Thanks Julia, i am from that generation, 70's, 80's, you rock girl. congrat from Quebec, Canada
It’s this channel where the playing most reliably has the groove that is missing in so many other bass videos. You either got it or you don’t, and she’s got it!
Happy Summer
My dog was so happy watching this on the couch XD made my day!
I think we can see your soul through your guitar faces. All I can see is joy and truth. I love your playing even more. Thanks Julia
Goid morning Julia, thank for this song, here in Chile its raining heavily
When I see your name on the notification I hurry up and watch you do the thing, you're the best ❤️🎸🎸
Epic Sound Of Philadelphia groove.
Julia nails it again, with an extra groovy twitch around @4:09 , the best stuff!
Funky Boogie, thanks Julia !
Top vid.
Thanks Julia, you're the sunshine of my week-end ! Tshuss ! François
I really like your technique for playing eighth notes with two fingers. Thanks Julia
May favorite Julia Hofer!!
Love the Song…
Groovy Bass🎶🎶👍
Been missing you little sister !!! Glad to see/hear ya !!!!¡
Thank you Julia for sharing your talent. You play with passion and it shows! 😊
An epic bassline, if ever there was one! And, of course, you nailed it!
Nice!
Incredible! Enough said…
Es ist so schön zu sehen wie ein Bass mit Begeisterung und mitgrooven gespielt wird! Mehr davon!
Bonjour, je suis totalement d'accord avec vous !
Salutations de France.
Great playing. Love her facial expressions. Gettin' into it
I'm a bass player also you are awesome I really enjoyed listening to you
wow so good Julia !
Fantastic choise! Friday Grove! Bass godess! 🙂
Some bass lines excel beyond the disco one beat up and down, and this is one of them, it even added a snarl to the beautiful bass face.
Julia, thank you so much for putting extra groove in my life. Having soaked up as many of your fantastic videos as one man can in 24 hours, I've just bought a Jacksons 3CD box set (late 1970s) and a 4-CD Earth, Wind and Fire box set. I consider myself kinda lucky to be born in 1962, because when Fantasy came out, I worked out the chords on the piano, and drove my family mad by playing it non-stop. - Richard in the UK
Love the Jackson also this track, one of my favourite still boogie to it at my age...💙👊😎
A really cool phrasing inside a hypnotic groove
Always enjoy your videos!
Holy Julia !!! TABS !!!! This one goes on my to play list.... thanks so much!!!!
Julia's version is so much hotter than the version in the chart here. More slides, more dead notes, the line just comes alive. It feels like how it'd be played by someone who's listened to Flea a bunch and couldn't help themselves... I know I couldn't 😁
My goodness! Real honest musicianship, proper notation, technique, and earnest joy in investment! 24 hours from now I will play in public. And only manage a small fraction of what I just witnessed. Goodness sakes alive!! Every time.
Awesome!!!
This is my favourite bass guitar of yours. It looks so rugged and majestic.
Always wonderful to see you having fun Julia 😎👏👏
Tight!
Thank you, Julia. That looked like a workout!!
The girl we need in our band! YES ❤
What a great bassline, wow 🤩🤩🤩
Makes me wanna learn to play bass, awesome!
Do it. I started about 18 months ago so a newbie really but I enjoy practising almost every day.
Excellent bass, wow nicely played by Julia
Sounds great!
Fabulous and inspiring, Julia! Great to see you.
Will you play your upright bass for us sometime? 💕🤗
Sam Wilkes would be proud of your bass playing and t-shirt choice
Girl you got some serious bass face! Your skills are incredible, thanks for sharing your gift with the world!!!
Excellent groove Julia !✌
Always a pleasure to watch you "find the groove"! Kudos! 👍❤️💪
Great video Sugar ...G...
Love her playing!❤
Really good fingers!!! Bravo Julia!!!
Julia your bass playing is AWESOME 😅😅 Great watch
She's amazing!
Love that track and, man did she own that! That was some serious groove. Great to see someone really into their thing!! Great playing.
