Hey guys! I'm seriously considering trading my 2018 V4 Speciale for the new 2021 V4 SP. That matte black color is pretty magical. What would you guys do in my shoes? Let me know in the comments below and remember to ride safe!!
Hope everything is good with you health wise because you had to "trade it in"! I would cry if my Panigale ate the ground! Hopefully you can acquire an SP. Good luck my Friend!
while i absolutely love the colour, I have a Speciale too and i dont think it's enough of an upgrade to warrant a change. Slap on some BST CF wheels and a CF clutch cover on the speciale and its a superior bike due to the akra already coming on the speciale. Plus it's limited to 1,500 examples. How much is the SP going to be limited to? 5,000? 10,000? Maybe wait for a new 2022 V4 :)
Great to hear from a fellow Speciale owner! Thanks for commenting Andrew. So I agree with you overall. The biggest point being the Akra exhaust. Considering I would have to sell my current one with the Speciale, it would really add to the total cost. Also, a great point on how many Ducati is going to build? On another note, I wonder how many V4R are out there on the streets? Take care and ride safe brother!
So tempting! If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't even hesitate. I miss my 1299s, but trading it for the V4 was of the best decisions I've ever made for riding. Cheers!
Whats your priority? Saving a buck or riding what you want? But keep in mind the service is expensive, the frequency is fine every 7k or 12 mo. Thats fine. But tires...oh youll burn through OEM Supercorsas every 2800-4k costing 600 bucks a set, insurance is LORD help me expensive. Im 40 w/ no tickets and its insane. Double what my RSV4 RF was and CBR1000. So keep that in mind but all that does not tap me out but it might for other ppl. Life is to short to ride boring bikes, if you have the means i say do it but im not you so. Good luck! Oh i should say... LOL are you prepared to run from police? Because if your not you need to have the willpower to keep w/in the law. If not you need to have the skill to out run the law because this bike attracts cops like you would not believe. I find my self running 80% of the time i go out. DPS, Police, Sherifs... MALL COPS! So be prepared to make a choice on that unless you are already one over the other.
@@aurorajones8481 Ive got an 18 cbr1000rr so I'm familiar with liter bike power. Main concerns for me is i do a lot of highway riding so I want a bike with cruise control so I was considering the s1000rr or an rsv4 but the v4 just looks a million times better so idk haha
I'd say keep the speciale as it is a unique bike but get the SP I know I am 100% best of luck on the decision making but regardless SP is the way to go ESPECIALLY for the price.....LOL
If I could keep both, you know I would, lol! Still making my final decision, but leaning towards keeping the Speciale since it's a limited edition "first year" V4. Cheers!
Yes, it will be street legal. Ducati doesn't like putting plate holders on their show bikes when they unveil them (and the pictures). The V4 SP has front and rear lights, turn signals, the whole 9 yards. First thing everyone does is rip off the ugly plate holder anyway and replace it with something like I have from @FUTURISMOTO. Cheers and thanks for asking!

@@TheDucatiPilot definitely.. I've always liked to be different so never liked the ducati red.. I'd keep your can and any extras and swap them over.. I have 4 kids so I have no chance unless I win the lottery.. 😳 I think I could just scrap the 2020 v4 cash together.. but not sure if it would be worth it on the road without the dynamic suspension.. is it dynamic or just adjustable!!!
@@smokey9063 I believe the suspension is electronic. I realized after I finished the video that I accidentally added the wrong dash view (of the new supersport). I hope you can own one in the future my friend!
@@TheDucatiPilot it will come... I domt have the time to be honest with little ones.. @@smokey9063 I'm tempted to wait too. It seems Ducati's plan is to release a limited edition type of bike every 2 years or so. Maybe I would do better holding on to the Speciale and waiting until 2022? I am also interested in the V2 Streetfighter rumors. That would definitely be a fun and still quite nimble bike to blast around town in. Cheers!
Im sorry but why would you not wanna straight up TERRORIZE the public w/ this? LOL im a total ass on the 20 V4S this would just be the SEX! Oh yea the track too...yes yes. But i prefer the moving obstacles over the track, the thrill of running from the law and making those moves that make you kiss the bike and your ability for pulling off the most amazing thing the public has seen. Ya know...stuff like that.
Don’t sell the Speciale. The Speciale was the best V4 it looks amazing and please remain the presentation of the bike. You have all you need it comes with the bike from the factory

Haha! My man! Thanks!!
If you plan on doing more track days and giving us more videos, then absolutely do it.
Next track day is scheduled for January 18-19th, 2021. And yes I do owe you guys more vids! Working on that ASAP! Appreciate the comment Geoffrey!
I would bro!
I definitely considering it! 🙌
I have 'traded in' my '14 1199s to my insurance company... I'm considering V4 SP next year. See how it goes.

oooh its definitely, must own superbike, but can you handle the price?
I can handle the price if I sell my V4 Speciale 🤷🏻♂️😂
@@TheDucatiPilot well go for it bro, is the akrapovic comes with the package?
Unfortunately not. I’d have to but another one.
Oh yea... spread it around alot of cards... LOL

Sell the speciale buy this , i preordered mine today
Nice man! Congrats!

2,740,000 Rupees! 👀
Matte black looks cool but collects dust an dirt real bad. I like the all red bikes or maybe the all red 916 with the white tail section 🤔😁🤓👍🏻
Good point, didn’t even think about that. I have a matte black helmet and it’s horrible for collecting dust. Merry Christmas man!

200+ mph. Ducati won't actually "say" what the top speed is for legal reasons.
