@@ZeplaHQ I would gladly and happily pay you for your help with doing this for my character. I am sorta new and very overwhelmed. Alot of your suggestions don't apply to me.
Another tip is any item that features a Shop Selling Price can be discarded and re-purchased later on, say if you want that item for an alt - just get rid of old gear and simply purchase it back later when you actually do (which can be months). Specially important when your armory starts clogging up automatically Also stuff like consumables are not really needed almost anywhere in the game so putting all the foods and potions on the hotbars is a good idea to just use them to free up that bag space. And most importantly: sell anything you don't need right now on the market, if market price is low then just vendor it.
for me, an Omnicrafter with 2retainers (with very little desire for glam): 1) Chocobosaddlebag is for recent materia (Grade V thru Grade VIII, as of this post). THIS makes it so when you do meld things, you just can remove-from-chocobag what you think youll need, so you dont have to go thru a long list of materia while doing the actual melding. --I also use chocobag for recent Totems & Raid drops & Eurekathingys-that-i-may-never-use-again-but-i-hoard-them-anyway. --I also put the lesser-important SquadronManuals in there too... I always keep the BattleXP+ one on MYPERSON 2) My two Retainers: --1st one for Ores, ingots, wood, etc... prettymuch anything that'll be used by ARM BSM CRP GSM LTH WVR --2nd retainer is mostly for ALC+CUL stuff. Also use her for any random "stuff" i might come across that doesn't fit into these sorting-catagories & I'm too lazy to goto my Apartment to place it up for the timebeing. **Also when selling things, I try to keep things i like to sell 24/7 on my 1stRetainer. Like for ex, when ShB was announced, I'd craft level50 gatherer/crafter gear and sell it on Retainer1, which allows me to check one retainer to see
I can also recommend to use the browser application 'Retain me Not' that shows which items on your retainer are double on retainers, salvagable or can be put into the armoire
Thanks for this really helpful video. My inventory situation has been horrible since SB, and until now I’ve been using what I call the “Shoot Own Foot” method: - wait for inventory to get full - get frustrated when I cannot change gear sets due to armory chest space - purge armory chest and inventory of everything not in AF gear sets, anything not in a gear set, and anything on a class I’m not currently leveling - start leveling other classes - wonder where that really cool piece of gear went that I had been saving - despair when I realize I purged it - lose Gil replacing lost gear - repeat Your recommendations will save me a lot of aggravation
tip. You can also get the ffxiv retain me not browser plugin. It'll tell you what stuff in your retainers' inventory you can stack, stuff in an armoire, etc etc. Super useful stuff.
Thank you thank you thank you! I have needed this so bad! I'm just getting back after taking a break during HW and I don't know what to do with all my stuff. This video was just what I needed, I learned so much from it. You're the best!
Good, useful information. Thank you. I'm still new to the game, so I haven't got to this level yet, but I can already see everything filling up my inventory spaces and it's good to get a head start on it, rather than wait until it gets out of hand.
Before making my mi'cote I watched you what you tail means about you video I chose fluffy tails I have a dark side love your video's! Keep up the good work
Nice guide. :) You can also auto sort your Armoury Chest, when you change jobs. You only need a macro for it. If you are in a city and are using 2 or all healer jobs, you could make the macro change the glamour for each healer job differently, if they wear the same set. This is, what i use for my WHM (the "14" means the glamour plate #14): /micon "White Mage" classjob /gearset change 16 14 /wait 2 /hudlayout 1 /isort condition armoury ilv des /isort execute armoury
Some extra tips: * You don't need to hoard materials if you're not a crafter. If you are, have a look and see if a material is worth keeping at all since some are either used exclusively by one recipe or used early on then required again for something in later levels. * You can right click an item to search all your storage to see if you already possess it. This is helpful when in a dungeon since a lot of the gear drops are unique which would normally prevent you from rolling on it.. unless it's stored somewhere else. * If you're trying to keep older gear for levelling other jobs, consider that it doesn't really take that long to level your alts. * In most cases a lot of materials are so dirt cheap people are practically throwing them away. There's really no need to hoard these.
I saw the video title and thought I need this so bad, I haven't been able to let my retainers come home or finish any quests or get any drops in content in a while because my inventory is at max capacity...but watching the video I realize it's VERY newbie-targeted and I already use all these options...they are just all full too 😂😭
SleepySera time to start a DeepCleanse. Start by tossing anything and everything you can either buy from a vendor, buy cheap from the MB, or dark easily. If it’s easily replaceable, it’s easily tossed.
