Actually, Skar King is really a antagonist Titan. He always hungry for dominance and power and his dream is to reign over Earth. Skar King is solely responsible for the Great Titan War between Gojiras and Kongs centuries ago. Skar King planned this great titan war to eradicate Gojiras once and for all with the help of Kongs. But sometime later Kongs able to understand Skar King's plan and opposed him but Skar King drove them from Hollow Earth to Skull Island and with the help of Skullcrawlers Skar King wiped out those opposed Kongs on Skull Island except Kong who survived this massacre and faced the dangers in Skull Island and survived on Skull Island on his own. On the other hand in Hollow Earth due to driving many Kongs from Hollow Earth, Skar King faced defeat and Gojira emerge victorious in the Great Titan War with the last surviving member of Gojiras. That last Gojira is our main Godzilla and after the victory in the Great Titan War he sealed Skar and his army somewhere in Hollow Earth once and for all. But now Skar King returns from his imprisonment and with the help of his ape army and Shimo he wanted to take revenge from Godzilla and to conquer surface Earth.
All Fine with the Storyline...but the Director's Action and vision is Shit...literally He destroyed GMan's Character Arc
