Do you know SMT you should do an update to your collection all the things you got after this collection tour sale from 2018-2022 so you would show her the stuff you got after this video and so forth
My brother owns a GP-15 in HO, Conrail #1628. This is unique to us, as my brother had his picture taken in the engineer's window while it sat on a lumber company siding, unattended & idling in Pennsauken, NJ. 😎
Nice to see the progression ! I offered a beginner kit to my 10 years old kid, and I quickly made a 6' x 9' layout on foldable feet, with a oval, a side track, 7 switches, and 2 secondary paths... We were seating in the middle in a opening of 1'x 2 1/2 '. Was fun, but lasted 2 weeks of fun for him... I was so sad that he did not like it. I tried to continue on it, but all the derails when backing were making me very disappointed... So I stored it away... 25 years later, I went at Hobbyville train shop on Decarie, Montreal, near Côte-Vertu, and was explained that I should have followed the NMRA specifications of car's weight and work on several issues to get a good track layout. I also discovered DCC system where I could run more than a loco at a time ! So I bought a two engine Backmann DCC starter kit and since I am still working at my table layout !!! I like to see your progession here on youtube ! Congratulations for your channel !
S.M.T. The Baltimore & Ohio F-Unit shell may be from an old Life-Like engine. Life-Like offered a train set in the early 1970s with assorted freight cars that had two B & O F-Units on the point; a powered A & a dummy B.
S.M.T. Regarding the Trix engines; I recall reading a book on Model Railways by a British author. The book mentioned & had photos of " Stud Contact " track. The track had small nails with flat heads, that were similar to carpet tacks, nailed between the ties ( one nail every inch or so ), & spaced halfway between the rails along the length of the track. A bare wire ran from nail-to-nail, underneath the heads of the nails. This provided a " third rail " like O gauge track & the sliding shoe underneath the Trix locomotive would contact the top of the nails. I have seen 3-rail Trix track in a hobby shop somewhere as well.
S.M.T. I found a You Tube video titled " La Massicciata ". The video is by Guido Nannini as he ballasts & paints the rails of commercially available stud contact track. It is about 9:26 in length.
Beg pardon, sir but I believe those are not Trix twin tracks, but Marklin track. they have a lower code of rail that the twin track, but operate in the same fashion. Also, they are both close relatives to Hornby Dublo.
Very cool and a WIDE range of locos! Just 1 little suggestion, if you're recording from your phone, see if you can turn the flash on or have a light shining onto your subject matter. It was a little dark, for me. What amazed me the most, was that you still remember when you got each one! Thanks for sharing. Roy
Hi, just found your channel and I was wondering if you were going to do a video about one or both of your Hustlers. I have one and while I got it repaired and painted up (it was found in a scrap box for free but painted completely gold inside and out so it was shorting itself out by its own body shell!), it isn't exactly a smooth runner despite the mechanism being in perfect working condition. I don't know how Hustlers are supposed to perform but since you really know your stuff about these models, I'd like to know if yours perform differently and if you needed to make any modifications I.E. conceal weight inside the shell somehow, as is what I suspect the main problem with my Hustler is.
On the F7 with the Hobbytown drive you need to get rid of the troublesome rubber tubing and replace it with a Hobbytown brass tube drive shaft with sliding universals. These are easily available on eBay or from the "new" Hobbytown owner. Will make that loco trouble free. And, it will pull a 50 car train if it has the weights in the loco. Have fun, Swamp Daddy
I remember that this was the first video of SMT mainline I ever watched. It was night and I was looking on youtube for HO trains videos and i found this... It was about 1 year ago so he had about 7k subs....
I believe that the Australian built loco is an Australian Alco, by Powerline trains. I couldn't see it good enough to positively identify it, but powerline makes relatively good stuff.
you really had to do that now sparky have to buy more locomotive has to cut the grass now in his area to buy some more lol awesome collection you have their
2020? And the 2006 steam engine I have the same one but with a tender and mine smokes and of course a different napePlate but there the same model which is pretty cool
Excellent Video Collection I like a word tells the history how you got started tell me about the British made engines you had their the metal ones how are those hornby's
They where made by Trix in England sometime in the late 40's or early 50's. My grandmother got them as a kid and brought them to Canada when she moved here, they apparently got damaged badly during their trip from England because the suite case they where in got crushed by something heavy during transit, also some of the parts are suffering from zink pest, luckily their sitting in a currently dry cool basement which should slow the zink pest from doing more damage. I hope some day I can get all five of them working. I have a couple more but they are in much worse shape, maybe some day I will do a video on them.
I got that many if not more BUT AFTER I WAS 25 (Over 50 now) when i was 19 about 15 (do NOT know how many I got now) That "Free" Pennsylvania looked like a Lionel HO piece if so you were REALLY lucky there Need Tyco parts?
Holy shit man got Engines?lol don't stop should get all rapaired Build a Huge layout for all those goregeous Engines don't stop spending your money on Engines the best drug you can ever be on it' s model trains the hell with what they say keep it up Bud.
I'd really like to however I think If I tried now I would run out of room, getting 300 was already tricky, but only time will tell, everyone seems to like these box cars
75% F7's
15% Steam
10% Other Locos
Lol don't you get bored of the same F7 or F3? You have so many!!!!
I don't know what it is about them, I seem to just keep collecting more and more of them
F7s are love, F7s are life!
I know I would! I don't have a single duplicate, although that is in part due to financial constraints.
Do you know SMT you should do an update to your collection all the things you got after this collection tour sale from 2018-2022 so you would show her the stuff you got after this video and so forth
SWEETA!!!! WOW that's cool man really cool how you have them from way back when,,WOW, thanks for tuning us in... Tom B