I bought 2 more retainers just so I could get more organized. I list my plan below, but I'm going to try Zepla's version. It may save me from having to get a third if it works better for me. I'm level 53 Summoner, but I want to be a gatherer/crafter main. Retainers 1-3 are fisher/miner/botanist and they hold the mats that they can gather Retainer 4 is a Summoner and he holds all the mats from hunting, dyes and outdoor furniture. Saddlebags: fishing bait, materia, seeds
But with the extra slots in there, no need to restore for the sake of space nowadays. *deeply ponders, how 200 was "enough" until update and it took less then 2 days to pump it to 300/400*
Any Inn will have a room you can go to with a glamour dresser and armoire. Also, if you are a high enough rank in your Grand Company, you have access to the squadron room that has both of those as well. The advantage of the inn is that the room also has a retainer bell, so if you find yourself handling items on both your dresser and your retainer, this is the better option
yes, and if you get crafters to 70, you can repair on the go, even mid dungeon or trial, so long as you keep a stack of the highest level repair material in your main bag, which stacks to 999. its good for those long raid nights in case something busts or is close to busting mid run, which makes it so you dont need to abandon the duty to repair the gear.
@@charntsabre3463 not very long with Ishgard Restoration, you could get to 70 in a single day if you have the patience and the extra gil for certain crafting materials. I took a weaver in the early 20s all the way into the mid 50s in about an hour or two.
@@Shiirow ohhhhhh wow. That's a relief. I haven't done any crafting or gathering yet and I'm a 64 BLM so I was comparing how long it took to get to 64 to those skills lol..
Something I did was to get rid of all of my artifact gear that couldn't be put into the armoire. You can always buy that gear back from a Calamity Salvager for just 1k gil each. Really useful for cutting down on clutter if you're not making class specific glamour plates using those pieces.
I leveled up most my classes to 30-50 just so I could start cleaning up useless gear in my invins. I had some lvl 5-10 gear from RR. Felt like such a hoarder
I have 5 retainers too! :D but our sorting methods differ a bit. I do not pay for xivcompanion, so my saddlebag sorting is interface wise Saddlebag left side: materia trade-ins, savage books, extreme totems, 24 man upgrade token, hunt logs Saddlebag right side: unfinished ARR/HW relics+whatever I might have prepped for it Retainer 1: dyes, foods, various seeds and past event rewards Retainer 2: extra glamour that didn't fit in the 200 slot glamour dresser Retainer 3: almost every grade of every materia (ARR relic reasons) and special fate rewards Retainer 4: weapon glamours Retainer 5: finished relics, expensive dyes, chocobo color changers, bait and mats
My inventory management: does it sell for more than 10k on the MB? Sell it. Can it craft at my crafting level? Craft it. Is it for any of my current classes/jobs? Job it. Everything else, literally EVERYTHING ELSE, NPC vendor sell it if possible, if not, discard. Because Thal's balls, man, I'm 72 on my Main Job, been playing since April, and I'm bloody bleeding tired of the whole "You have three spaces remaining in your inventory." Yeah, well, now I have two empty blocks in my inventory, and the equivalent of two blocks across both my retainers and my choco saddle bag. I'm an inventory baws. Also, buy low, sell high. Also also, Hoary Boulder is a national effin' treasure, and I will cut anyone who disagrees.
The system I use is I have my three retainers hold gear related to what their job assignment is. My Warrior holds any excess gear I need to stash but not glamour (desynth fodder, spare jewelry, etc), leather and monster drops; my Botanist holds all my lumber, herbs, cloth and so forth; and lastly my Miner obviously holds all my ore and mined items (like water bottles). Since I'm an omni-crafter it makes it easy to know where to dump things and where to look for them when I need them. My chocobo saddle is for all my totems, old ARR beast tribe FATE stuff and all my gardening related nonsense.
Usually if a item is not high in demand and sell for less than 1000 gil in the market board, I would either discard it or sell it to a NPC vendor. One of the few things I do recommend saving up are the grades 5 and above Materias, and take advantage of the Materia Transmutation to get crafting and gathering Materias as they do sell for a moderate amount in the market board.
Retainer 1: Organic - monster and organic crafting materials. Retainer 2: Inorganic - Stones, metals, gems, etc. Glamour dresser: Anything I think looks cool that I’m not still using for stats. Armoire: Everything that will go in. Saddlebag: Level 6 or higher materia, tokens, dyes. Inventory: Food and tinctures.
