My thoughts and situation exactly also. Still love my “trusty” MSP, but this is the first Begode wheel I’d even consider since the RS, and it’s still a bit premature to say now they’re going to do. Order is in for my ‘S’, which should be here any time, but I far prefer the build quality of the Veteran wheels as compared to the recent modular Begode ones. Happy with my choice, though I did give this one some consideration at the time of making my decision as to which suspension wheel I was going to put my money on. @Mike Houldsworth yeah the clipping videos are highly questionable with excessively low psi.. proof stairs can be done.. he's not going that fast either.. with more speed equals more clearance.. jury is still out re steeper stairs tbh but still don't think it's that big a deal with high enough psi/ speed ruclips.net/user/shortsvun6x23uc8I?feature=share but for them to say you can't ride stairs in general due to clipping was very misleading.. that is not definitive in the slightest
Had my ex30 for a month now, the acceleration is like no other, 40mph comes quick with very little effort... and for Begode, the quality is much improved.
From the moment I initially saw the announcement and read the specs with the new WIDER C40 4,000watt motor, same 20" tire to retain nimbleness, and 3,600wh battery, I knew I had to get this wheel coming from the Master. Now that we're here and I'm within a month of getting mine I'm even more excited!
Thanks Hsiang, I ordered some of those pedals for the 16x. God dam the freaking difference in comfort!! I don't get as fatigued as well. Those stock pedals was so uncomfortable. Gave my legs cramps as well. Thanks again buddy

Man picking an EUC seems so hard. I want the performance ceiling to be as high as possible so that I never even get close to it, while having the best torque for braking/climbing. At the same time, I want reliability. No cutouts. No fires. It just works. It seems I either get one or the other when picking brands. I come from a Onewheel so I'm used to a simpler choice
Veteran Patton or Sherman, either would be fine and either would make even the GT look like a low power toy by comparison. Honestly I feel bad when I see a OW rider inching along on the bike path now.
Are they still going to ship out with 80/100-14 motorcycle tires? I was so excited that companies were responding to rider feedback and ditching the CST.
I had to come back and check this wheel out after hearing you rave about its performance when it came out. I am def getting a suspension wheel next but i really wanted to check out the quality of the begode wheels as a whole given their past lack of engineering safety. Thanks as always for your real world reviews.
As much as we all complain, begode/ gotway’s willingness to push the boundary and experiment means that they will always gives you that extra bit of boost you’ll find nowhere else!
I thought long and hard about that title but I do think that the EX30 is “special” everything else felt like begode playing catch up especially with their suspension design, but the battery height drop is something no one else had done and may not do either.
@@OWGAC haha no problem, your video, as always, is great! It's just a small mockery and a friendly warning that you might have difficulty to find a new hyperbole for the next begode revolution , which I personally hope could solve the soup reservoir that now serves as a screen 😂
Just pre-ordered mine, and my first accessories order was the full Grizzla pad setup!! I'm sooooooo excited!! I love how they finally put out a matte black rim.
I'm thinking of getting the EX30 as my first EUC, but I'm a little concerned about finding a velcro strip that adheres to the uneven battery casing. Which Velcro did you use?
If that's a concern I have a recommendation: get a can of spray foam adhesive and some flexible super glue with a cyanoacrylate activater spray. The ca glue is to instantly adhere the pads the spray foam is to fill the grooves in the case
And importantly so, this wheel is not faster than the Inmotion V13 in either top speed and top free spin speed. I'm not sure about acceleration because the post time here for 30mph is 48 and some change in kph. Likewise Kuji's 70 kph is faster than 40 mph. My guess though, is that the V13 is faster with acceleration as well. I mean with 300 nm of torque it isn't hard to believe. That is also why I'm guessing we got no mention of the EX30's motor specs. I'm not discounting what Hsiang is saying but I believe his impression are because of his weight and size. I am not sure he was able to push the V13 in the same way that Kuji could. He mentions this as well, so I think he is CYA'ing there for good reason. Not hating, but I really think the V13 is still superior to this wheel, for many reasons.
