Just a heads up we are running the 6×9s bandpass as midbass only and running a ct sounds AT 1360 200.4 and metered it at 221. 6 watts RMS @,4 ohm they will differently handle the power and running the 2.75s mids on a ct sounds AT 60.4 @ 2ohm on channel 3 and 4. Channels 1 and two on channel 1 and on a pair of deaf bounce 3" super tweeters and I tell you these kss269s are working it the midbass we getting out of these. Is crazy crossover set at 80hz
do you relize what you can buy for 480 bucks instead of that !00000000...................................................................................0.
Been enjoying the CS 6.75 comps for 6 or 7 mo. They sound good and get loud however when I get a little carried away the crossover temporarily cuts either the higher frequencies or the tweet. Makes me crazy enough I'm planning on going full active. Thought it was my amp, then my head unit, replaced them both and same results. Drives me nuts. Hate being told to turn it down!
It is possibly, but would require some tuning on your part to dial it in (acoustically speaking). You'd likely need a DSP to have the EQ/XO control you'd need.
With the qs and ks series speakers are there any sound differences or power differences when you take out the phase plug and add the Tweeter in the middle???🤔 Do they sound better separate??? can they handle more power separate??? or is it all the same no matter the location phase plug or Tweeter???
First, there is no power advantage in either configuration. That said, the reason people choose to use "convertible" separates is a matter of taste, and of physics. With all the shapes of the average interior, cars are incredibly tough places to get good imaging. You are constantly fighting phase and distortion issues, so having choices as to where you mount the tweeter is huge. Many professional installers try mounting the tweeter in several places before they settle on a final location. Some mount it in the cone as a point source (looks like a coaxial, but isnt). Some mount it on the sail panel. Some on the A pillar, etc... There is no single best place to mount a tweeter on every car: the reality is that you FIND the best location by listening, trying something different, then listening again.
Question about the peak of a speaker. If the speaker is rated 100w rms with a peak of 300w, does that mean you can play a 300w signal through the speakers without blowing them as long as there are no clipped signals going to the speakers? I always go by the RMS wattage of any speaker thinking if I can match the RMS wattage without clipping they would sound great and I would never blow them.
What’s funny is home theater is moving more toward auto than the other way around. Fact of the matter is auto aimed speakers are just as good, if not better, and home theater keeps moving more and more to auto speakers because class D amps are expanding home theater quickly. Guess what else uses class d amps? Auto applications. We’ve been running class d for years and years and making speakers to be used by them for just as long. That’s why people are using auto stuff in home audio.
I absolutely love my KS speakers in my GMC Canyon. Love their shallow profile and great sound.
What year is your canyon, I’m looking at installing kicker KS speakers all the way around. As well as how hard was it to install the speakers.
Really wish there was a q class 6x9 component. Even with a midrange and tweeter
Installing kss269 and ksc6930 in my 2020 Titan in a couple of days. First Kickers I've ever had in my ride.
If you need help, don't hesitate to contact our Techs! They are available weekdays from 8-5c at 405-624-8510.
@KICKER-AUDIO Thanks. I've got an installer do the work. I am in no way qualified to do it.

Great show tonight explaining the speaker lineup. Man I wish I could get my hands on some QS 6.5s. Its looks to be a gem of a speaker.
Thanks The 6.5's are available right now: www.kicker.com/41QSS654

@@craigengelman4534 What kind of comment is that? If you can't afford it, no big deal. Theres cheaper.
I would love to find a working set of vintage 90's era Kicker 6x9s with D20 tweeter..! I've always been a huge fan of Kicker ( Stillwater Designs)
Class AD
Jeep Renegade, KS 3.5 coax or the 2.75" mid in the dash? Will be paired with KS 6x9 in the doors, running active with about 50W a channel.
Sure, that would be a good combination!

So do we (hence the "livin loud" tagline)! If you want help with XO settings, give us a call or email: 405-624-8510 or support@kicker.com.
@@KICKER-AUDIO I emailed bout a week ago. I'll call rn thanks guys!
Won first place!!
You should get rid of all the peak ratings across the board it cheapens your product! Ask anyone in the game!
Could you use the QSC674 mid driver with the tweeter from the QSS674? Basically build a neo component set.

Do the tweeters fit factory tweeter location on most vehicles. Specifically a 21 f150
Yes. About 80% of the vehicles on the road, but you still have to measure to verify before installation.
would love to see a physical diagram of each speaker showing depth, width etc (not just numbers)
Those are available. Email support@kicker.com and request the mechanical drawings for any speaker we make.
Cs series in honda pilot has good mids and highs
i need mids and highs that can keep up with the Quadbox....
Get good aftermarket coaxial speakers and an amplifier
@@dhestondh Nope. i got 3 sets of c5 JL audio components. so far its sounding awesome

Kickers can't handle even half there rating. Go call any other car audio company for system setup help!

Will the 48KSS269 components fit a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab?
Yes they will!
@@KICKER-AUDIO Yup, they do indeed fit. Got them installed a couple of days ago.
I have a 2008 Ram 1500. Which set of component 6x9's would you recommend, the 47KSS6904, or 48KSS269?
The KSS269 should be in next month. Do you have dash speakers?
When is the Q class coming in a 6x9
www.kicker.com/q-series-qs-coaxial-69-4ohm
I’m talking about 6x9 components like the type r and the type x
Great info. Never used kicker before always have had JL. Definitely going to give Kicker a go this time around.
Good stuff!
Wow. I can't believe how far you are behind the times. Where are old stuff.
I quit watching 2 minutes in because it was like watching a bad action movie with micro second screen shots. Total waste of my time.
Couldn’t be bothered to fast forward a little bit, huh?
Why are you talking about home theater. OMG.
Everyone has opinions. Don't like make your own show.
