It's sci-fi. An alien raising superpowered kids allows for explanation of his lack of parenting skills, the flashing lights he released in season 1 with rockets going off, his knowing they existed in the first place to try and gather them, and his understanding that they would be needed to save the world. The writers know what they are doing.
19:25 In episode 2, five was talking to Diego about how when he got stuck in the season 1 apocalypse, he heard his father’s voice saying “I told you so”. Diego tried to cheer him up by saying that he can’t tell them that since he doesn’t know them yet and five says that he’s sure he’ll find a way. That was his way.
Actually I’m pretty sure the reason its says “I told you so” is just because Reginald lectured Diego about how he has a hero complex in S2e6. Basically just a petty way of proving that Diego is always trying to be the hero.
There was an episode in Season 1 that showed Reginald on an "Alien" planet releasing the "sparkles" from a jar as his wife was dying. He showed up on Earth and bought an umbrella factory in the distant past. He has been an "Alien" all along. The "sparkles" are the same ones that Vanya gave to Harland. This all ties together. It's important to pay attention to every detail. There are dozens of clues (and s.......s) being "hidden" in plain sight. This series is a lot of things. Funny, Dramatic, Suspenseful, and brilliantly written. What might seem confusing and out of place, usually has an important meaning later in the series. Can't wait for your reaction to this seasons conclusion.
I feel like Liz and I are very good at catching on to things but to me the fact that he was an alien wasn't that obvious. People need to remember we are reacting to a show we have never seen before and haven't seen all the way through obviously. Then you have people who have seen the entire series possibly more than once so they notice every detail and then think it's crazy we miss something. But now having finished the series I do see the clues but couldn't piece them together at first. I do appreciate you for watching and taking the time to comment!! We have had a lot of fun watching it and talking to you guys about the show!
@@kittyxrae4860 There are some people that can watch something a 100 times and not pick up the details. Then there are some that can see it once and remember EVERY detail. I was not accusing either of you of being "dense". I was just saying that the "details" were there all along. I completely enjoyed your reactions to both seasons. I think you both were way above average in understanding and predicting what was going to come next. But there were things you both missed. I meant no harm in that observation.
Reginald is an alien which explains their conversation about how he was giving them advanced technology. also in the last episode of season 1 where his wife died, Reginald opened a jar that released like an orange substance in the air. You could even see that the sky was pinkish and rockets in the air which is his planet.
Yes that's exactly right. I don't care for aliens or space type shows. I'm fine if it's a small part of the show but if that is the main focus I won't like it. I feel like super powers, time travel, and aliens are all very different things. -Kitty
We don't read the comics and I'm glad we don't read them otherwise we would have been spoiled to certain things. I will maybe read the comics when the show is concluded.
@@kittyxrae4860 I don’t either but saw afterwards. I love watching the reactions though. I don’t have many people who want to discuss the show. So having reactions help me feel connected to other fans. :)
They also kinda hinted during season 1 that the dad came to earth from somewhere else. Think the umbrella shop he set up was around the beginning of 20th century. Might have been actually earlier than that. Then again Superman is an alien in a sense since he is from another planet. Most of the guardians of galaxy are also aliens.
exactly, i think for some reason everyone forgets they already showed that he was an alien, on an alien planet. But for some reason with this scene everyone goes "hes an alien !".. uh yea, they already showed you that
The show is based on a comic (by Gerard Way who is the lead-singer from My Chemical Romance) so in season 3 things will happen which were in the comics. I have not read the comics but if in the comics were more aliens we will also see it in the TV show. We can not avoid it.
Can you guys react to black lighting all the seasons its a greatttttt show its on Netflix and can't wait till season 3 comes out so you guys can react to this "BTW you guys are my favorite reactors keep reacting" and keep black lighting in mind
Sorry you feel that way. We always give our honest reactions and thoughts on what we see so if someone doesn't like it there is really nothing we can do. - Kitty
I always loved how genuine Diego was when he thanked Klaus after he said he looked like Antonio Banderas
🤣🤣 that really is a great compliment!

@@dbuttray true but the point is he found a way without having a huge idea of who they were, besides meating them at the light supper
In episode 2.02 when AJ was demoting The Handler, he said "And lets not bring up the 743 incident".

HOW COULD YOU SKIP THE “I’M THE DADDY HERE!” LINE????
So you're fine with super powers, time travel, sentient fish and a talking chimp but aliens are where you draw the line?

@@LibrasReact So is your problem is that aliens are too far fetched for you?
Not that they are far fetched it's just not a topic I'm interested in.
Look back at the opening of S1 Ep 1 , as Reginald is collecting babies , the craft he flies into Russia is "unique".
The dad is an alien in the comics though. So you know the show is going to get a little bit more Sci-fi than it is.

0.57 and .57 are the same number

Edit: I heard him wrong. He said 5.7.
Oh well, it was funny for me while it lasted. 🤷🏾♀️ 😂
he said 5.7 not .57

question, have you guys read the comics that are out so far?
No we haven't as of yet
