Jason Bateman talking about how he was last on the show 15 years ago: My mind: Oh, so 1998? Jason Bateman: This was 2005. Sir, I did not come here to be insulted like this.
Every time I see Jason Bateman, I have to wonder if he feels, as an ex-child actor, an enormous sense of relief in coming through that experience relatively untouched by fame and popularity.
TBH, 50 in 2020 isn't as bad as say being 50 in 1980 or even earlier. I don't know what is, but some people (not just celebrities) don't age as bad as others.
Jason is the type of man that at the end of the day you want to be with. After all adventures and explorations throughout the day, he’s like the final choice, a moment of peace, a man of family.
I was just talking about this movie the last two days again. Hardly anyone I know has seen it and it's FANTASTIC! Star studded cast, phenomenal performances, great story. I think it's criminally underrated.
He's that guy we all know in our respective circles who we love cause he's charming and attractive and funny and confident and it's awesome to be his friend...but we secretly hate out of jealousy and insecurity. :{
He was a great favorite of my dad’s when Newhart was doing the comedy circuit. I grew up on the routines: The Grace L. Ferguson Airline and Storm Door Company, An Infinite Number of Monkeys, The Complainer in the Revolutionary Army etc. If you get the chance find his comedy albums. His two TV series were just the icing on the cake!
@Andrew Rothman I think it’s the deadpan and the normalacy that led to your comparison, although Bateman is missing attributes like Newhart’s halting voice, etc. I agree with calling him great, Newhart had phenomenal timing and delivery. Y’know, his character died on the Big Bang Theory, maybe this caused the confusion...🤣
I really just want to appreciate how young everyone looks in that clip. Seth Meyers, Maya Rudolph, they all look so young. And then there’s Jason Bateman and Kenan Thompson who look exactly the same.
I am the same age as Jason Bateman (i think!). I remember seeing him on "Silver Spoons". Even then, he had something special. He and his sister are so talented! Great show
The only controversy I can think of was when he got "cancelled" by social media a couple years ago for defending Jeffrey Tambor. There was quite a bit of drama that erupted from that, but he did come around to it and apologized. Personally, I think Bateman's the type of guy who means well. Unfortunately, he put his foot in his mouth and didn't realize how he came across. But it's all water under the bridge now -- at least I hope it is.
"Look, we're very RICHA! EVERYBODY RIIICH!", I absolutely love this man. Class act, family man and one of my favorite actors of all time. 🙌🏾 Quote from #TheChangeUp
His deadpan sense of humour is criminally underrated and he never ages. Jason Bateman is truly a treasure.
I agree. I think he is a great actor and have great comedic timing
Right?! Freaking national treasure
It all started as him playing Derek the Rickers best friend Silver Spoons forever! Big smiles
@Mike Moore they're not canceling. the show is ending. big difference
@Mike Moore I did. And found nothing. Your turn
My love for Jason Bateman burns hotter than a malfunctioning Corn Baller.
💀💀💀
F yeah- that Corn Baller contraption was horrifying
THANK YOU
😂🤣
What us a "Corn baller"?
His delivery is really good, reminded me of Arrested Development.
Okay I'm sick of being in love with Jason bateman.
I'm not 😍😍😍🤤🤤🤤
I’ll take over for you 😏
Me tooooo
I'm sick of his sister, Justine Batemen, and her rock-n'-roll husband.

Jason Bateman: This was 2005.

