- In this video, Gordon shows the line of Japanese bushcraft tools, made by OLFA Works. The Sanga Bushcraft Knife, Bushcraft Saw, Utility Camp Knife, and Outdoor Utility Knife. These tools are unique and perform really well in a camping and brushcraft setting.

Definitely going to be checking them out. Thanks for making some fresh content.
Thanks for the support!
These seem really fun for project making instead of strictly survival. Definitely interested in the saw to try in a small kit/backup.
The saw is stellar for a small kit, for sure!
Thank you for making this. I’ve never heard of this brand. I certainly wouldn’t mind brand spotlights in the future!
They look nice
Ok the first knife looks beautiful
And the saw has an awesome design.
I agree! I’m a big fan of their design work in these.

Follow up after some use and let us know how they hold up?
Oh wow I have to get that saw! Thanks for the information and link. I honestly have never heard of these before.
The saw is awesome, I love it. You are welcome and thanks for being here!
Love the production quality of your videos! You really know your stuff Gordon!
Thanks so much, Carl! Means a lot coming from you!
I've used Olfa knives all throughout my sign making years. Really didn't know they made others,, but that tracks with Japanese companies. Their companies tend to make something of everything related.
That’s great to hear you’ve had a positive experience with their other tools!
Ooooh those are slick! Clicking…buttons… now
Slick, indeed my friend! The saw is especially friendly for stashing in a backpack.
As someone who has used olfa utility knives my whole life i really want the olfa knife saw to have a replacement blade thats just a giant utility knife razor.. just because it would be funny to hand to someone who asks you to use their olfa knife.
I heard Japan & I know it's a go
When batonning with a smaller knife like the first one, baton the knife 2in in to the wood then turn the wood over so the knife is braced against your base then baton the log. It is a much larger striking area.
This is a great tip, thanks for sharing.
@@grimgranite Dave Canterbury tip.
Might have to check out that saw! See if I can ditch my corona
I like the replaceable saw blades. I wonder if they do say a hacksaw or different tooth spacing ones. Is the utility knife blade replaceable? I'm happy with my bahco and i have an Opinel folding saw too but you never know, i may have a few knife redundancies 🙄😁 maybe i need another saw that isnt a Silky
we need a mora comparo vid...
That would be fun! Great idea!
Too bad you didn‘t show the performance of the saw with bigger branches…
It’s really intended for detailed cuts through 3” or less stock. Everything has its limits, right? In general, you aren’t going to tackle stock that is greater in diameter than about 3/4 the length of the blade of the saw. This would be great for stocking a biofuel stove, small wood stove, or Bushcrafting tasks like cutting notches, etc.
