for others and the feelings conveyed through those are just her feelings and situations with Gilbert. The age gab between them, her being orphan, her longing for someone she think is dead. They love each other as a man and a woman
exactly, and gilbert waiting for her until she became an adult too. he's not a toxic man, that forced his feelings to violet. they got together after violet was already 18. their age gap might be big, but still, violet was already legal to get married after that. they both were loving each other too, so why not 💀.

It's happy and sad at the same time. We know that they end up together and are happy for the rest of their lives, but it's sad knowing that we won't get anymore Violet Evergarden.

I really want a season 2 of the anime that will tie everything together and the events that lead to the second movie. I want the details of who ends up with who. What happened to the postal people when it shut down. Also the people that violet helped in ther past on her job!! those things matter
in the light novel Erika and Iris doesn't exist so I can't tell you but Cattleya has a crush in Benedict and Gilbert and Violet are together Claudia doesn't has a romantic interest
The movie brings a beautiful conclusion to the anime and maybe we should leave it at that ^ ^ . I suggest you read the light novel if you want more (well, if you haven't already, this comment is 10 months old after all xD).

There’s discourse about what kind of love they had, and divided opinions esp bc it was romantic in canon, and with age gaps and whatnot- but for me, none of that rlly matters. I just see it as two souls with a deep connection, ones that were meant to be together in any way, any time, any form of love.
