Mine is not in good condition (trailer) but on the bottom of his foot I got him autographed buy jack angel who played ultra magnus in the 3rd and 4th season. and also played omega supreme. can't wait for his review

This actually makes me really appreciate the combiner wars ultra magnus from a while back; you can really see a lot of places where they took design ques from G1 magnus in the transformation itself.

Back 1986 I always want Ultra but my father never bought one ! 32 years later was 2018 finally G1 Ultra Magnus be come part of my collection! Great video!

WFC Spoiler pack is my first Magnus. I couldn’t get him as a kid. And now I’m 46, WFC has gotten me into collecting and I’m happy with my first version. I actually didn’t know as a kid that he was a white Prime separate from the armor haha.

UM is easily one of my top five. I even named my RV Ultra Magnus, and maybe someday - I'll get a paint wrap done up to match - I bought an old one, so the paint is chalky anyway. "You kids" are doing some pretty cool stuff with paint wraps and 3D printing these days. Maybe get somebody to 3D print up some new overhead cab marker lights that resemble the rockets?.. that'd be cool. I also have B9 the FJ Cruiser, and K8M the KTM [get it? durr - I wasn't very imaginative with that one! Horrible not-a-dad-dad-joke] KTM dual sport bike with bumper rack mount for B9. And that all kits together into a neat haul package on a trailer behind UM, making my whole existence into a kit...
A small kit of things, but a Free one, able to roam with my paid for house on wheels - Free for now anyway...
I absolutely *detested* Rodimus Prime - because, all the reasons.
I saw UM as the rightful leader, even with his faults. I didn't get an Optimus as a kid, I was just a year or so too young for the first wave, though I did get a Megatron later because my father likes guns. When UM was released, I found one in the the Goodwill store toy bin. The white cab was "Ghost Prime" while the full powersuit was just UM, as himself. Two separate characters. It was a bit of a Clark Kent/Superman play dynamic, but I made it work.
Does anyone know if there was ever a UM done in Optimus colors?
I've always wanted an RV that looks like Rodimus! LOL!
I don't believe UM was ever done in Prime colors, I would be ALL OVER that! There is the Powered Convoy (original Japanese version) with a blue cab I'd love to get a copy of!

In my opinion a must-have if you're going to have a G1 collection; the Kingdom one is awesome, but you can never go wrong with this guy. With my G1 Magnus, I took a spring from an ink pen and made a couple of springs for the missile launchers. Easy work around to the "safety feature" lol. Love the review as always, man.

I remember as a kid seeing the movie for the first time and I thought Ultra Magnus looked like a much beefier Optimus. I finally found out in my late teens that the toy literally was a white Optimus with armor. It blew my mind!

Good review. not many people know that there was a plastic tire version of this figure also and the ultra magnus (white optimus) part head had diffrent eyes while some had blue eyes others had yellow eyes, also too Some white primes were not metal they were plastic. also the Ultra magnus Head (armor head) didn't have a face it was all blue plastic.

Powered Convoy had a blue cab...seen most recently as Takara's LGEX Magna Convoy, a blue repaint of the Classics Optimus mold; the whole Powered Convoy was introduced in the Masterpiece series as Delta Magnus. And oddly, a repaint of Ultra Magnus into Delta Magnus has been rumored for years (originally from the Combiner Wars mold, later the Siege mold)...only to never happen.
Siege/Kingdom Magnus actually does have a nerfed car carrier function. On the bottom deck, you have to open up the side (due to the transformation), but, you can get a Micromaster vehicle or two in there, or maybe just one Legends sized vehicle. And up top, there's maybe room for two or three Micromasters depending on the vehicles and if you have the large gun mounted at either end. While it sucks that he can't load up Deluxe or Voyager cars, the Micromasters & Core class were likely the intended play pattern anyway...even if it's a lame idea (since nobody asked for or cares about Micromasters aside from Soundwave's Minions).

Actually, Cartoon Magnus didn't have an inner Albino Prime. The carrier was part of his body.

Have you tried clear nail or floor polish? Clear nail polish is my go-to fix for loose joints and worn pegs.

Is there any option to distinguish the original from the 2002 reissue? They used the same diecast, plastic, literally everything. I saw in the comparative photos that even the date is the same "hasbro 1984". Found the trailer in a second hand store, it has plastic wheels, that's probably the only thing that stands out. I wonder if it's the original or the re-edition.
You have a vintage there. Plastic wheels was the 2nd release of the original.

It’s is definitely not the same plastic.
In my opinion the pins on the original Optimus and ultra Magnus figures look better than the reissue’s the ones on the re-releases are longer and makes it look ugly in my opinion