What happened in 1998?
Shoutout to the SNL employee(s) who got this up so quickly and didn’t have us wait until 2 AM ❤️
Props to them yes
Yes thanks to them, we can watch on our phones at the same time others are watching on TV

the cold open was funny.
They are so amazing!! I am very grateful for the quick postings!
Rachel Dratch looked pretty damn terrified lol
Yes! Maybe we were the only ones that noticed.
Uncle Jimbo, don't.
I was calling her "Debbie" but, yeah.
the chimps hand jesture: i want to take his face...off
@@GARY84ROCKS "It's official...I can't have children!"
He's like Paul Rudd, not really aging at all.
Actors who are genuinely good people never do
He's got a lot of wrinkles which is cute, it's just baby face type of face that makes him look younger
Every time I see Jason Bateman, I have to wonder if he feels, as an ex-child actor, an enormous sense of relief in coming through that experience relatively untouched by fame and popularity.
And executives...
Especially in light of what his “Silver Spoons” co-star, Rick Schroeder, has been up to lately.
@@QueenOfTheNorth65 There's a reason why one is still relevant today and the other isn't.
He’s just so damn charming
I know. That's why only he could get away with that joke of the chimp being put down. and also, that it was HIS decision! :D
Right???
This guy does not age..
First thing I thought when he showed up on stage.
He does. Go watch Teen Wolf Too
@Esteban A LOL

He is AMAZING in Ozark
@@Chayse9134 did you mean Horrible Bosses?
@@b-meaker99 Bad Words was great! And yes, Horrible Bosses was really funny!
Low key I’m obsessed with Jason Bateman. He’s my favorite actor. Can do funny and serious. So well rounded 👌🏼
Aww, that's not fair, Jason. Clearly Rachel Dratch cared. She had absolutely no qualms about showing how terrified she was.
Billy Everyteen so was Darrell Hammond, but with a 'Holy Crap' stunned look on his face.
Think he exaggerated the lack of reaction for joke
Awww I just watched Zootopia again this evening, Jason’s comic timing is just so good! 😁
Omg same!!
One of my favorite animated movies, mostly due to Jason! Hope they make a sequel!!! 🤗
@@bellaventimiglia35 they are gonna make a sequel just like frozen 2

At least Jason Bateman wasn’t attacked by a Loose Seal.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 NEVER GETS OLD!
OH MY GOD
"I understood that refrence"
A Lu Seal.
A loose seal with a suitcase full of ballots hidden under a table?
Jason is the type of man that at the end of the day you want to be with. After all adventures and explorations throughout the day, he’s like the final choice, a moment of peace, a man of family.
So in other words…a daddy
Actually, the chimp was blessing Bateman with the gift of not aging.
@critical eyes I agree. The older he gets, the sexier he looks
Was gonna say, are we not going to talk about the fact that Jason Bateman has not aged in 15 fucking years?
I know! One of the reasons I love him is that he apparently doesn't age lmao
For real. Him and Rob Lowe ..... damn.
@@denisemarie7991 Oh yes! Watching West Wing right now to get me a dose of Rob Lowe!
Isn’t funny how Kenan is the only one remaining from when last time Jason Bateman hosted?!
I thought he was leaving ? (I hope he never does of course )
Darrell Hammond is still there.
But I think he's just apart of the upholstery now.
What about seth myers
Well, Colin was there, just not in the cast.
That’s not funny, most cast members move on to big movie and prime time television careers. Not Keenan 😂
Jason after going in to say good job to the chimpanzee: I’ve made a huge mistake
Narrator: "oh my"
Hahaaa...
Ugh. Every time I see him, I'm reminded how much of a crush I have on him. 😩
Rachel Dratch was the only one who saw it. Her reaction is great.
"Things were loose"
Yeah, but were they loose seal?
Funny! You deserve a... HAND!
Hats off to the writers of #snl for such a great smooth, historical, funny ass monologue. Great connection for bringing Jason Bateman back.
Jason Bateman is still my favorite part of Smokin' Aces. Totally underrated. And still cute as a button.

LOVE me some Jason Bateman. The ultimate guy next door.
There’s something about his delivery that reminds me of the great Bob Newhart. (Edit: He’s alive! Yay!)
Bob Newhart has not passed. He’s 91 years old and still making us laugh.😊
Ha! Bob Newhart is still alive, son! You and 16 other people are delusional.
I agree, understated, no zany over the top delivery..Nothing too provocative. Good comparison Sir😎
