Hey about to make my preferences, is it a big deal not being in the vale?
F3rn_xx - nah not at all ,I’d recommend living in selly oak so like battery park ,metal work and liberty park Cos it’s closer to al the shops and busses and train station but the vale is just on its own

Just been offered Battery Park, from a social standpoint, is BP just as good as the vale for making friends
so there is no curtain on french window? What about tryna take a break in the middle of the day? The light could be really annoying 😨
Eugene Lee there are blind which you can roll down all the way to the bottom and it blocks the light

Hey I’m not from Birmingham but I visited the city yesterday. To be honest , the area is not very nice . It looks a little rubbish and I wouldn’t walk alone there at nights especially because I’m a girl . I was already scared when I walked from there to the uni …
L of course ur scared its a new place I live in Birmingham and there is crime bc we are in a big city but the university have very strict security that I see all the time so it’s always feels safe :)
What’s the rule with putting stuff up on your wall at unite students accommodations?? Are you allowed? X

10daii how do you normally put things up? Xx blue tack ? Pins?
Jojo Thelu nooo don’t use glue tack lol that will deffo leave a mark and I used command strips for the walls and pins for the notice board x

Have you managed to find a church in Birmingham? If so, which one do you go to?
Asia Jennings hi hun there’s so many great churches in Birmingham it just depends on what type of church you’re looking for. I kinda hopped between my African church from back home and hillsong occasionally I’d go to hope city city church with friends aswell
It’s great to hear you’ve been going to church! ☺️ I’m actually a member at First Love Church UOB. I’d just like to encourage you to try and find a church home in Birmingham, it will really help you to grow spiritually. It’s difficult to pour into a cup that is always moving and I just know God wants your cup to overflow 🥰 I’m not sure if you’ve been tuned into anything over lockdown but my church holds an online service from 1pm on a Sunday and it would be lovely to see you there 💗 (virtually lol)

10daii thanks that’s great cause I really love battery park and hope I get it but I’ve heard it’s very rare to get your first choice accommodation

Anjie xx there’s deffo a higher white population than black or Asian but don’t let that get in the way Cos there’s loads of societies where you can meet people who you have similar interests with x
