It depends on the course - I'm on the Postgraduate law conversion course so admission was just based on my undergraduate grade and a personal statement, but I'm not sure about other courses here! it'll say on the University website if it's part of the process though :) and honestly I was terrified for my undergraduate interview so don't worry if interviews make you nervous 🫶🏻
Hey how did you manage to make friends on a masters? I’m doing media and PR in September at Newcastle (went to Manchester undergrad) and I can’t find any group chats etc ?! Xx
Hello! Can I ask what your accommodation is? I’m starting masters in Global Public Health on a scholarship but it seems I am lost in trying to find a good deal in accommodation… the Uni accommodation is a bit too pricey for my budget, and it’s gonna strain a bit on my stipend. Thanks so much! And best of luck to your law studies! 🙂
It's private student accommodation owned by Nido - I had a studio on a 43 week contract but I've just checked the website and they seem to have gotten rid of that option and put the price up by £30/week for next year 🙄 If you're looking for private student accommodation Shieldfield is still the cheapest area in ncl, but the cheapest option overall would probably be to find a flat share in Jesmond. I don't have any experience with it personally but some of my friends did that.
@@GeorgieEllen10 Thank you so much for this insight Georgie! Yes, I have seen that Nido is quite a tad bit pricey, but I didn't know the price went up by 30 ppw. shookt here lol. Right. I wanna say thanks again for your response! Selecting accommodation while I am a thousands of miles away is a daunting task, so you deffo helped. Cheers, Faye :)

I met people when I started my course and I joined the dance society! There are also freshers events on via the SU or societies, although in my experience it's still hard to meet people that way bc a lot of new starters are freshers and I didn't have much in common with them! It takes quite a while to make friends and a year isn't very long, but everyone is in the same situation and after a while people on the same course naturally make friends
I talked about this a bit in my video about what it's really like to be a postgrad - my biggest recommendations would be to join a society and ask people from your course to meet up outside of seminars :)
Good luck to everyone moving to University this term whether for the first time or the fourth time like me!
Hi i wanted to know the admission process here.. is it grade based or is there an interview? Honestly I get jitters while giving interviews..

Hi Georgie! was wondering if you could comment on Leazes Terrace by Graysons Properties near St. James Park Much thanks to you! ☺️
It's a nice area but I don't know anything about that accommodation specifically!
I like your vlogs❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Let us know how you get on with your law studies!
Now you're gonna be a lawyer?
I'm still thinking about it but maybe! The course covers all of the compulsory law modules so you can train as a solicitor or a barrister after
