Making fanzines is truly a lost art…..I wish you all the best with the making of your fanzine. Spirit Duplicator Fluid is difficult to find. Rubbing Alcohol is a decent substitute.
@@existentialphysicswithogar1180 That was useful - but getting masters/carbons might also be difficult. If anyone knows of a source in the UK, that would be helpful.
i was reading old Oklahoma State Penitentiary zine the Eye Opener from 54 and was thinking how did they get this awesome blue red purple print and here it is.
Thanks for your comment. I have a small collection of 1950’s fanzines. Some of the multicolor artwork in them is truly amazing considering that each color was individually added.
This is a cool look into history, fascinating how non-electric copying could be done. Do I understand correctly that this fundamentally works be leaching some ink from the Master onto the copy? How many copies can usually be made from one master?
Hi John, Yes, essentially it is a leaching process. My experience is that I can get 25-35 excellent copies from one master, and then another 50 legible copies. Thanks for your comment and interest. Ogar
Thanks so much for this. This is invaluable info. I want to get a spirit duplicator and make my own zines, without relying on a lot of digital tech.

@@g-r-a-e-m-e- Currently there are some available on EBay. That has been my primary source.
I hope you succeed! I'd enjoy seeing anything you published.
Love this, Ogor❤😁
Aah - I can smell my physics teacher's class handouts freshly off the Banda copier...in the early 1980s.