Hey Julia! That was one of the best disco songs I've ever heard! The thing that was always tough for me was playing those octaves for 5 minutes. I like the way this line breaks up those eighth notes. You played it fine-tastic! Love the sound of those flat wounds.
Man you Groove Julia!
Haven’t listened to Blame It On The Boogie in years. Excellent job.
Thank You !💙🤎
You always make me stop and watch. Your art and mastery is always above the bar. Bass BAE ❤🎶🎸
I've always loved the beginning bass intro in this song. So cool.
There's a deep soul in the musician you are. Thank you Julia !
Great job! Was just listening to this song because of Tito Jackson's death. You rocked a very busy bass part.
Noice!
The Mick Jackson version of this track is very interesting, as he seemed 2 B highly influenced by Stevie Wonder....so the track sounds like a Stevie tune.
I like this song and the bass line on it. Awesome composition.
There should be a "bass face" band composed of all the fab lady bass players of the world, including Este Haim from Haim and Johanna Soderberg from First Aid Kit along with Julia, make it so!
Wonderful !
What about a next song of the Beatles ? Famous for Eric Clapton guitar solo... But extraordinary bass line from Paul McCartney. While my guitar gently weeps.
I am sure you will perform it perfectly, Julia 😊
All the best,
knarf from France 🎸 🇨🇵
Hi! you are an excellent bassist and have a great sense of groove. I recommend you listen to Dionne Warwick, especially the song 'Deja Vu.' It has an impressive bass line
No culpes a la noche. No culpes a la playa. No culpes a la lluvia. Será que no me amas 🎶
Great song and great playing...!!
Excellent ! Well done Julia ;-)
Bravo Julia you have great feel and highly skilled, love your groove blessings
Thanks for adding the tab! ❤
Funny that this video came out last week, next week Tuesday and Wednesday I will be playing this song live with the school band on our school Summer concerr
Great job on playing the bassline.I grabbed my guitar and jammed along with you it was a lot of fun!!!😊
YOU GO GIRL !!
Best playthrough of this song I've ever heard, bravo 👏👏👏 Julia!
Awesome bass line! Listening you play it it's just amazing. It's always good to see you playing... What a monster tone
True bass, must be played with total immersion in the groove
AI ain’t never gonna be able, to play like Julia 😌
Julia Hofer,i love your videos, great grooves, and you are very kind!
This is just so good!
One of my funk favorites. And as always, love your playing. You should take a listen to Paramore's Ain't It Fun. That's got a very groovy bassline to it.
Stunning 👍👍
Great job Julia ! Love the J bass as well . sounds great
Great playing...thanks for an inspiring vid
Awesome Job!🎉
Such a joy, Julia and Motown songs! I wonder if you’d consider covering Bad Company’s Good Lovin’ Gone Bad.. British rock but kinda.. funky bass line??!
Awesome as always!!
You’re the groove for this channel! 😎
Wonderful!!
Expertly done!!
Watching you play and enjoy yourself repinds me of why I wanted to play bass in the first place!
Superb playing, what a song and bass line. Do you have the music to go with this great video. Cheers
Great playing, very cool ! And beautiful bass.😎
So Nice!😍
Still a great song after all these years. Good to see Julia drop the 'bass face' early doors. 🙂
You played it the right way, like a consummate professional, good job youngster. I just figured this out but...I am playing it so different. There's no guitar solos or strong leads in this song, so it's open for fun to get creative with vocally. As long as it sounds good to you, then this song has fun experimentation written all over it. You should do a solo, yes !. I find ways to spice up bass in my life, it's fun that keeps us alive.
Deine Spielfreude überträgt sich auf die Zuhörerschaft !
Aw it had to end. Brought joy though
One of my favorite bass lines! I wanted to hear Ms. Julia play this entire song in her favorite Jackson 5 basslines video, my wish has been granted today. It's always a treat to hear Ms. Julia's bass covers 😊
I have a question that @2:50 part in the original song, isn't that played with some overdrive with slap technique because it sounds more punchy?
Love it, your timing sounds so groovy. 👍
Great job Julia. But I still want to know the meaning of the pineapple!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
GO, JULIA!!!! 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Really well played 👏👏
