Fun Fact: This fine beverage takes on an entirely different flavor after about 1/2 of the can. You also get to taste it again about 5 minutes after you finish it.
We once played 10 cup four loko pong in lieu of beer pong, with everclear "landmines". I passed out on the side of the persons house, in a pile of shitty rags next to the air conditioner that they had previously used to clean up their dogs diarrhea from inside its kennel and the wall behind said kennel. 4/10, ok night.
Don’t forget: if you drink enough of it, you can also taste it the next day too, and possibly even a second time round as it comes back up again. If you go that route though, sweeter is always better

Pre-2011 Four Loko was OTHERWORDLY - I knew grown men who'd been alcoholics for 40 years that were falling down after 2 of them. My roomate would double fist them and blackout for 36 hours. When they announced they were nerfing them I went out and bought a case (12) and drank them slowly over the next 6 months so I could reminisce all those blacked out memories I couldn't remember.
I was there when they first released Lokos. The original recipe made me the man I am today. And man was it the cheapest way to have five really fun hours then hug the toilet all night!

True story: I was young and these things were just released before they toned them down. Myself along with three of my friends all decided to go out to the city fair this night and decided to each have 3 four locos (without really knowing what they would do to us). We started in a jacuzzi with alot more friends and ended up drinking all 3. We got separated, I could no longer operate my phone. Asked a cop for help. Was told to fuck off. My friend almost got arrested for reasons unknown to this day. Another one was lost and crying and found by me. Night was a fucking disaster. Never tried them since.

Literally just buy a regular four loko and a pack of caffeine tablets. Crush up about 250mg of caffeine (standard for energy drinks) and dump it in, mix well, and you're ready to wake up in a holding cell with two fingers missing and a frankly impressive penis tattooed on the back of your calf!

This guy is hilarious, and I don't know if he does his own video editing or not, but it's perfect. The cut where you get just like 1/8th of a second of him pulling a face after making a semi-earnest comment is just on point. It's like a meta-commentary of the desperation of losing your job, descent into lower-social-class alcoholism, coping, and the barely-contained insanity of maintaining the façade of a lifestyle that's quickly eroding, but it's all done without any irony, winking, or whining. I love it. Thanks for making these.
I drank close to 3 of these sometime in 2009 (when there was caffeine in em) and - allegedly - trashed a neighborhood pool, pooped in the living room of an unfinished house, climbed a telephone pole, and woke up fully clothed with sand all in my hair and a broken pinky toe. That’s not like me at all, and I’m amazed that I didn’t get arrested, or worse. Haven’t touched it since!

There's no caffeine in four loko anymore, FDA basically forced everyone to remove it in the 90s in response to when kids started getting hospitalized after drinking too much, since caffeine helps "mask" the effects of alcohol. They also saw it as being enticing to those under 21, as it would "resemble" or "imply" an energy drink

Four loco is for when you’re at the grocery store and you don’t wanna drive to the liquor store and you just wanna get lit.
People like you have it lucky. I live in an area of Maryland where liquor, even low-content stuff like beer, is almost exclusively sold in liquor stores. Some gas stations can sell beer and some novelties (like Mike’s or Twisted Tea) but they’re few and far between. I know a gas station that has a Subway inside it that also sells beer. I kinda want to try Four Loko though, but I’m new to alcohol so I might hold off on it for a bit.
@@NeverMindMan 4 Loko is just gross but I'm in Jersey and all of all alcohol 99 percent is sold in liquor stores none in gas stations. Pennsylvania has really weird liquor laws to where I'm glad I'm from Jersey (beer stores privately owned and government wine and liquor stores).
I had one of these on New Year's Eve a few years back and after the countdown (and as the bar was closing down) I gave some dude at the bar my prize NYE hat and stumbled back to my hotel room where I was sharing a room with 2 of my friends. They were married and went back a little early so they could have sex before I got there. I passed out just outside of the room and when my buddy went to go look for me he found me slumped beside the door with the room key still in my hand. He brought me in and put me in my bed. I got up at some point and really had to piss so I made my way to the bathroom (still extremely intoxicated) and while I was pissing the endless piss I thought to myself, why the hell am I still dressed?? (I sleep naked) I then proceeded to get into my birthday suit and walk out completely naked, marched right across the room (in full view of my very conscious and somewhat conservative friends) and passed out on my bed face up. No covers, no clothes, no shame...Four Loco.
Starbucks, Red Bull, the talk of "[coffee] beans" - It seems like you're making reference to there being caffeine content in Four Loko, but that's actually no longer the case. Four Loko used to have caffeine and other energy drink chemicals originally, and it was marketed as being the combination between an energy drink and a malt liquor. But the FDA cracked down on the market and made the company change the recipe. The concern was that encouraging people to drink caffeine and alcohol together is inherently dangerous (more than consuming either chemical alone), which is probably true. It was really well marketed at young drinkers - still is - and even though it no longer contains the ingredients that made it so infamous in the headlines, it has stayed popular as a dumb ass drink. That said, I knew dudes who would drink that stuff along with some pre-workout (caffeine powder) to recreate the old effect.
But yeah, it doesn't have stimulants anymore. It's just a gross-ass malt liquor with hella sugar.
I’m slightly disappointed that he never stated why four loko was considered crazy and was banned back before they changed it. For those who didn’t know, it was sold as an alcoholic beverage and an energy drink in one. It was absolutely insane, and got banned in almost all US states. They ended up taking out a few of the energy drink components and stopped marketing it as an energy drink before reintroducing it, which is why he’s able to drink it today.
Nothing like drinking all the beer in the apartment and walking to the gas station to buy four Loko to keep the party going. Good times circa 2009.

Last time I did my friend had a couple that he gave to me as a pregame gift for a gig I got to headline. Due to the cold and dryness of the air I'd just got done having a bloody nose of MONSTER proportions. I slammed both on the way there. Since I'd lost a good bit of blood my B.A.C. was very high. Didnt get a chance to be buzzed even. I puked everywhere and couldn't stand, ended up missing my first headliner venue...never again.

I use to mix the lemonade four Loco with bottom shelf tequila. Called it a Loco Margarita. It was fun for a few hours. Then you realize you were just poisioned.
I drank 2 or 3 of these after school at a buddies place when I was 15-16 years old, back in 2011 or 2012. I had rode my bike over to his place lol. Afterwards I tried riding back home, I was fine for a hundred yards or so, but at some point my balance just completely left me. There was a ditch on the side of the street I was riding on, I swerved into the ditch and ate it. This was all in daylight lol like late afternoon. I brushed myself off, pulled the bike out of the ditch and hopped back on, started riding again. Made it a little ways and then rode into the back of a parked car. Ended up walking my bike the rest of the way home after that lmao. Good times
