Sosua is better for the simplicity, safety, and beautiful beaches. Cartagena is far superior when it comes to mangoes, nightlife (when open), restaurants and culture, but gets major points subtracted as a city for the street vendors, panhandlers, street rappers, and other pests who annoyingly follow tourists around all day and night.

I like cartegena's night life. But everyone has a hustle there. People borrow kids and try to panhandle. I think sosua is simple. I visited a barranquilla, co and it was so much more cheaper. I got a haircut and tattoo for $31 march 2023.

I haven't been to either but from what I've seen online and heard from folks Sosua. You can scoot over there for the weekend and back easily. A friday and Saturday night is all I need.

I been to both countries and while Columbia has some pretty chicas its not sosua 247 one has to wait for the night life in Columbia to have their fun. DR will always get my vote the women are much thicker, its my 2nd home for many yrs and well I can vibe easier with the Dominican women. Columbia Spanish annoys me lol and that's coming from a Hispanic man like myself. I’ve visited both last year, Cartegena in July and Sosua in December. Cartagena girls are prettier on average but their much thicker in Sosua! Sosua is cheaper and safer so i’d choose Sosua! However i love the way the women in Cartagena nun wrong with Sosua but Colombian/Venezuelan women are slightly more catering
And i will be goin bak to Sosua next week and again for Halloween so that shud tell u a lot 😂