One way to keep control with gatherers is to just sell what you don't need. If marketboard price is more than twice vendor price, sell there. If not, sell to Doma.
Minor caveat to "if it CAN go in the Armoire, it SHOULD" If you have any jobs under 70 that you still play, make sure *not* to store the Aetheryte Earrings in the armoire. Not only do they give you an xp bonus under level 70, but it level syncs along with your jobs taking on the stats your job needs, making it the best earring available for all combat jobs under level 70. It actually _saves_ you space as opposed to having a set of earrings for each job you play.
Many people I know that have crafters leveled still refuse to repair gear themselves. Repairing yourself is a flat +100% condition, that can bypass the 100% limit of repair NPCs, letting you repair your own gear up to a max of 199%. It also works out a lot cheaper to repair your gear yourself, as repairing all of your gear will require 12-13 dark matters (depending if you have an off-hand). At level 80, using Grade 7 dark matters, this will cost you 2,400-2,600 Gil worth of dark matters, but repairing your gear at an NPC will cost you up to about 8-9k depending how badly damaged it is, this is almost 3-4x more expensive than repairing yourself, as well as the fact that you repair beyond the 100% makes self-repairing a way cheaper option(not to mention you can repair your own gear in dungeons if needed this way)
For those who craft I say get dark matter. Can buy them or get with company seals. When repairing with it, it adds 100% condition so you can get 199% condition. Making it feel longer to next repair. Can repair in dungeons too which makes it nice.
I used the glamour dresser as storage for some stuff, but other than that, totally agree with this system. Thanks for this. :) Also, I knew about expanded inventory view, but now there's an open all, too??? Well then.
The biggest thing I want ffxiv to learn from wow is how transmog work there , once i got the piece of gear i unlock the appearance and can use it for a fee whenever without having to have the gear , so I just can vendor it. Moving from wow to ffxiv make me realise how easy we had it there
How I do it: Retainer 1: Materia, Trial Tokens (I never save raid tokens), Outdoor Furniture that couldn't fit my storeroom, Interior Fixtures, Exterior Fixtures Retainer 2: Job/role gear for stuff I'm not maining, Male gear, Race-specific gear Retainer 3: Level 1 glamour gear, Female gear, Dyes Saddlebag: Leveling Gear I'm saving for later, activated maps Glamour Dresser: Anything the Job/Race/Gender I am currently playing as can wear (minus a few things)
Oh there is no hope for my inventory, my friend. I hold onto things I stopped needing a long time ago because of sentimental reasons, although most of that could be solved by taking a few hours and just glamouring everything so I can keep the looks but clear up the space. But thank you for trying to hold an intervention!
so how do you deal with feeling like you are holding your group back? just ran my first ex trials in ff14 im a new player ish but sometimes i feel like im not doing eough for my group whos always looking at parse and damage numbers, half the time i have no idea what they are talking about.
I think stuff like that is killing the game experience & putting off new players who may not be able play as much compared to those 24/7 players. But yet want to learn the game.
Very helpful. I just need to figure out what materials and stuff I should keep vs just get rid of. And sell or market or desynth. I'm a hoarder in game because no idea. Finally went through my inventory and retainers yesterday and got rid of job materials I could just buy for next to nothing from a vendor
If you actually sell a piece of gear to Grand Company or to an NPC you can do a support ticket and a GM can restore it. BUT there are some stipulations 1) you need to do the support ticket within 1 week of losing the item (they use the logs to prove you had it lost it and are not just hiding it on a retainer or handed it off to someone and try to have a GM make you a duplicate) 2) you can only have an item restored ONCE PER ACCOUNT not per character but your actual Square Enix account as a whole. I had to use this restore my Alexandrian Fending Coat.
I play/main one job basically and need all retainers possible. 4 of em hold glamour sets and miscellaneous solo glamour items. One is all green gear, one is all blue gear. One is for random half done jobs' gear. One is for crafting crap for the one crafter class I have. One is for random things like dyes, totems, raid tokens, etc.
I actually organise all my items in the same way, i have job gear in one retainer (even though i know you can just rebuy it from the salvager) and then i have all my spare materia, food, pots, trial and raid drops in my other retainer, and any other misc items (eg. hunt logs, fate reward items etc.) I keep dyes and special potions (eg sustaining) in my chocobo saddlebag. this video reminded me that i probably need to sort it all out again since i've neglected it ;_;

Exactly the kind of video i just needed, my bags are constantly full and my retainers are a mess, thanks a bunch zepla!
