Hope you enjoy this, been really getting into other stuff lately aside from javascript, thinkering with servers, playing with go, doing a lot of math, really want to start expanding this channel out, appreciate ya 💖
Haven't watched your videos in years, but I just saw your Wix ad and thought I would drop by to say hello. It certainly got a chuckle out of me. Hope you're doing well, you seemed a bit depressed when I last time I checked in.
Great stuff, great channel. Is there a possibility for you to make a video on "all I need to know about hosting and deploying, serverless, vps, docker etx." ?
Nice video, I may need a video or any references to learn about deployment in depth such as how does it work, how to secure my website when it gets deployed to the world, how to handles updates and bugs I may encounter. If you have anything I can look up to I’d be grateful
Hi bro, Could please zoom in or increase the fonts, cause your videos contents are hard to see in laptop. Although most of the contents are centre of the screen rest of the space are pretty much distracting.
Great stuff, but if have Laravel application, after make update git branch, it will in redeploy stage rebuild app ? what about files (upload by user) in Laravel docker inside?
Hi, I'm new to this stuff and have a question about 5:10. Wouldn't it be better to ask you for a email and password in your VPS terminal? It looks like everybody could theoretically access that URL and register the account or am I wrong? Thanks for clarifying :)
Yeah coolify is cool, but the UI is horrible and it seems it just won't exit this v4 beta phase where each new version seems to break something. It also lacks basic features such as monitoring, slack notifications and easy way to set up basic auth to protect deployments. Overall Coolify has extreme potential, but I wouldn't trust it for any real project to be honest.
@@rand0mtv660 Without the special terms and conditions, I would consider trying it out. However, these special terms make it unattractive for freelancers or small developers. Or am I misunderstanding these extra terms at the end of the license? Besides that, as far as I can see, Dockploy is obviously heavily inspired by Coolify, and recreating this tool with better usability is easier this way. It doesn’t matter which one you choose in the end; both need to be secured since this task isn’t an out-of-the-box feature and must be handled on the server itself.
@@roxxel8167 But what about the additional terms on GitHub: - Self-Hosted Version Free: All features of Dokploy, including multi-node support, Docker Compose file support and Multi Server, will always be free to use in the self-hosted version. - Restriction on Resale: The multi-node support, Docker Compose file support and Multi Server features cannot be sold or offered as a service by any party other than the copyright holder without prior written consent. - Modification Distribution: Any modifications to the multi-node support, Docker Compose file support and Multi Server features must be distributed freely and cannot be sold or offered as a service.

Do a test run, rent a super cheap one for a month or two and try to break it, reset it, drop a couple of projects on it, stress test it with a tool like k6, it will be fun

Ed you're the best this is such a good tool

I miss you guy, I used to watch you all the time.
This is a godsend tool. Thanks for introducing us Ed!

Hey Ed. I’ve been using umami for a while now. Been loving it. But plausible also looks great. Would love a video comparing the two in self host mode

Kudos for this clear description. Great work with this video. Thanks for it.
Ed I'm a consistent watcher of all your videos.
Bro we have a request
Make some stuff on backend
And upload regularly
can you do a video "deploying nuxtjs on dokploy", awesome video Ed, Thanks
Cool video. That platform is lit
definitely worth a try

can we deploy php laravel projects?
yes
There is a coupon for Indonesia? Our currency is devalued. If no, it's okay.. Great course by the way!!
You promised to talk about load balancing 😢
Perfect video ever 🔥

Since you tried Coolify which one do you prefer?
Coolify are better, but this is more user friendly like vercel copy.
can you do one for Laravel.
Awesome video 🎉
How is this better than coolify?
very similar, just like how it handles multiple servers, deploys, and configuration 👍 both fantastic
In the thumbnail, is he pointing at the deployed vps in the clouds?
I prefer coolify more features
Same here, it also has a "more" open source license.

Dokploy has better ui and is not in PHP but I prefer coolify

Bro, which font is that used in your Terminal?
The Dokploy license is Apache 2.0, with extended terms which does not allow commercial use, correct?
Apache2.0 allows commercial use
I think it only restricts selling the product or parts of the product as it is

any reason to not use ampere servers? they're even cheaper...
you dont like coolify anymore?
helpful content ❤
I love this but next js features are currently unstable
Like what? Working all fine here
do you mean next 15? i haven't had any problems so far.
can you deploy svelte 5 apps?
Yes you can … ❤
Experimenting with this seems fun but also scary because of all the social conditioning telling me that I need vercel 😭

Hi bruh. I just want to say sorry. Please forgive me
but vercel works just fine right??