Hi...i am a non rider but since Watching your pods you yes you Are slowly getting me hooked. I recently bought a ebike now I thought i will have a look at EUC,S...never seen one up close. They are rare here in the Uk, But uou are getting me hoooked.😎
Get a hoverboard perhaps and ride it around the inside the house for a few weeks, if you wanna get used to the feeling of a machine self-balancing underneath of you.
Even nearing the end of 2024, I firmly believe the EX30 is still the best upper tier wheel on the market especially in terms of bang for your buck. The EX30 comes with 3600wh battery and 4000w C40 high torque motor which is still nearly best in class. Currently have 2500 miles on mine and if there is any kind of black friday sale, thinking of buying 1 more for a back up.
Getting closer and closer to the "Quam”, that is Nirvana...In other words, THIS very performance and stability at speed I always dreamt of , but with a higher attack and battle angle for curves and stairs and a reasonable price.Once they get It with an smarter BMS and never heavier than 80 lbs. they will have achieved the wheel of the Gods.Gen 10 or12 might nail It.❤️
Thanks for the heads up. I got a deposit down for mine and will get a sneak preview this Thursday when marty Backe comes to Huntington Beach for a Senior Citizen EX30 Demo Day.

Hi Sean, glad you like the ex30 it looks like an awesome wheel. When you were doing your patented delinquent test I thought for sure Archie Bunker was going to come out in the street and yell at you to slow down.
I picked up the Sherman S (about to receive it!). I'd be surprised if Leaperkim doesnt optimize power delivery for responsiveness in a future firmware update. I like to go on trails once in a while (so need the pedal height) and most importantly, I live in Montreal! The streets conditions are absolute garbage, having great suspension was mandatory if I didnt want a knee replacement surgery by the end of the decade. And that's not even taking into account the few times I almost ate it last year due to abysmal road conditions.
Nothing beats a sherman S when it comes to suspension performances especially over bad road surfaces. its not going to have the same power output as the EX30 but are you really looking for 50mph speed?
I'm riding my ex30 offroad a lot (at least 50/50 trails/ street).. it performs excellently.. yet to ride a technical trail but the ex30 is very nimble despite its weight due to its low center of gravity so will do at least as well if not better than the Sherman s offroad with the extra torque and with enough psi in the shock and tire.. the pedal clearance is just as great as the master.. the ex30 suspension is great for me offroad..I was riding a lot offroad with my non suspension rs ht but this is next level and can adjust between soft trail mode and hard Street mode on the fly.. the 100mm 4th gen suspension is quiet and cushy (no clanking like with older begode suspensions).. really great.. and if you still don't like it it's easily and cheaply upgraded with non proprietary parts like the master spring suspension mod that can also be done to the ex30 (I tried a master with that mod side by side with a ss and it's game changing.. felt just as great as the ss.. so you can upgrade the ex30 suspension but you can't upgrade the ss performance to match the ex30.. this to me personally makes the ex30 the better wheel as it at least meets my highest needs (primarily around max performance) better and imho is the best wheel you can get today that 'does it all' (as is the ss).. the ss is a great wheel and can understand why others may prefer it but not for me and my riding style
@@OWGAC Ride quality (i also like very long range rides) and versatility were at the top of my list. I'll probably hit 50mph a couple of times just for giggles, but will likely ride 37-43mph at the top end 😁. The way I see it, the Sherman S is a well rounded wheel, capable of 80-90% of any other wheel on the market and that's good enough for me.
I was going to get this, but I don’t want a wheel that can’t even go over a curb without worrying about the battery dragging. I’ve seen videos with the front of the battery frame pad smashed and this one dragging on the back going down the stairs. If you only want to go on flat ground, great wheel, but having the batteries, frame, and pads hanging past the tire rim is just stupid. It would be much better to have the battery packs taller and thinner so they don’t cause interference past the rim. Sure the weight is lower, but don’t try going on a trail with this. I’ll stick with the Master. I’m still waiting for anyone to actually push the EX30 to a higher speed than the Master can do.
I'll be watching for the guys here in Colorado (or other hilly places) to test it... After watching the stair run, it seems like that long low tail would make it hard to stop coming down some of our steep hills.... ?