I probably will at some point
I had that same cn f7 as a first model train
I love the way you pile all your old locomotives on top of each other

nice stuff my friend
So all bachmann train have a lifetime warranty?
Yeah, provided you don't void it which seems to be pretty easy to do.
That's a good way to keep track of your locomotives - by year bought.
If you ever sell any of these units let me know! Awesome collection! ;)
On your 700 subscriber special you should make another train car with names on it
I remember that this was the first video of SMT mainline I ever watched. It was night and I was looking on youtube for HO trains videos and i found this... It was about 1 year ago so he had about 7k subs....

Impressive locomotive collection !

That's exactly how I store them :)
you really had to do that now sparky have to buy more locomotive has to cut the grass now in his area to buy some more lol

He could have said for some people to check out my channel
Let me know if need to train part/and not work locomotive I don't use anymore.
May I have the new York central steam locomotive
That doesn't seem fair to everyone else
How Much Rolling Stock were Knuckle Couplers how Many we’re horn hook? What Engines Are the Same with knuckle or horn hook?
Imagine how many locomotives would be in the 2019 slot if or when you remake this video
Might take two tables next time.
I wish had that many trains but I’m working towards getting more
If you get another royal blue, can i have it😟
I think its cool that you remember what year you got certain locomotives on. I can't remember the years I got each of my locomotives on
A 4014 big boy steam locomotive in ho scale would be awesome
for 2000 subs you should update your collection
Maybe that's what I'll do for 3k
I didn't realize how much you had........
my first train was a Amtrak P42DC I was only 5 when I got it.
i have 3 Santa Fe RDC's that I got at a train show for 25 bucks
I just subcribed
I have the same tyco Baltimore and Ohio but it’s my dad’s old one and it doesn’t run really well
From 75 subs to 1000. Wow.

I love 🚂
I got that many if not more BUT AFTER I WAS 25 (Over 50 now) when i was 19 about 15 (do NOT know how many I got now)
That "Free" Pennsylvania looked like a Lionel HO piece if so you were REALLY lucky there Need Tyco parts?
What's up with you and model trains
It's a vice....
Holy shit man got Engines?lol don't stop should get all rapaired Build a Huge layout for all those goregeous Engines don't stop spending your money on Engines the best drug you can ever be on it' s model trains the hell with what they say keep it up Bud.

Maybe a small railcar lol.
Smt you thing you can fit almost 2000 people on a boxcar?
Probably, not.
Watch out for the edge, jeez........
?
I subbed
Thank you vary much, I saw your channel and it looks like you have some pretty cool content so I supported your channel.
Thanks Man!! I’m happy to hear that. I can’t wait to see more of ur content. Although.. you should get more engines as 75% of them are F7/F3. (Lol)
Can I have a locomotive? I need a NS or CP
Well to be honest it wouldn't be entirely fair to give you a loco and not give one to everyone else, maybe I will do a contest in the future.
I have the UP 866
You live in Ontario?
Yes, Ottawa
I know it been two years but run the Louisville and Nashville RS3
yeah go to walthers
We need an update video!!!
Can you create another Subscribers boxcar because I want my YT channel name on one lol
I'd really like to however I think If I tried now I would run out of room, getting 300 was already tricky, but only time will tell, everyone seems to like these box cars
Oh you have 800 or 900 subs that’s too much and all the names won’t fit on one boxcar
I have to look this week
