Thanks Josh, Im not sure but I think this was all happening a little before you got the marble bug. Otherwise you would have been there. Looking forward- you never know when a site will become dig friendly but anything’s possible ….and your’e local!
I love Cairo mibs.. I've got close to 100 that I'm aware of , I've got 30 lbs or so I need to sort thru when I get time . I just keep buying but never make time to organize.... I guess I'll do that when I'm older . Thank you for sharing your knowledge it's greatly appreciated. Later man
Loved the opportunity to visit the town over 20 years ago and see marble sites with Ron Shepherd and my marble friend, Ron Shaw...both deceased now. We had a morning of fun with Ron Shepherd digging a few Cairo Agate marble examples and glass cullet. Had a few pieces of large glass cullet made into large shooter marbles and kept a purple marbles melted cluster.
Thanks Richard , that’s a good idea and something Rich Stremme suggested we try. Hopefully we can get to filming it this summer at the Pocono Underground.
Hi Jeff. Ok cool ✅ Yes I will be there, I don’t think RUclips removed your comment. I can see it here. Or maybe you posted something specific that they didn’t like. Who knows? I uploaded an earlier version of this video a few hours ago and had to delete it because of audio issues. But I think that is a separate issue. Looking forward to seeing you in Minneapolis!
Greeting from New Zealand; I am a Chinese art school student and have only been collecting marbles seriously for a week now, after a long period of some repressed thoughts when I was a kid in the early 2010s: Living in Malaysia only cats' eye marbles and "clearies" exist, whereas on the internet there exists all kinds of opaque pastel swirls everywhere with family refusing to buy them! Didn't occur to me to have the power to get some myself until now so I impulsively spent nearly half a grand USD on nothing but vintages... Let's hope I can earn that amount back after satisfying childhood urges, haha.
Like I said in the video “Please take heed: the lot is now privately owned, there is no trespassing permitted and that no trespassing clause is strictly enforced “ have you ever been escorted off a property while looking down the barrel of a shotgun? It’s happened here, and could happen to you here .
Digging a marble factory site would be my dream come true. Excellent presentation and thanks for the video Stephen.
Thank you Realtime I appreciate it !
Awesome video! It both gives me great pleasure to watch and sadness that I wasn’t there !! Love it Stephen !!

Awesome old school story Don ! I brought home a bunch of larger chunks that I didn’t film, I hope to get them ground down as well some day.

I loved the video, you do a great job. Would love to see a video on vintage packaging, and fake vintage packaging.
Thanks Richard , that’s a good idea and something Rich Stremme suggested we try. Hopefully we can get to filming it this summer at the Pocono Underground.
Hey boys! Thanks for an awesome show!
Thanks Jeff! Are you going to the Midwest marble show in Minneapolis in September?
@@stephenbahrmarblesMy post was removed by RUclips twice. They don't want me to promote the show you were asking about... . Sorry.
I plan to, Stephen! Are you coming?

Awesome stuff Eden ! 🔴 Be careful, the hobby can get expensive!! Have fun
Love this video 😊
Thanks Cindy! Happy 4th of July !
It was available to dig for a long time. All good things come to an end.
💯
@@stephenbahrmarbles does this mean they built over the site? Or does the new land owner keep everyone out?

I’m only 5 hours away from there. I’m buying breakfast and dinner for anyone who wants to show me a place to dig 😅
I’ll pay for gas !