Checkout the PEV 20/20 group on face book we do rides up lookout mountain. I’ll be taking the ex30 up lookout this summer so come ride with us and we’ll find out how it does.
Hello, first of all great video! I ride a McM5 V2.... I'm interested in the grips that you are using with the knob on front and backside of the foot. It appears like it provides stable grip when accelerating and control when braking.
@@justinspirational yeah gps isn't totally precise either. It uses changes in position over time. Since gps can only estimate your position roughly I don't see how it can give exact speed measurements.
I generally use my Garmin Epix 2 Watch set to use GPS + Multiband which is GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS satellites across multiple frequencies. Seems to be the most precise device (in general recreational realm) for speed tracking and is in 97% accuracy. I use that to set my adjust %
Great video, however the EX30 is bulky and an eye sore. Trying to make a determination as to which wheel to go to from my V11. Any suggestions between the Master, V13 and Sherman S? Thank you for the video and your time. Stay safe sir!
I voted for the Sherman S myself because of its better range. The V13 is better and comes with a better headlight, trolley and a nicer design but the range suffers.
Is there a payload capacity anywhere listed for this? I'm a heavier rider 300lbs and would really like to upgrade from my current euc to something with more range (though reduced by my size) and more power to compensate for the weight. It's a bear being 6'3"
It should be able to handle a 300lbs rider. Payload capacity aren’t a good indicator since its really variable for a self balancing vehicle, but with the amount of power this wheel have it should have no problem with you. I have ridden with a 70 lbs backpack (I am 200) on it and it did fine.
I'll keep my Master and keep my eyes on the next fastest wheel. Master Pro or whatever comes out this year in 2023. Also, don't forget that this year means another 10 mph increase in speed. 70 mph euc???
The ex30 is better on every count than the master (build quality, suspension, power, torque, range, stability etc).. my friend is selling his Master now he has an ex30.. the ex30 is just as great offroad as it is on the street so long as you have decent psi in the shock and tire.. no issue with stairs either with decent psi and speed
If anybody could eliminate cut out... That would be most appreciated. Even v13 cut out with all the redundancy and safety... Then fuck it just go begode!
Begode Ex30 is the only wheel that have a rubber gasket for their motor. Only if they would do the same for the top hatch of the motorboard compartment. Still waiting for a dare devil to take it to 60 mph GPS speed.
Being that there is no handle to grip onto when braking, can you not use the front nose of the body to brake? Or is there a potential mod that can be done to add a handle?
In an emergency situation I don’t think you’ll be able to find that handle, also not all euc come with an handle upfront so for comparison I decided not to pull on the handle, but yes it will improve braking if you do use the handle.
I have the Sherman Max still. Is this worth getting? I might not be able to get anything untl late this year.. so we'll see then, if this is still a good bet.
The original Monster? Sherman S is the most comfortable with that superior suspension. EX3 is the most stable with the low center of gravity and suspension combo. Monster unfortunately can’t keep up with any of these modern wheel in terms of comfort or stability, gets close but not having a suspension means you can’t hit any potholes.
hey I'm a euc rider I now ride the ninebot z10 very interesting wheel lol but I love it and I always like really really want to try out new electric unicycle but I don't have 2000$ to spend on each one and was wondering how do you buy each one do you pay for every single one
No, Begode are far from sunk. They may have a real winner on their hands here. As long as no horror stories emerge in the coming months, as long as they can get the things out the door, as long as the dealers feel they have the proper support from the Company to stock them.
My first real unicycle!(first one was a cheap plastic one as a kid ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4e2fa6x27dF7shCelntq0ZIKt4N0jELI I never learned to ride)So, this is a true learner, and for a C note, exactly what was needed. After a few weeks, I'm able to easily ride up and down the street. The Good: Solid frame. Has absorbed numerous spills through learning and still solid. Look - great looks, after 6 weeks of bashing Weight - it's really all tire, but as I fall I can easily grab the seat so it doesn't slam the ground. Size - Very adjustable. I'm 6', 33" inseam. I put it mostly up, but could go a bit higher if I needed to. The Bad: Not sure if it's out of the norm, but seat got scraped up quickly. Pedals - they are a bit uncomfortable and I can't get the right feel on my feet. But, they are solid and haven't been damaged at all as I've seen in reviews on other cycle's.- To address one comment about the seat connection not straight. Huh? Seat is on a round pole, you just turn it and it's straight. Either of the bad I expected to replace once I improved. I'd recommend to anyone else in the learning phase.