I'm new to ffxiv so I don't have a lot of stuff, but this helped me learn what everything can do. Thank you!
welcome to eorzea ! ♡
Start on the right path now so you aren't like me cleaning out 8 years worth of stuff!! XD
Yea the junk compounds quickly
@@ZeplaHQ I would gladly and happily pay you for your help with doing this for my character. I am sorta new and very overwhelmed. Alot of your suggestions don't apply to me.
Another tip is any item that features a Shop Selling Price can be discarded and re-purchased later on, say if you want that item for an alt - just get rid of old gear and simply purchase it back later when you actually do (which can be months). Specially important when your armory starts clogging up automatically
Also stuff like consumables are not really needed almost anywhere in the game so putting all the foods and potions on the hotbars is a good idea to just use them to free up that bag space.
And most importantly: sell anything you don't need right now on the market, if market price is low then just vendor it.
for me, an Omnicrafter with 2retainers (with very little desire for glam):
1) Chocobosaddlebag is for recent materia (Grade V thru Grade VIII, as of this post).
I always keep the BattleXP+ one on MYPERSON
2) My two Retainers:
--1st one for Ores, ingots, wood, etc... prettymuch anything that'll be used by ARM BSM CRP GSM LTH WVR
--2nd retainer is mostly for ALC+CUL stuff.
My inventory situation has been horrible since SB, and until now I’ve been using what I call the “Shoot Own Foot” method:
- wait for inventory to get full
- get frustrated when I cannot change gear sets due to armory chest space
- purge armory chest and inventory of everything not in AF gear sets, anything not in a gear set, and anything on a class I’m not currently leveling
- start leveling other classes
- wonder where that really cool piece of gear went that I had been saving
- despair when I realize I purged it
- lose Gil replacing lost gear
- repeat
Your recommendations will save me a lot of aggravation
Words cannot express how much I need this advice
Very well done. Short, concise, valuable content, entertaining, and with a beautiful, articulate voice. The ending was great. : )
tip. You can also get the ffxiv retain me not browser plugin. It'll tell you what stuff in your retainers' inventory you can stack, stuff in an armoire, etc etc. Super useful stuff.
Holy crap this is awesome! And the ‘open all’ option for your bag😍. This is going to change my life!
You are entirely correct. I did not know that the 'Open All' inventory option existed. So Thank You for that.
Thank you thank you thank you!
I have needed this so bad! I'm just getting back after taking a break during HW and I don't know what to do with all my stuff.
This video was just what I needed, I learned so much from it.
You're the best!
I found this video very useful and containing no heavy sarcasm, satire, or insults to potatoes. Not what I was expecting from you.
Brilliant video Zepla! And thank both you and your friend for the footage. I know what I am doing when I get on tonight!
Keep up the good work
This was extremely helpful, keep up the great work. :)
I needed this. I didn't know I needed this but what you just explained will make things much easier for me.
Thanks a bunch Zepla. 👍
My inventory is a total chaos... Thanks for this! I'm gonna spend my days organizing everything since i play multiple classes/jobs! :)
Nice guide. :)
You can also auto sort your Armoury Chest, when you change jobs. You only need a macro for it.
If you are in a city and are using 2 or all healer jobs, you could make the macro change the glamour for each healer job differently, if they wear the same set.
This is, what i use for my WHM (the "14" means the glamour plate #14):
/micon "White Mage" classjob
/gearset change 16 14
/wait 2
/hudlayout 1
/isort condition armoury ilv des
/isort execute armoury
Some extra tips:
* You don't need to hoard materials if you're not a crafter.
Over a thousand hours and I just now learn about expanding inventory , wow.
What an amazing guide! Thank you!
RUclips read my mind. I was just clearing my inventory for the third time in game. You are my savior!
I saw the video title and thought I need this so bad, I haven't been able to let my retainers come home or finish any quests or get any drops in content in a while because my inventory is at max capacity...but watching the video I realize it's VERY newbie-targeted and I already use all these options...they are just all full too 😂😭
It's been 8 months and here I am again, facing the same problem *again* 😭
SleepySera time to start a DeepCleanse. Start by tossing anything and everything you can either buy from a vendor, buy cheap from the MB, or dark easily. If it’s easily replaceable, it’s easily tossed.
I bought 2 more retainers just so I could get more organized. I list my plan below, but I'm going to try Zepla's version. It may save me from having to get a third if it works better for me. I'm level 53 Summoner, but I want to be a gatherer/crafter main.
Retainers 1-3 are fisher/miner/botanist and they hold the mats that they can gather
Retainer 4 is a Summoner and he holds all the mats from hunting, dyes and outdoor furniture.
