I disagree. Many Mexicans are into straight up brawling, but if you beat your opponent that way then there's nothing wrong with it. Barrera turned into a great counter puncher as time went by too and Chavez could easily outbox an average fighter, it just wasn't what he was about.

Oscar De La Hoya was a good boxer puncher great jab and great techniques and juan manuel marquez is a great counter puncher and has great techniques and there is much more but and brawling is not bad for the sport if there was nothing but counter puncher there would be no boxing because the counter puncher would just be wattling for the counter punch and no one would throw a punch
