IMO and as I understand, basically this is what DXing is meant - To transmit (send) &/or receive (detect) long distance radio signals/broadcasts. However not many of our friends can become HAM operators due the high price of the rig and accessories needed to operate. Nevertheless, they can certainly pursue a hobby in Radio listening/DXing as affordable radios (decent radios) are quite cheap starting from say Rs.500 to 8000. Nice video regarding amateur radio. I was fascinated by Ham radio since my childhood. I have made different mw and fm transmitters based on 2 or 3 transistors in my college days. Those were only one way communication devices. Many of my friends use to listen to my radio station. Those can transmit up to half a kilometer. We have used our multi bar tv antenna for transmission. We were never professional in this regard.

Very very informative video. Had heard about HAM radio since long but didn't knew the basics which I learnt today. Sometimes we gather that someone who is lost is found and reunited with his close relations through HAM operators. Moreover, also heard that many HAM operators are said to be instrumental in arranging for some really required emergency items (like life saving drugs etc, not available or very costly here) from foreign countries through HAM operators in that country. HAM radio is s very unique hobby and requires technical expertise. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍

Maine ek baar Radio ki wire deewar ke AC socket mein se nikaal kar wire ki jagah apni ungli socket mein daal di thi. Tab main chhota hi tha. Mujhe jor ka current laga aur socket ne mera hath fenk kar mara. Maine kisi ko kuch nahin bataya aur chup chaap so gaya hahahhahah, warna main kabhi sota nahin tha din mein.

Thanks so very much. More videos are coming for sure, in fact more than one. All will be shown and all will be explained. Regarding listening Hams, any Shortwave Radio with SSB mode can do the job. For example, Xhdata D-808, on which I have shown plenty of videos.

Ham Radio se juda aapke bachpan ka vakaya sun kar maja aaya haha.
Maine ek baar Radio ki wire deewar ke AC socket mein se nikaal kar wire ki jagah apni ungli socket mein daal di thi. Tab main chhota hi tha. Mujhe jor ka current laga aur socket ne mera hath fenk kar mara.
Maine kisi ko kuch nahin bataya aur chup chaap so gaya hahahhahah, warna main kabhi sota nahin tha din mein.

Ham radio works on SSB nearest to SW band while wireless transciver operates mostly on FM and VHF bands. So, design of the transciver and antenna is different.
