I've Played in Bars and Clubs for 30 years,I attempted to sing with bad cold one night ,stepped up to the mic,same thing happen to me ,nothing came out good,Can happen to any one,hats off to Ronnie for trying,bottom line hes one of the best country singers of all time.

One of my favorite songs by Dan Seals. Ronnie Dunn has a remarkable voice and is one of the best. I am sure he was dealing with something and also singing it a half step over the original. Would love to hear it again when he's on... I am sure it would be beautiful. God Bless

You have to be at your best to sing this. Tough song. Great song. Ronnie is a champ, and champions have bad nights. Give him a couple days practicing and he probably nails it if healthy.

Ronnie Dunn is one of the very best. This was an unfortunate night to say the least, and certainly not representative of his talent and abilities. I don't get why ASCAP keeps this video up. That's disrespectful of a great artist.

I get people say he was not feeling well.
If you aren’t up to it, pick some easier songs. This certainly isn’t a forgiving one. The backup singers .... they were some heroes. They couldn’t have known what lyrics Ronnie was going to sing especially toward the end.

It isn't about "picking a different song". This was obviously a professional concert of some kind and the song had probably already been locked in before, so if he got sick between the time he picked it and the performance, he couldn't just swap songs with someone else or cancel altogether because it's already a scheduled thing in the computer and everything. There are a lot of moving parts to a show like this that are not easy to rearrange.

He is having trouble hearing himself you can tell by the way he is adjusting his earpieces. When they are singing there are two things going on. There is what you hear and what they hear. If they cant hear themselves its hard to sing.
Neil Martin ya no I love Ronnie but this is not because he can’t hear himself. It’s a embarrassed reaction to not being able to hit the notes
He was touching the earpiece before the high notes, even in the into his voice was a little squeaky...prolly a little under the weather. But he messed up the lyrics to so a combination of things lead to a bad nigjt

Shouldn't have chosen it. Dan Seals turned a good song into hymn! In defense of Dunn, however, it's clear he was tired and his voice wasn't up to its usual standards.
