China unlike India doesn’t have a standing army and vast majority of Chinese soldiers are conscripts. Indian army is professional, tried and tested, modern and has the worlds best mountain warfare capabilities.

Very interesting analysis. 1) Our Army has moved from being a Reactive to a Proactive force in recent years 2) The Chinese miscalculated / did not comprehend the psyche of the India soldier of today or of the "resolve" of the present Govt. They were still harping on the '62 victory (1962-The War that Wasn't - as rightly written by Shiv Kunal Verma) 3) General "Himalaya" gave the Chinese a bloody nose ... just like the Russian winter did to Napoleon & Hitler. Fighting in the mountains is another ball game. Rotation of high altitude Indian troops to acclimatize a huge number of our soldiers 4) I did not understand the part about them miscalculating the "Return of Trump" not happening ? 5) .... and other snippets. 1) Our Army has moved from being a Reactive to a Proactive force in recent years
2) The Chinese miscalculated / did not comprehend the psyche of the India soldier of today or of the "resolve" of the present Govt. They were still harping on the '62 victory (1962-The War that Wasn't - as rightly written by Shiv Kunal Verma)
3) General "Himalaya" gave the Chinese a bloody nose ... just like the Russian winter did to Napoleon & Hitler. Fighting in the mountains is another ball game. Rotation of high altitude Indian troops to acclimatize a huge number of our soldiers
4) I did not understand the part about them miscalculating the "Return of Trump" not happening ?