Saddlebags: fishing bait, materia, seeds
You could put out gear after applying to glamour preset without consequences for that set?! My life never be the same again.
Also didnt know this!
But with the extra slots in there, no need to restore for the sake of space nowadays. *deeply ponders, how 200 was "enough" until update and it took less then 2 days to pump it to 300/400*
Guide for newbies. «Go to the armoire». Right. So, where. What? How?
Any Inn will have a room you can go to with a glamour dresser and armoire. Also, if you are a high enough rank in your Grand Company, you have access to the squadron room that has both of those as well. The advantage of the inn is that the room also has a retainer bell, so if you find yourself handling items on both your dresser and your retainer, this is the better option
Song choice for the time lapse was perfect and gave me a giggle.
my god, the first minute of this video basically just sorted my entire problem. >_< thank you = )
WAIT....you can repair stuff you aren't wearing?? OH MY GOD
yes, and if you get crafters to 70, you can repair on the go, even mid dungeon or trial, so long as you keep a stack of the highest level repair material in your main bag, which stacks to 999. its good for those long raid nights in case something busts or is close to busting mid run, which makes it so you dont need to abandon the duty to repair the gear.
@@Shiirow How long would it take to get 70 crafting?
@@charntsabre3463 not very long with Ishgard Restoration, you could get to 70 in a single day if you have the patience and the extra gil for certain crafting materials. I took a weaver in the early 20s all the way into the mid 50s in about an hour or two.
@@Shiirow ohhhhhh wow. That's a relief. I haven't done any crafting or gathering yet and I'm a 64 BLM so I was comparing how long it took to get to 64 to those skills lol..
I needed this in my life! My retainers and inventory are a mess
Felt like such a hoarder
after so long on MMO in my life
I now knew that I have problem with inventory management.
EVERY GAME !
Thanks for the tip Zepla :)
I have 5 retainers too! :D but our sorting methods differ a bit. I do not pay for xivcompanion, so my saddlebag sorting is interface wise
Saddlebag left side: materia trade-ins, savage books, extreme totems, 24 man upgrade token, hunt logs
Saddlebag right side: unfinished ARR/HW relics+whatever I might have prepped for it
Retainer 1: dyes, foods, various seeds and past event rewards
Retainer 2: extra glamour that didn't fit in the 200 slot glamour dresser
Retainer 3: almost every grade of every materia (ARR relic reasons) and special fate rewards
Retainer 4: weapon glamours
Retainer 5: finished relics, expensive dyes, chocobo color changers, bait and mats
FF music is simply without a match. Never even heard the tracks at the end but man they don't disappoint!
Came expecting comedy, learned a thing or two. Tricked again!
Much love, thanks for this. I employ much of this when I'm not being a lazy packrat!
Thank you! Iam always swamped with stuff. Mostly cause i dont know - will i need it in the future etc 😁 This really helps!
Omg thenks for that guide
My inventory looks like a mess all the time.
I tend to hoard stuff sometimes.
"Sometimes" *doubt* :D
When I found out about the open all option...it changed my life!
Great! ill be showing a lot of new members this, super handy guide, thanks so much
My inventory management: does it sell for more than 10k on the MB? Sell it. Can it craft at my crafting level? Craft it. Is it for any of my current classes/jobs? Job it. Everything else, literally EVERYTHING ELSE, NPC vendor sell it if possible, if not, discard. Because Thal's balls, man, I'm 72 on my Main Job, been playing since April, and I'm bloody bleeding tired of the whole "You have three spaces remaining in your inventory."
Yeah, well, now I have two empty blocks in my inventory, and the equivalent of two blocks across both my retainers and my choco saddle bag.
I'm an inventory baws.
Also, buy low, sell high.
Also also, Hoary Boulder is a national effin' treasure, and I will cut anyone who disagrees.
There is something satisfying about that time-lapse.
Thanks gurl. You just made my life easier
Thank you, this actually helps a LOT!
I NEEDED this! I was literally wondering if they had a sort option or not, thank you!
What the hell I literally needed this video TODAY. Just started botany and the inventory fills up SO FAST!
One way to keep control with gatherers is to just sell what you don't need. If marketboard price is more than twice vendor price, sell there. If not, sell to Doma.
Butt pun right out the gate.
I'm glad you took the time you needed to recover from the ending to ShB.
thank you sooo much for making this. i really needed to sort out my inventory ^^
Ty! this will ease my OCD soooo much.