I appreciate these videos. Like most people I don’t appreciate a wheel that will burn down my house. I really hope they realize defects and fix the issues. Awesome review btw.
I’m Not feel comfortable to sleep over Begode wheels inside home, a friend put his house to the ground by fire after MS PRO ignited by yourself at 6am (outside outlet, just resting), almost killed everyone inside.
I am a beginner and my skills are not very good. Is it okay to buy this car? Is the car easy and nimble to handle? Does ex30 have negative reviews? Which one is better with Commander pro?
EX30 is a high performance EUC design for expert riders, its going to be harder to rider for a beginner so I don’t recommend it. 16” wheel would be a better choice
@@justinspirational my x 30 is coming in about a week. Do you think your friend will miss the ability to take on stairs and trails when he sells his master? As much as we all complain, begode/ gotway’s willingness to push the boundary and experiment means that they will always gives you that extra bit of boost you’ll find nowhere else!
Nice. Seems like with every begode comes a new revolutionary begode video..
I personally can wait for the next "revolution"😁
I thought long and hard about that title but I do think that the EX30 is “special” everything else felt like begode playing catch up especially with their suspension design, but the battery height drop is something no one else had done and may not do either.
@@OWGAC haha no problem, your video, as always, is great! It's just a small mockery and a friendly warning that you might have difficulty to find a new hyperbole for the next begode revolution , which I personally hope could solve the soup reservoir that now serves as a screen 😂
I want one of those 5 built 134V RS19 that hit 62 MPH
Just pre-ordered mine, and my first accessories order was the full Grizzla pad setup!! I'm sooooooo excited!! I love how they finally put out a matte black rim.
Still using my old MSX 100v in the Norcal mountains. I'm planning to tour Europe and Asia on a wheel soon. Might be this one.
What's the mileage on your msx?
Wow I'm sold. Great content and your humour is the best Hsiang. I'm ready to forgive and forget, ex 30 is next. 6 pack Gord
as i remember, all wheels for you is revolutionary released :)
HAHHHAHAHA i love the intro - i died from laughter man!!! good on ya!
Yes it is faster ppl hit 60 on this wheel depending on your weight and settings . It also kills v13 in range due to its bigger battery.
Hi...i am a non rider but since
Watching your pods you yes you
Are slowly getting me hooked.
I recently bought a ebike now
I thought i will have a look at
EUC,S...never seen one up close.
They are rare here in the Uk,
But uou are getting me hoooked.😎
Get a hoverboard perhaps and ride it around the inside the house for a few weeks, if you wanna get used to the feeling of a machine self-balancing underneath of you.
Even nearing the end of 2024, I firmly believe the EX30 is still the best upper tier wheel on the market especially in terms of bang for your buck. The EX30 comes with 3600wh battery and 4000w C40 high torque motor which is still nearly best in class. Currently have 2500 miles on mine and if there is any kind of black friday sale, thinking of buying 1 more for a back up.
Getting closer and closer to the "Quam”, that is Nirvana...In other words, THIS very performance and stability at speed I always dreamt of , but with a higher attack and battle angle for curves and stairs and a reasonable price.Once they get It with an smarter BMS and never heavier than 80 lbs. they will have achieved the wheel of the Gods.Gen 10 or12 might nail It.❤️
Great Job Hsiang. I love how effortless it looks to fly on this wheel
Love the delinquent test
Thanks for the heads up. I got a deposit down for mine and will get a sneak preview this Thursday when marty Backe comes to Huntington Beach for a Senior Citizen EX30 Demo Day.
🤯
We are in the USA. Talk MPH not Kilometers per hour. Now I have to do the math 😂. Great video
Unless you live in Liberia, Burma, or the US, you'll be familiar with the metric system. He's choosing to cater to the 95% of the rest of the world. Hi from Canada!
