You made service mgr quickly. No tech should be doing 20 services in a day imo I worked for a company one time and a tech did 26 services one day and the next He did 27 that was the day they fired Him, no one can do that many services properly in one day. 12-15 max a tech can do a really good job and He will still need to move quickly all day.

This is a good perspective I’ve worked at Trugreen and they push 40 on you everyday and are expected to do atleast 25/30

Sports? I played lacrosse/ hockey, was a firefighter, and served in the army for 8 years. Would that qualify me as a leader too?

Our service manager left and I was hesitant to step up because I hate speaking in front of multiple people. I’m exceptional at one on one.
Bottom line, with 4.5 years of experience I’ve become service manger in less than 2 years of with current company.
Pest control is an awesome industry if you can hack it.

All my problems with customers came from scheduling and billing issues

Agreed, but also ignorant customers that think we are god & can just snap our fingers & eliminate every bug on earth!
Another major complaint (especially with the company I work for) is that the door to door sales team lies agressively just to make a sale & then the company has a very poorly trained person do shit service & its always a different rookie every service because the company is shit & not many stick around once they realize that the company is just running a scam. I have been here for 2 years somehow & I just spray water because nothing we do helps the customers issue & most cancel service before the year contract is up & they charge a $400 early cancelation fee!

Just started at age of 43, a technician now. My resume is all restaurant, and customer service. Wondering if I can become a manager within less than 2 years.

Hey Mark I left because I got into management and other bigger offers came and I gradually keep going up the ladder. I got into the independent courier scene to try to make extra money which I made a decent of money. Like with anything else life happens and Due to a family issue I had to go home to the Philippines where now I am a Operations Manager/Business development manager for an American company doing operations in the Philippines.
