Interesting that they are doing other classes for the same "character". Makes me hopeful for subclasses like Necromancer for the Thief; or Mistress for the Female Priest. But real talk: where's my dang Sword Master? I need to see her magic swordplay in this engine so badly.
Thanks for making this comment. I ended up looking at the characters you mentioned and personally hope to see the Lightbringer for the Knight class. On a side note. I don't see a Blade Master Advancement. Where do i find said class.
@@pockystyx4087 Sword Master looks cool. So did Vagabond. I'm looking forward to this game and more Classes. Will also be picking up DNF Overkill when that comes out.
I'm hoping for 16 in the launch roster. The character select area looks to be sized for 16, at least if the one in the beta is close to what the final release version will look like.
It's been a while since I've played the class, but IIRC Ghostblade is an interesting choice because on first look you'd think he's a puppet character, but in DFO he's more a combination of Set-Up and Mix-Up. Ghostblade's not!Stand has his own set up skills in DFO that can be used independently of the PC so his role will likely be like a melee version of Dragon Knight's pet and at the same time Ghostblade has a skill that places him into a "stance" state that he can chain into one of several other moves, which effectively works like a mix-up. Honestly my favorite M.Slayer subclass due to how damn aesthetic his moveset is, so really looking forward to the full trailer.
Interesting. Kinda hoping he's not heavy on the puppet stuff cause that's not really my style, but I like his design and I think a lot of his moves are going to speak to me more than most already on the roster. It sounds like the ghost might have independent moves similar to DK's pet as you said, which I can probably tolerate. I can envision simple stuff like the ghost acting as a clone you send out to launch the opponent and then you have to follow up yourself.
Probably not gonna be how he plays but if 8ing used some of Arc's ideal they could've designed him like Relius/Carl Clover from Blazblue...though DFO makes it look more like he's temporarily summoned for a few seconds with follow ups available to him if you can input them fast enough before he leaves so they could do something like that as well where he's summoned via the Magic button and can use skills via the magic button + directional inputs while the Ghostblade himself attacks via light/special attacks that don't use MP so you have both of them attacking at once.
Ahhh hearing "Pursuit of a mad scientist" BGM during the F.Mech trailer hits my nostalgia chord so hard. I remember back in like 2008 deciding on which class id pick up and watching every of these trailer with that music, in glorious 360p. Good times.
That is awesome. I think during early days of DFO, mechanic was super good in PvP for a long time. It was a pretty unique character and job class though.
if anyone have ever played Elsword, Female Gunner/Mechanic and all ger subclasses are in that game as a collab with DnF. All I gotta say is she's hella fun to play with.
He was actually the Agent class i wanted the most due to loving explosions/shotguns....didn't think he'd get in after the Hitman was announcd (at least not until dlc at best) so kinda happy they double dipped with the agent class lol. Now i just gotta hope the character i want the most, Skirmisher, also gets a double dip moment to get in as well either in the base game or as dlc...though i can see them choosing Dragoon over him as well (hope they don't go Impaler though....the throwing Javeline moveset would likely be very annoying in a fighting game)....granted Dragoon is my second favorite lancer so wouldn't mind him that much either. Besides Troubleshooter and Skirmisher though the only other characters i really want would be Swift master for M Mage but wouldn't say no to Glacial master either (either way we'd get new elemental coverage in the game with wind or ice...prerably we get both sometime down the line), Spitfire for Female Gunner 2nd class, and either Elven Knight or Lightbringer for a second Knight Class in the game (Elven Knight mainly for aesthetics and to have a plant/nature element user in the roster while Lightbringer I'd want due to using Mace and Shield rather than being another sword user). As for F Mage none of the classes really are a must have for me tbh but if i had to choose one than I'd say Witch mainly so we get a really quirky/ridiculous character to play that works kinda like Platinum the Trinity from BB.
I’m happy to know that they are adding more characters from the same classes to the character roster. I’m hoping to one day see them add Spectre, Necromancer, dark knight, the other 3 female knights, and the shadowdancer oh and maybe a Nen master or brawler. Also a mage class because we haven’t seen any character from that class
Ghostblade is straightforward, you saw how they played in the trailer too somewhat. Troubleshooter is basically the Michael Bay class. Expect tons of explosions. Female Mechanic differs from Male Mechanics. Male Mechanics is the summoner character in which he calls out robots to go after enemies. Female also has that, but its vastly inferior to male's. Their smtick instead is futuristic weaponry. They get a laser cannon that periodally shoots out orbs, 3 disc that spin in front of her and can also fire out beams as a heavier, secondary hit. She also has these tiny satellites that orbits the enemy and shoot lasers at them. Male Mechanics can summon an army to terrorize his opponents, whereas the Female Mechanic fight using technology. Might be better to see them in faction, but they might play how similarly to Kunoichi minus the teleport and opt for more oppressive projectiles.
Ghostblade looks like if a Stand User got access to a Zanpakuto, which is already friggin' cool. Female Mechanic looks to me like she'll be awfully similar to Kokonoe from Blazblue. Troubleshooter is gonna be heavy rushdown to me. I wonder if the motorbike will be one of his Specials, almost like the Wario Bike from Smash.
None of the characters have used their Neo Awakening super..all the cinematic supers have been from their 2nd Awakening so Female Mechanic is likely to summon her Volt MX mech support for her cinematic super. I don't know why they aren't using the Neo forms and Awakening supers and going with 1st Awakening form, 2nd Awakening super but that's how it's been for all the characters. Maybe the Neo stuff is something they add in later, still some time before Summer 2022 and that's still vague in when it drops as that's just the window, not a month or day.
The biggest thing to take away from this is that they are not just launching with only 16 chars with one rep per class. Now anyone can be on the table.
All the characters look dope but I think out of everyone we know is in the game now, Ghostblade interests me more than anyone. I think the Slayer classes speak to me the most, especially the katana ones because their movesets are bound to be slick as hell. I'm surprised we have no female Slayer yet, but there's no chance there ISN'T one in the launch roster - it's too popular to ignore.
Hey Koe, loved your dnf streams the game is awesome. I was just wondering, do you think that the convergence button while at full health should give you a certain amount of white health to use toward a convergence combo? Those berserker combos you were doing were sick and it would be a shame if the other characters just have to block/get hit in order to converge
It's weird the troubleshooter and the mechanic aren't in the trailer they actually uploaded to the DNF duel channel. They uploaded a slightly different trailer there where the only new character they show is ghostblade.
Mechanic is not going to be a puppet character, but rather a set up/tools character. in the game mechanic uses robots/gadgets to do certain things and then they go away. So I can see each special being a different robot/tool that you bring out as the move.
I'm just waiting for a mage class, man. As much as I'd love the Wind class or Elemental Bomber - don't think he'll make it in, at least not right away. Here's hoping they at least add the cute female mage, good chances.
