I planted a free packet of carrots seeds from Baker Creek. I let them bloom and cut them for bouquets. They look exactly like the Dara.

This is why my husband gives me the side eye every time a plant or seed packet shows up: I see it, and I HAVE to have it, whether I have room to grow it or not (hint: I don't, but it doesn't stop me 😂) I blame my mother, she would constantly buy new furniture and decor and every time my Dad asked her where she was going to put it because our house was full she would say "I'll find a place' with a smile on her face. I loathe clutter in my home, but every time my husband asks me where I am gonna plant it..."I'll find a place" 😁

You know what is awesome. Water lilies. I picked a handful while kayaking. They last a long time. You do gotta fill a container up with water and the flowers float on top of the water. They close at night and open in the morning. I was quite intrigued. I hear water lotus make awesome cut flowers.

I grow love-in-the-mist and bells of Ireland because they have been self sowing for many years in my garden. I live in Southern California and I don’t understand the need to freeze bells of Ireland when they self sow so easily without cold temperatures here. I guess I am lucky. Thanks for the tips.

I grew blueplerum successfully in zone 3b. It was rewarding .
Just yesterday I read that it needs light to germinate.
I saw videos saying it needs dark to germinate. I used a wet facecloth draped over it to help keep it dark and moist after first surface sowing it and leaving it outside in the snow for a couple weeks covered.
Sound like a hassle ? It was , but all the more satisfying to see the seedling emerge after 20 plus days.

This is one of my favorite videos you have made. Probably because I want to grow all you have shown. Especially nigella and poppy. I have such a hard time with these two. I am zone5. In very early spring have tried to direct seed onto soil w no luck. Following year tried direct sowing into open containers. Got germination but they were so pathetic looking and did not last long. Going to winter sow them in milk jugs this year. Problem is neither like to be transplanted. Crossing my fingers. Feel like that train engine in the children's story who is trying to go over a steep hill. I can do this. I can do this.

Hi Danielle . Ive also read about different ways of sowing sweet peas and it sounded so hard but what i did was simply put them in a 2 inch container with a lid and it took about 4 days to all come up and 12 more days for me to repot them because they were getting quiet big. That was my experience and none the less i love your channel for being so imformational. Thank you.

Thank you 😊 so much for sharing your gardening information. I really enjoy learning as much as possible about each individual plant 🌱 so that I can decide where, when and even if I should grow it. I live in subtropical Qld, Australia so I try to adapt the information to growing in my climate. Fortunately, we still get a cold winter but without snow. This helps many of the plants that require a cold 🥶 snap.