@@carlinlemon5884 Most RUclips videos on any given subject are viewed by Americans. I highly doubt that 95% of the people watching Hsiang's video are outside of the United States. Americans probably represents ~50% of his viewers if not more 😄
Kmh please
He's literally in NYC so yeah mph makes more sense lol especially since speed limit signs on the streets show mph.
@@themasterofbbq1234 preach 👏🙌
Hi Sean, glad you like the ex30 it looks like an awesome wheel. When you were doing your patented delinquent test I thought for sure Archie Bunker was going to come out in the street and yell at you to slow down.
my mom watch my video sometime, I am not sure if she'll like that part LOL
@@OWGAC Lol
Loving the Gw logo up-front and in yer face!
That was intense, had to watch it twice... 👍
Thanks very much 👍
Another really amazing quality video! I appreciate what you do for the hobby and community.
Master çıktığı yıl bile zamanının ötesinde bir tekerdi ve hala güncel güçlü ve kabiliyetleri hala iyi
Hi Hsiang. Another great video. What side pads do you recommend instead of stock to get the juice out of this wheel?
I'll be watching for the guys here in Colorado (or other hilly places) to test it... After watching the stair run, it seems like that long low tail would make it hard to stop coming down some of our steep hills.... ?
it drops real low when you bottom out and if you are on anything other than flat pavement it'll catch!
Checkout the PEV 20/20 group on face book we do rides up lookout mountain. I’ll be taking the ex30 up lookout this summer so come ride with us and we’ll find out how it does.
@@BryanBlyzes Unfortunately, I left fb/anything owned by Meta, a long time ago. But thank you for connecting!
Awesome 👌🏽... Where can I purchase those pads from to better control the EX30❓️
👍👍- Nice review! Thanks Hsiang!
Hello, first of all great video! I ride a McM5 V2.... I'm interested in the grips that you are using with the knob on front and backside of the foot. It appears like it provides stable grip when accelerating and control when braking.
In EUC World you can adjust your speed -9% and it will be pretty much spot on with GPS
But which is the true speed? Surely gps is not
@@justinspirational yeah gps isn't totally precise either.
I use that to set my adjust %
that top speed is insane
great review!
The tyre low key sounds like a supercharged tie fighter
now you just need to get some light sabers..
Hello Hsiang, Will you review the new Commander Pro? I really enjoy watching watching your videos, trying to decide on my next wheel.
Hi there, which model would u recommend for off-rode rides - beach rides?
any of the recent 16inch releases, V14, Patton and Extreme are all excellent for offroad use.
when your first wheel Master or begode wheel, you should upgrade to this 😄
Great review Hsiang!
just like what i thought about sherman-s vs ex30.
better suspension, build quality and clearance vs pure performance and lower center of gravity.
Great video as usual 👍
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great video, however the EX30 is bulky and an eye sore. Trying to make a determination as to which wheel to go to from my V11. Any suggestions between the Master, V13 and Sherman S? Thank you for the video and your time. Stay safe sir!
I voted for the Sherman S myself because of its better range. The V13 is better and comes with a better headlight, trolley and a nicer design but the range suffers.
Which wheel has more range the ex30 or the Sherman s?
The new ex30 pedals will look good on my mten4 :)
Top Tier Review
Is there a payload capacity anywhere listed for this? I'm a heavier rider 300lbs and would really like to upgrade from my current euc to something with more range (though reduced by my size) and more power to compensate for the weight. It's a bear being 6'3"
It should be able to handle a 300lbs rider. Payload capacity aren’t a good indicator since its really variable for a self balancing vehicle, but with the amount of power this wheel have it should have no problem with you. I have ridden with a 70 lbs backpack (I am 200) on it and it did fine.
bahahaha. Love this guy and I don't eeven own a wheel yet. this is good content.
I'll keep my Master and keep my eyes on the next fastest wheel. Master Pro or whatever comes out this year in 2023.
Also, don't forget that this year means another 10 mph increase in speed. 70 mph euc???
2023 will be the year of 16” wheels so I don’t think we’ll see a push on top speed, I may be wrong of course
Absolutely, very happy with my Master. But this looks to be a good wheel. Time will tell.