How to get me to watch to the end of the video... This song.
Thank you for a helpful video that I'm sure a lot of people needed, myself included.
another tip: sell item that you can buy in the stores, there's no point in saving itens for days if you can buy them
Love this! My bf suggested this to and it seriously freed up a lot of my crafting materials inventory.
I am newish to the game, I had no idea about anything xD
Thanks for the video!
This video helped for the more fact that I didnt even know you could have more than two retainers...omg
Minor caveat to "if it CAN go in the Armoire, it SHOULD"
If you have any jobs under 70 that you still play, make sure *not* to store the Aetheryte Earrings in the armoire.
At level 80, using Grade 7 dark matters, this will cost you 2,400-2,600 Gil worth of dark matters, but repairing your gear at an NPC will cost you up to about 8-9k depending how badly damaged it is, this is almost 3-4x more expensive than repairing yourself, as well as the fact that you repair beyond the 100% makes self-repairing a way cheaper option(not to mention you can repair your own gear in dungeons if needed this way)
I didn’t know I needed this but thank you!! Hahah
very helpful thank you!
Great video Saki-Chan :D
For those who craft I say get dark matter.
Can buy them or get with company seals.
When repairing with it, it adds 100% condition so you can get 199% condition.
Making it feel longer to next repair.
Can repair in dungeons too which makes it nice.
Look at this stuff,
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you say her collection's complete?
I used the glamour dresser as storage for some stuff, but other than that, totally agree with this system. Thanks for this. :)
Also, I knew about expanded inventory view, but now there's an open all, too??? Well then.
TIL about "open all" inventory settings holy cannoli this changes my life
The biggest thing I want ffxiv to learn from wow is how transmog work there , once i got the piece of gear i unlock the appearance and can use it for a fee whenever without having to have the gear , so I just can vendor it. Moving from wow to ffxiv make me realise how easy we had it there
How I do it:
Retainer 1: Materia, Trial Tokens (I never save raid tokens), Outdoor Furniture that couldn't fit my storeroom, Interior Fixtures, Exterior Fixtures
Retainer 2: Job/role gear for stuff I'm not maining, Male gear, Race-specific gear
Retainer 3: Level 1 glamour gear, Female gear, Dyes
Saddlebag: Leveling Gear I'm saving for later, activated maps
Glamour Dresser: Anything the Job/Race/Gender I am currently playing as can wear (minus a few things)
Me as trial player who don't have access to retainer *cries
Interesting to see the things you do different. May get to try a few soon though I don’t have 5 retainers yet...
if you put stuff into armoire can you take it out of there? n then later use as glam?
You can take it out but your glam dresser has an option to use the things from the armoire for the glam plates
The music choice literally couldnt be any better!
The transfer duplicates option in the companion app is a god send
Oh there is no hope for my inventory, my friend. I hold onto things I stopped needing a long time ago because of sentimental reasons, although most of that could be solved by taking a few hours and just glamouring everything so I can keep the looks but clear up the space. But thank you for trying to hold an intervention!
That's why I say don't panic go watch zeplas guide to disaster inventory tell everyone!
Didn't know about the icon in the top right =O thanks Zepla Bun
so how do you deal with feeling like you are holding your group back? just ran my first ex trials in ff14 im a new player ish but sometimes i feel like im not doing eough for my group whos always looking at parse and damage numbers, half the time i have no idea what they are talking about.
A parse is just a way to read your dps and overall performance,
I think stuff like that is killing the game experience & putting off new players who may not be able play as much compared to those 24/7 players. But yet want to learn the game.
Ahm araeng is my favorite map music. Those beats are sooooo chilll...
Very helpful. I just need to figure out what materials and stuff I should keep vs just get rid of. And sell or market or desynth. I'm a hoarder in game because no idea. Finally went through my inventory and retainers yesterday and got rid of job materials I could just buy for next to nothing from a vendor
Great tutorial. My inventory was a mess
I was expecting something like an anti-guide, didn't expect a legit one :P
Holy fucken shit. As a new player (3weeks in) Thanks for the info helped me lots! :D
I actually organise all my items in the same way, i have job gear in one retainer (even though i know you can just rebuy it from the salvager) and then i have all my spare materia, food, pots, trial and raid drops in my other retainer, and any other misc items (eg. hunt logs, fate reward items etc.) I keep dyes and special potions (eg sustaining) in my chocobo saddlebag.
this video reminded me that i probably need to sort it all out again since i've neglected it ;_;
Thank you Zepla
this brings joy
