We use similes and metaphor, especially in poems, they make them very very enjoyable.
thank you for your choice to this kind of topic.

Thanks, you are very patiently. From your video,I learned much. Here,I have a question about preposition.like "in""on""at""to""from""but""unless""by""of" etc.I often be confused by this words. It always puzzle me that when I use this and when I use that. How do you think about this? Thanks, again.

Why is the second one a simile? Doesn't a simile compare two unrelated things? You're is referring to a person and mother is also a person.

So like a simile is like this?
The turtle is as slow as a slow motion movie?
    Here is another one
She's (my mom) like my dad-
    Always entertaining me!
If you can comment back that would be lovely!

I like your video but African Americans use a lot of this stuff and slang when we talk and It plays a huge part in rap music, so my Russian friends are always asking me to explain this stuff to them, they should learn it and listening to some rap music won't hurt.

What's the need for calling them metaphor and simile. Why didn't the dictionary god just change the definition of metaphor to incorporate simile. Even if I know something is a simile I will still say metaphor because saying simile sounds odd. Nobody says simile unless you're in grade three and the definition is going to be on your english test.