Opened up the ex30. The general sealing is the best yet anyway against water getting in
Being that there is no handle to grip onto when braking, can you not use the front nose of the body to brake? Or is there a potential mod that can be done to add a handle?
In an emergency situation I don’t think you’ll be able to find that handle, also not all euc come with an handle upfront so for comparison I decided not to pull on the handle, but yes it will improve braking if you do use the handle.
You should be able to use it as an x-box also. Or it should "transform" into a coffee table or something.
I have a bad knee and a bad back. Priority #1: suspension, so Sherman-S 100%
I have the Sherman Max still. Is this worth getting? I might not be able to get anything untl late this year.. so we'll see then, if this is still a good bet.
EUCs are going through rapid iterations, so if you can wait, wait. Since there will inevitably be better wheels in another 6 month.
These wheel are not priced to just buy and try. The are good or they are not.
@@OWGAC I think I'm going to get the Sherman L. What do you think? I'm using the Max still.
God Speed!!! No cutout.
Even with hitting 52mph I haven’t even gotten the wheel to beep yet! Very impressed especially wen combined with good range!
Awesome. Sounds very promising.
And yet you dont even go faster than my top speed on my old sherman
Hey what’s that heavy metal track that laying mid-video?
"..the ground clearance of a Catholic nun..." wow, my imagination is running away with me
could You compare COMFORT+STABILITY (not performance) of riding:
- Monster vs sherman-S vs ex30 ?
The original Monster? Sherman S is the most comfortable with that superior suspension. EX3 is the most stable with the low center of gravity and suspension combo. Monster unfortunately can’t keep up with any of these modern wheel in terms of comfort or stability, gets close but not having a suspension means you can’t hit any potholes.
What was your settings on the ex30
hey I'm a euc rider I now ride the ninebot z10 very interesting wheel lol but I love it and I always like really really want to try out new electric unicycle but I don't have 2000$ to spend on each one and was wondering how do you buy each one do you pay for every single one
Fantastic review!!🔥🔥🔥
Is the motor sound of this wheel louder than other wheels?
No, Begode are far from sunk. They may have a real winner on their hands here. As long as no horror stories emerge in the coming months, as long as they can get the things out the door, as long as the dealers feel they have the proper support from the Company to stock them.
Can anyone tell me the name of the song at the end of the video, the very end. Google isn't able to match it to anything.
Hsiang get some air for the tyres😅
How do you balance the cells?
It has passive cell balancing for what i read
Maybe this is a hot take but I prefer the begode look over inmotion or sherman. Looks badass af
If you only had one wheel, would you make this your daily or the Sherman s?
you had me at “I’ve changed and found God…” - you mean God Mode?
I appreciate these videos. Like most people I don’t appreciate a wheel that will burn down my house. I really hope they realize defects and fix the issues. Awesome review btw.
I’m Not feel comfortable to sleep over Begode wheels inside home, a friend put his house to the ground by fire after MS PRO ignited by yourself at 6am (outside outlet, just resting), almost killed everyone inside.
When are you getting yourself Insta360 X3?
I don't really like 360 cameras, they are just a bit more troublesome then I am willing to deal with, gopro works for me like 99% of the time.
We need more battery safety wheels. They are going faster but more dangerous to have at home. I dont like the v13 but safety issues is good for mind.
Awesome review as always, is this worth upgrading from a master with about a grand worth of mods? Or just go for the Sherman s instead?
Ex30 and I love mine.. my friend got an ex30 and may be selling his Master
You’re likely gonna do mods on a Sherman S as well. It depends are you in it more for the suspension and comfort or thrill of the ride?
@Lord Sauron ex30 suspension is comfy enough and upgradeable easily.. you can't upgrade the ss to the power thrills the ex30 offers
@@justinspirational completely agree. Which is why I’m getting the EX30 and hopefully soon! 🤞🏻
@@justinspirational my x 30 is coming in about a week. Do you think your friend will miss the ability to take on stairs and trails when he sells his master?
That's the only thing that has me bummed out about the x 30. I'm used to Riding high up on my v 11 so I would not have minded if the x 30 raised up the battery cases
