it is funny to see all of the rusty-coloured forge and surrounding equipment, then a bright blue blower to contrast.
LoL yeah probably why it's not my favorite color 😉
I'm glad it worked out. When I was looking for the one I had, I noticed that one was blue and bigger... Because it's blue, it's the one I ordered. ;)
Thank you again Rob! I know you chuckled a little when getting it 😉
Lol
It works extremely well. I wish I had been equipped with tools as you are.
Looks like it is doing a great job. Thank you for sharing and thank you Rob. 👏👏👏👏
Thank you Wayne for watching
I have the same one but haven't used it. Got my forge kit a few years ago and put it all together but I don't have my shop together yet so it's just sitting. Had to go back up there and get a new one because the original one I had was the grey ones and what happened was the armature was loose and allowed the blades to scrape the housing when it turned on. It was the exact sound you don't want to hear when dealing with anything mechanical. To note the folks up there say not to use a dimmer switch because it messes up the motor.
Hi Roy, nice looking blower, glad you mentioned your favorite color. Yes it is a little noisy, but tolerable.
A big hand to Rob 👏👏👏. True friends are hard to find. 🙏🏼🔥⚒
Thank you Robert
I have the same blower on my ribbon burner except it’s green. Works great. Plenty of airflow, definitely recommend a gate valve instead of using the intake for air control. I haven’t used it on my solid fuel forge but I know it would work great for it.
Im current using a bouncy house blower that I got for $10 at an auction
I have a butterfly valve to regulate the air
Without it I can melt steel in about 10 minutes
I burn nut coal (anthracite ) from tractor supply
Bouncy house blowers will definitely work for sure 😊 probably a little too well.. gotta love auction finds
What a Nice Deal... Happy New Blower, Brother!
Embrace the Blue..!
I'll check it out!
Thanks for the video..
Great video, Rob is a hell of a guy indeed. He’s shown me a few tips over at Goshen when I went.
He really is a gentleman and a scholar!
Hey Roy, thats great, was wondering about the blue references in the last stream and now I know! Sending you a few stickers to help cover it up!
Yeah Paul it's not my favorite color in the world but like I said Man I get quite a few blue tools 😂 thank you sir for the stickers
that is an awesomely powerful blower. the blue looks great! as a side note, as i may have mentioned before i use anthracite/coke and need constant airflow as well. My blower is out of an old jenn-air?spelling? stove and has a 4 inch outlet that i had to mod to fit my dryer pipe. it does put out good airflow... not as much as that blue blower. but like your older one, its MUCH quieter. Only downside of the anthracite/coke setup is that doing any high carbon forge welding seems to require cannister or zero atmosphere setups. not saying it cant be done, but its definitely not as easy and has a high failure rate in my forge anyway.
Rob is a great guy !
I just spent a lot of time rebuilding an ancient Buffalo forge 200 silent blower. If I get tired turning the crank I may buy one of those.
Can you do a review on the hand cranked Amazon blacksmith blower
Will be in the future 🙂
@@ChristCenteredIronworks ok thank you so much take your time and please keep up the gorgeous work and amazing videos and advice you give and do
Looks great also Looks like the body of your forge is starting to rot away
Yeah it is going to need the help soon
Nice I got one similar off eBay I’m re doing my forge atm
Any updates on the blower? Still working good? I had one similar from Amazon but it seems they got me...(windings shorted to ground) was lookin at purchasing one of these to replace it
Cant blame you. Blue has one 1 purpose in this world...to mix with yellow to get Green.
Amen
They got green ones on amazon, i bought 1 a while back for my ribbon burner forge. Works great but gotta damper it way down.
I currently use a gas forge. Is there a reason to branch out and get a coal/charcoal forge as well, or would that just be redundant?
Could you tell me who you buy your coal from. Trying to get some in bulk without breaking the bank as it is just a hobby for me. Thank you
So it should work better than a hair dryer?
It's pretty quiet for me
Edit: I'd be happy to send a sticker but it's also blue LOL
That was just dryer vent tubing? That simple?
It’s acciaio blue! 😂😂
Yeah obviously 🤣😒
Does anyone make a hand cranked blower that is any good anymore? LOL and you need to stop ragging on the color blue. LOL
