This is so beautiful, thank you for your embodied conviction in this holistic philosophy of education and your years of teaching. What a hopeful lifestyle. I pray I can give my children this education. I have an interview at a Waldorf school on Monday! *Fingers crossed
What a beautiful presentation and how sad I was to see in Googling David Blair that he passed away from cancer only a little more than one year after this presentation. I was truly impressed and moved by his warmth in this presentation and I pray that he find peace and beauty in the hereafter.
i find this a really clear ,inspiring explanation of waldorf education , he is so passionate and speaks with pure truth and has brilliant examples to explain the foundations anthroposophy, thanks
Beautifully done and gracious. The Little League illustration was great. The insidious way the Love of something is stolen by ill conceived intervention. Lost baseball for me but taught me to avoid coercion.
I like the way Waldorf Edication is executed by I hate when some ideas are so close to religion/flat earthers etc. And some facts are interpreted to fit the idea of steiner being some kind of prophet when they ar nothing more than corelation. Coexistence of facts is just coexistence of facts. btw. in age of 5 I was reading books and can still recall what I learned from them, in age of 10 I was learning basics of programming and it had nothing to do with the pre- and later primary school. The age has nothing to do with that. Only way of discovering the subject matters. I started reading because my parents were reading me books all the time, I learned history because I was listening how my older sister learns it, I learned programming because I liked game and discovered "Making Of" videos. I never really learned anything in school. You have to discover something on your own to fully enjoy the process of further exploration.
the thign is that the waldorf childrne are not different, they were simply allowed to be themselves. All the other children are in oposition to that only all the same.
Teach the subjects. We don’t need your fairytales and mystic love. Be a friend and kind but never cross the line of who you are. A servant to teach wisdom. We don’t need a belief system.

Does anyone have a link to the BBC doco mentioned at 54.15?
I think he meant this one: ruclips.net/video/ASqW2MRuvoQ/видео.htmlfeature=shared
It was the Waldorf Cigarette Factory. The Waldorf Astoria is a hotel in New York City
