Zwei... all those years ago on that monster screen in Game, I ran that demo and then the full game constantly! It sold so many Saturn machines along with Tomb Raider. We used to have crowds of people watching (and you were in that crowd lol). Absolutely stunning, a masterpiece 👏👏👏👏
@@mohammedahmad5641 That and Tomb Raider being demoed remains some of my strongest memories of those machines being shown off heh. Good old times my brother. True mind blowing gaming moments!
I started watching this the other day but I got distracted and had to put it on hold. Some great vid editing mate. I love a good on rails shooter. Was great to hear Panzer Dragoon Zero when you fight Hanuman in the forest. That is my fave music from the entire game. That final fight against the dragon with that thumping music was great as well. Hearing it again in PS Saga when you fight the not-dead Shelcooth was such a moment in that game. Absolute highlight. Super thunderblade ive not played in the arcade but I really enjoy the Megadrive version! Galaxy Force 2 is damned good too but the energy/timer is far too stringent in my.opinion 😂 I did some vids on all the Saturn Sega Ages releases in Japan so I covered Space Harrier and After Burner which are both fantastic ports. I sadly didn't get AB Climax at the time as I wasn't doing much of that sort of game at the time so I didn't know about it. I have played it in the arcade though. Phenomenal game.
Cheers Martin, thanks for watching. Always nice to see someone who understands Zwei and Saga. Just imagine what a peak Sega of old could do with a modern battle against such classic bosses, or even flying through another resurrected Shelcoof now; would look and be absolutely epic. Like most arcade games, Galaxy Force is no different in its difficulty heh, but man, that sprite scaling is still something to behold. Shame about After Burner Clilmax being delisted. Sega and their licensed games are both a thing of beauty and a legal nightmare. Glad you enjoyed the vid, thanks for the great comment.
Star Fox is one of my favorite SNES games, but I never really got into the on-rail shooter genre... If I had a Saturn I'm sure I would have loved Panzer Dragoon, tho
Sorry I miss this comment bud. Glad you enjoyed it. Took a while to put together this one, but it was a topic and genre that means a lot to me, so wanted to do it as much Justice as I could.
That After Burner death animation is ART! Always loved that game visually. THIS video is why you absolutely are one of my favorite youtubers! Original, thorough, and funny as hell, I was dying over the segment with the lightgun, haha! I always prefer Lylat Wars over Starwing, but would never fault anyone for saying the inverse, both are perfection! That Panzer Dragoon Orta looked visually amazing, I'm very intrigued by it!
@@TheLegendOfRetro One of the best death animations ever. Truly memorable. Starwing and Lylat Wars, both peak for sure. And yeah, Orta visually is stunning, even if the art direction strays somewhat from the previous games. Thanks brother, glad you enjoyed it! Took an eternity to put together and ended up being longer than I wanted it to be, but meh, still enjoyed making it.
This is a quality list. Sin and Punishment was my jam and I would've loved Kid Icarus more, but I really struggled with the controls if I played for more than an hour. Also ever knew After Burner also came out on the Xbox.
@@ob1slam Always good to see you in the comments brother. Sin and Punishment, both games are fantastic. And I understand the on the ground control struggles with Kid Icarus, but man, the onrail phases of every level are Crom tier. And yeah, After Burner Climax is amazing. Hopefully they re-release it at some point for people who learn about it. Thanks for watching.
@@cycoyote2082 Heh my thoughts on the remake of the original on this channel are well documented. My fear for how they'll handle the sequel is even greater. As always, fingers crossed they do a worthy job.
On rail shooters are a lot of fun for me! Some of these games are on my wishlist to pick up or eventually play! I looked up After Burner Climax and see they delisted it all the way back in 2014. Brutal and weird cause I was going to see if it was on the PS3 store.
That's great to hear my young brother! Aye, I remember that about After Burner now, thought that was the case as the same thing happened to Outrun 2 and some other Sega games. Hopefully these games come back somehow, preferably physical! Hope you enjoyed the vid.
Your snes rpg was awesome too comes in 3rd place for me number one for me is bahamut lagoon and then chron trigger and then your favourite Terranigmaaaa

Never too late to play some Saturn baby!
Fantastic video and I think I watched all your videos. Your passion for gaming is truly refreshing

I hadn’t seen some of these games , a really good look in to some amazing games that I will be researching myself great upload my friend
That's great to hear! Always good when you can discover new stuff. I made an effort to title each game too so people know. Glad you enjoyed it.

I seriously hope the Panzer Dragoon Zwei Remake will come true and turn out as solid as the original was!!!!
